This is just awesome beyond words! I am so happy for you! Relieved, too. I can't quite believe the pain is almost all gone and yet it is. Modern medicine is a miracle!

I wish I could exchange my husband's father's bladder to your husband.
He had a tiny bit if cancer, one that was easily cut out. He didn't even need chemo, but he talk the doctor into it( because husband's brother was getting chemo for prostrate cancer, FIL decided he needed chemo too). It is a mess now.
Your husband would have taken better care of it.

megmc: Awe, thank you. This is his 5th bout, I believe. I can't keep up! The first one was cut out simply and he was in the clear for 4 years and then it came back. Every time they get rid of it, it seems to be coming back more quickly. He began by getting checked for prostate cancer and was cleared (although his prostate is too large), but that's how they found the bladder cancer. He goes tomorrow for hopefully his 5th out of 6th treatments this time unless his infection isn't cleared. Ugh. It'll be his day for my support. elannah: YES, isn't it??? I told the surgeon that my 83 year old mom said, "It finally took a female surgeon to get it all out!!" and she laughed. I thank God she came to Tampa out of all the places she could have gone to!! She's perfection and is my new hero. It's a different world being out of pain. I feel more at peace every day.

I am thrilled to read about how well you are recovering. Your story makes people suck in their breath in awe of what you've been thru, and say "What a story!" I'm not surprised she wants to put it on her website.

Each update is better and better! I’m so happy for you. I do like that she said there’s more healing coming. Although you feel so good, the fact that you can feel even better? Awesome! And your story will be a beacon of hope for those who come behind you.

This is still one of the best things I've read on this board. Hugs and wishes for continued healing and no more pain!
