Do you wash them in any special way? My wires are always coming out in the washing machine. How to prevent this from happening?

I wash them on gentle in a bra bag. It fits one bra folded in half and is made of mesh.

Always on gentle, sometimes in a lingerie bag, sometimes not. The only time I’ve had a wire come out in my whole history of wearing bras was when I dried a bra and the two I bought from Victoria’s Secret which were not dried. I think VS are not the greatest quality.

I wash them on gentle in a bra bag. It fits one bra folded in half and is made of mesh. I do the same thing but sometimes the underwire still comes out. Once it comes out, it NEVER stays in. I really like the Smart & Sexy push up bras and for $12 each I don’t have a problem throwing them away. If anyone has the secret to keeping the underwires in once they come out, please share. I’ve googled it and cannot find the answer.

I think it has to do with the quality of the bras. Since I've been buying mine at Nordstrom (I wear a 38DD) for the past few years I haven't had this problem. I usually buy Natori, Chantelle, or Wacoal bras. I know I shouldn't but I wash mine with the regular dark clothes on cold on the regular cycle without a mesh bag. My bras are usually around $50-60.00 but I wait for a sale and they last for a very long time.

My expensive bras go in the washing machine no problem regular cycle. My cheap bras went in and lost wire al the time. I don't get it. I am not hand washing anything. I had to hand wash underwear in Japan and I swore I would never do that again. If my expensive bras give out well thems the breaks. So far I have had some going on a long, long time.

Nope, I just toss them in the wash with regular laundry. The only time I've had a wire pop out was after I wore a bra to death.

I usually buy Natori, Except for the bra size , I would answer the same. I buy only Natori now. I wash them in a lingerie bag and air dry. When I bought Victoria's Secret bras, I did have an issue with wires popping out. But I have not experienced that even once with the Natori.

Since I started wearing Wacoal and Spanx, I've had no trouble with wire coming out. I wash on regular cycle and hang them to dry. The ones from VS were always coming out and I would sew them back in.

I wash mine in a large mesh laundry bag. I can fit 3 or 4 in the bag and wash with like colors on a regular cycle. I hang them to dry. I wear a bra twice before washing and they usually last for years. I think I’ve only had the wires wear through once or twice. Usually I give up a bra because it gets so worn that the nylon threads start to irritate my skin. I’m weird that way

I have large breasts, so I pay top dollar for good, comfortable bras. Ok don't laugh, but I put them in a salad spinner. It's only used for my bras. I put a little bit of laundry soap, fill it halfway, then put the bra in and spin away. Then I dump the water and spin to get most of the water out. Then I lay flat to dry. If I have enough clothes to run a load on delicate, then I throw them in the washer in a bag.

I have only had the problem with either: *cheap bra *bra that I have worn and worn and worn and worn
I purchase Bali underwire bras. I wash them on a gently cycle and hang to dry. That is the only brand I have worn for about 20 years. I wear a bra 3 days and then wash it (unless some serious physical activity was involved). I wear a bra about 2 years before replacing it.

I usually buy off the clearance rack, so they're not expensive. They get washed in the regular wash with other items and dryer dried. When a wire gets pokey I toss the bra.

Like others, lingerie bag, gentle cycle, hang to dry. And I haven't had problems with the wires in decades, once I started wearing higher quality bras. Chantelle is my go-to. I know they're a little $$$ but they really do make a big difference in how I look, how they wear, and how long they last.

Wash in a mesh bag and air dry. I don’t think I’ve ever had a wire pop out. I don’t baby my bras, but I’m not very hard on them. They have to work 8 hours a day, 4 days a week. And after that, it’s either no bra or softer sports bras.

I've never found an underwire that probably fits me - possibly because I'm too cheap to spend THAT much on a bra for me ...it's bad enough spending $50+ on DD's bras. But DD18 wears underwires - we wash on cold with the rest of the clothes and hang to dry. I don't think she's ever had a wire come out.

I wear Soma bras, and wash them in a lingerie bag, each one in an individual bag. I also air dry them. I haven't had a problem with them. I did have problems with Victoria's Secret bras in the past.

I've never had a wire come out. I wash in my machine on the handwash cycle and hang to dry.
Most of my bras are the Warner brand, purchased from Kohls.

I just toss mine in the wash with the regular clothes...wash on cold, make sure I clasp them before washing and hang to dry.
I can't remember the last time I had a wire pop out, I wear Wacoal bras. DD wears Maidenform and occasionally she'll have a wire pop, I push it back in and close the opening with a couple stitches.

My bras are usually around $50-60.00 but I wait for a sale and they last for a very long time. Same, same. I wear a small band/large cup size which I've really only ever found at Nordies, and I buy the same brands. I buy in July during the Anniversary Sale so they're only expensive, rather than I wash all my bras (hooked closed) together on cold, gentle cycle, hung to dry, and I wash them less often than some people would, but my bras last 2-3 years without any pokey underwires. The elastic gives out, or my size changes. I stopped using mesh bags after I noticed that they were the only things that ever tangled in the bra hooks. Of course, buying from Nordstrom, I would return the bra as defective if the wire poked out of its pocket, unless the bra was years old.

I used to work at Victoria's Secret and the manager always told us we should tell people to use the lingerie bag, if not hand wash, and no dryer. I always just tossed them into the washer with the rest of my load and into the dryer. Now, years later, I can honestly say it depends on your washer/dryer and the bra. If you love the $12 bra, then keep fighting the wires coming out.

I'm afraid I'm lazy and just pop them into a laundry bag for bras (not the wide mesh that the hooks get caught in, the window-netting style) and throw them in with everything else. My bras are DKNY.
I just went online to see what the model was, and found my local store has discontinued them. Now I'm gutted!

Thanks for the advice. Looks like I have to get the mesh bags and hopefully they will help
We basically only have Triumph and Playtex brands, which are not cheap bras. There is only one bra that I wear that fits properly so I buy 2 or 3 at a time. I only wear a bra for 2 to 3 months and then the wire pops. I do admit that I put the bras in the tumble dryer but normally when the wires come out it happens in the washing machine.

I've never had a problem and i'm not that careful with them either. I wash in a lingerie bag with my regular laundry. I always hang them to dry though so not sure if this is saving them?
