Has anyone ever been there? Its a little over an hour away for me and I have never made the trek. I am wondering if its worth it? Do they sell popular brands? Would they have newer releases? I have been getting into stamps and dies a lot lately and I really like brands like Lawn Fawn, MFT, Tim Holtz, etc.
TIA!

I go there frequently, it is about a 45 minute drive for me. I have been a customer practically since they opened and they were in a different location then. They have tons of stuff, and get new things in frequently. It really is an awesome store, and the staff are good about helping you out if you have questions or need something. Go to their website and check out their newsletter archive it'll give you some idea of the sorts of things they're getting in, although they get lots in that probably isn't listed in the newsletter either. They have regular crops, sales, lots of different classes and events in the store. Go check it out, you won't regret it, although your checkbook might LOL!

It has been several years since I've been there (I'm from Indiana and was visiting a friend in PA). It was one of the larger LSS I've been in. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I’m about 45 minutes away also. It is a well stocked and very friendly store. They have lots of planned events . I highly recommend a trip there. We should all meet up sometime!

Okay Now I want to know where everyone is from! haha I'm in the South Hills very close to South Hills Village Mall if you are familiar. We are headed into downtown Pittsburgh tomorrow morning and then we will be heading north! I wasn't going to go but now you guys have me excited! We used to have a smaller store not too far but they moved and got even smaller so it wasn't worth the trip anymore. There is a craft store about a half hour from here that is a little better than a Michaels or Joann's but still no newer product. I go there frequently, it is about a 45 minute drive for me. I have been a customer practically since they opened and they were in a different location then. They have tons of stuff, and get new things in frequently. I didn't even think to look at that!

I've been going to the store since it opened. I'm about an hour away, and it is worth the trek. (I used to live in Mt. Washington, now I live in Munhall. ) It is full service. It is friendly. It has about everything you'd care for. There are items for local scrapbooking - Kennywood, etc. I asked for an Idlewild title and they got one for me. Their crops are great. They have a huge cropping area, with tools that you can use. They have a photo machine if you want to print pictures. There is a great stamping, mixed media corner of the store. (We call it the "Tim Holtz" corner). I've used the crop area on my own time, during their specified crop times and during events crops, and I've never been disappointed. Their themed multi-day crops are fun and filled with games, sales, make n takes and 2-page LO classes. You can even order over the phone and they will mail stuff to you. I once watched an employee walk around the store with the phone and describe and pick out items for an out of state order. (It was a husband ordering stuff for his wife!)
For your planning purposes, I always make a loop around the store first to look at everything and take it all in. Then I make a second loop to shop! LOL
If you haven't left downtown yet, you can make a quick stop into Stamp Fanci on the way up North. Super fun little stamping store. It will whet your appetite for Scrapbook Station! LOL
Have fun and let us know what you thought.

I’m north of Butler but south of Erie in the middle of nowhere so it’s kind of cool that I don’t have to drive too far to get to one of the best stores in this part of the country. I have to drive 20 minutes just to get to a Walmart and Joann’s and neither of them even carry inkpads anymore.

I am here now. I had to have my husband go to the car. It’s going to get ugly! Wow.

LOL Have fun and let us know what you thought. I went to Stamp Fanci years ago when I very first started scrapping. I totally forgot about that place! And Munhall! My inlaws live over there and I actually grew up very close (Clairton)! And yes I think I walked the store twice just trying to take it all in! They are having a "mini" convention there next week and are going to be getting a ton of new products in. The girl working said some of it is so new no one has even seen it yet. The downside to this of course was that there was a lot of missing things. But don't get me wrong there was so much stuff in there I was overwhelmed! It was great! This was kind of a spur of the moment trip for us so I think at the beginning of summer I might head back up again and go earlier in the day. I really wish I would have spent more time looking at all the papers. There were SO many and I really love how they have samples everywhere of what the products are. That is such a fantastic idea!!

I am going to the "trade show" next week, this is the 3rd time they've done it. The first time it was good, the included products were so-so for me, but their high level of planning and organization shone through, so I wanted to go again! Last year they really rocked it, and I'm lookin forward to it again this year. They have to all want to sleep for a week after it!

I'm glad you made the trip and got to see how great it is!
I couldn't make it to the trade show this year, but was there last year. Their events are so well done. They think of everything. We still have our lanyards from last year hanging up in our scrapbooking room. LOL
