I played the clip to hear it and my dog responded to it as if I called him. His name is Sam (also called Sammy), so Yanny is my answer.

We are having arguments in my household. My husband and son can hear nothing but Laurel. My daughter and I can hear nothing but Yanny. We are all listening on my computer.
Does this mean our audio perception of the world is as skewed as our sense of color?

It’s Yanny here but the more I listen, I can hear a ‘rel’ at the end. It’s a spooky voice!

I hear both, with Yanny being the dominant sound. It's like someone is saying Yanny and then just a beat behind them someone with a deeper voice says Laurel. Weird.

That’s crazy! I had to listen to the one with the adjusted base levels to hear Laurel. I’m in a bad mood now. This shit stresses me out.

Yanny. And for the record, I hate this whole social media “influencer” thing.

And I just Went back and listened to it with the varying frequency. Still Yanny in all of them.

I can only hear Yanny. I played it for DSO and at first he could hear Yanny, then he heard Laurel with the deeper voice. I then played it on my PC and I could still only hear Yanny.

I only hear Laurel, no matter how it changes. And it's really clearly Laurel, nothing else.

My family and I have gotten many laughs from this tonight. I hear Yanny. My 9 year old very clearly hears Laurel. I made a video of her because she was in such disbelief we did not hear Laurel. She was laughing and her eyes were so big, it was so cute. We are kind of split after we polled everyone. Out of 8 of us, I think it was 5 for Yanny and 3 for Laurel.

I hear Laurel clear as a bell. Not a hint of Yanny at all. Just Laurel over and over.

I clearly hear Laurel and can’t believe anyone hears Yanny. The exact opposite for me! So strange! What is happening?

I clearly hear Laurel on my phone and Yanny on my dd's phone. She hears both simultaneously on both phones. Freaky!

I clearly hear laurel and nothing else. I played it for dd2 and she only heard yanny. I did play it for her again later and she heard laurel that time. Dd3 is an only laurel no way could it be anything else and dd1 heard yanny- actually she said it sounded non human like a “cat throwing up” and the sound she heard was close to yanny. She is flabbergasted anyone could hear laurel.
