Dropped off a small bag of books at the thrift store this week and sent 2 bags off with the housekeeper. DH added a pair of shoes to the bag. I added a blouse and a piece of fabric. It's wasn't a big purge, but slow and steady wins the race right?
I took photos of the pink Pyrex last night and will try to get it listed this weekend. Not going to go for top dollar, just want to get it out of here. If anyone is a collector, let me know and I'll let you know when I get them listed. I also earmarked several pieces of Corningware from the 1970's (wedding gifts) that I plan to list on eBay soon. Haven't used this stuff in years and it's just in the way.

I listed a few items on ebay yesterday. Have more to list this coming week.
I can't believe the year is almost over.

Best validation is when eBay stuff sells.
This morning I pulled everything out of under my bed.
Vacuumed all of that open space.
Recycled the ZipeMate cardboard box. I had always kept it because when I did live a lifestyle where we moved every couple years, it made sense to have a perfect fit box. But I'm not moving long distance any time soon. Out it went.
I consolidated very sentimental stuff into one tall Rubbermaid bin, used the now empty underbed bin to store gift wrapping supplies.
Oh, and I've determined that I have enough Christmas wrapping paper without buying any this year. Eight rolls! And last year I bought bows from Target at 90% off.
So I'm not buying any wrapping supplies to hold onto for next Christmas either. I'm sick of storing it for a whole year, discount or not.
I neatly put the few things back under my bed, clean and easily accessible.
I also pulled all my scrapping tools from places they were tucked randomly. So much that I haven't used in a long time, but I'm going to make decisions about what to cull another day.

After 2 months or so of carrying it around in my car, I dropped off a few bags of items from my son’s bedroom closet.
The big clean out is over and we are down to a trickle that, I guess, would be the normal state of affairs. Determined to keep the stuff from coming in to only a necessary minimum.

Best validation is when eBay stuff sells. It is! I am always a bit shocked at how much people want to pay me for my clutter. Craziest was when I sold my 1990's Patagonia fanny pack for $55! It went to Japan. Wishing I had a few more tucked back. So I'm not buying any wrapping supplies to hold onto for next Christmas either. I'm sick of storing it for a whole year, discount or not. I quit storing Christmas paper a couple of years ago. It's nice not to have those rolls in the way. Quit using bows many years ago. I have a huge stash of ribbon and use that, or just pick up a small package of curling ribbon.

Okay, so one more thing for today.
I dealt with my inbox.
6000+ emails, sorted through and deleted.
I will make sure to keep up with that. 😀

I sent 12 bags/boxes to Goodwill a couple of weeks ago. All of it was from my garage -- much of it was left over from a long-ago garage sale. I always thought I'd take some of the items to a resale shop, but never got there. Finally got sick of tripping over all of it, so I gave it the old heave-ho on a Sunday afternoon. So happy to see open space in my garage!

I just went through all of our outdoor holiday illumination that we store in our garage and took 80% of it to Goodwill. We bought one of those lazer things last year and the husband is SO happy all he has to do is stick it in the ground and run an extension cord to it. It also cleared off a whole shelf in the garage.

Wanted to wish all my fellow declutterers and purgers a very Merry Christmas (if you celebrate) and a Happy New Year! Hopefully after a year of weeding out all of our homes are cleaner and neater. I'm still working on the guest room but it is in much better state than it was this time a year ago.
Is anyone interested in another thread like this in 2019? Or am I the only one who still has a good bit of decluttering to do? I'm willing to start a thread, but was thinking we might try doing it monthly like the craft thread does. I've noticed we seem to get lost and no one can find us later on in the year. This way we would be more accessible to those who get inspired to declutter later in the year. Thoughts?

I'd love monthly threads to chime in on. You would think after several years of decluttering, my stuff would be perfectly organized and pared down, but it just isn't so.

I'm okay with an annual thread OR monthly threads. I bookmark the thread so it's easy to find and to see if there are new posts. The shed is high on my list to tackle in the new year - and I'm also hoping that when my son comes back stateside in the spring/summer, he'll be collecting all of HIS stuff and I can re-claim my closet.
