Rural whites finally got what they wanted - judges and laws against gays and for God and guns. Lest they forget, they will lose their guns and God with 'Putin' in charge!

House Appropriation Dems....
“JUST IN: @housegop sided with @potus and voted down @repmikequigley's effort to restore election security grants that prevent hostile powers like Russia from hacking our elections. #ProtectOurDemocracy”
Guess the Republicans don’t care if our elections are meddled with.

“Steny Hoyer, on motion to recommit to spending bill for more election security funds: "Surely we can rise above pandering to party and Putin to act on behalf of our freedom and our security."
Dems start chanting "USA! USA!" on House floor. (via CSPAN)”
You know you would think the Rrpublicsns care about making sure our elections are safe from outside sources. I guess if they passed this bill they would have to admit the possibility that trump and Russia are one.

Guess the Republicans don’t care if our elections are meddled with. I heard a clip on MSNBC yesterday... maybe a twitter comment? that some Trumpers said 'does a little Russian meddling (in the way of targeted news stories, etc.) really matter all that much?' (if it helps them, that is... of course they don't care.) They don't seem to understand the whole "other countries should NOT meddle in the election process at ALL, no matter WHAT" part of things.

Was there ever any question that he knew? Do people really doubt this? How would it be it possible that we know but he didn't? The indictments and the original report by the 3 intelligence agencies were made public. And of course as POTUS he got more detailed information. Anyone who believed he had no idea is being purposefully obtuse, at best. How can people be shocked though? For YEARS, stories of Trump were printed about how selfish he is, how much he embellished and lied, how he was a shady business man, how he treated minorities badly, how he ripped of contractors and renters, how he raped and sexually assaulted women and young girls. YEARS...NOT MONTHS, YEARS. How anyone could still vote for him after THAT, should not be surprised how he is acting now. THIS IS NOT NEW BEHAVIOUR. It’s Trump....all Trump.

“The *only* reason Republicans don't want to release all of Kavanaugh's records is they know if they do, there won't be time to confirm him before the election.
They would rather not vet him at all than risk losing the Senate and giving Democrats a say.”
Well you know, it’s all about winning and the Republicans will just do about anything to win and get what they want.

It doesn't surprise me that Republicans voted down subpoenaing the translator, at all.
Aside from any questions of privilege or legality related to the translator specifically, Republicans really just don't want to *KNOW* how bad or compromised Trump is; as long as they DON'T-- oh, they suspect, or they've 'heard' things, but they don't *KNOW* ... as long as they DON'T actually have PROOF, they have plausible deniability, and they therefore won't feel obligated to actually DO something to stop him.
As long as they can make it look like they don't KNOW, they can push their agenda forward in [manufactured] ignorance-- kind of like when a baby or toddler puts their hands over their eyes and thinks YOU can't see THEM. Or when someone sticks their fingers in their ears and says. 'la, la, la, I can't heeeaar you' when you're saying something they don't like.

I’m not sure who Col.Morris Davis is, big I think he pretty much covered it.,,
.”@realdonaldtrump is “not afraid of anything” ... except for serving in the military, STDs, the public seeing his tax returns, a bald eagle, Putin, a no-carts golf course, Bob Mueller, windy days outdoors without a cap, an honest day’s work, facts, strong women, smart people ...”
Well, maybe I would add face to face confrontations. He runs away like a little baby then flings insults from a safe distance but never face to face.

They are at it again...
“Trump administration seeks endangered species rule changes”
“DENVER (AP) — The Trump administration wants to change how endangered species are protected by the U.S. government.
Administration officials on Thursday proposed new rules they said would advance conservation by simplifying and improving how the landmark Endangered Species Act is used.
The changes include potential limits on habitat protections, an end to automatic protections for threatened plants and animals, and streamlining inter-agency consultations when federal government actions could jeopardize a species.
Wildlife advocates say the changes will speed extinctions in the name of furthering the administration's anti-environment agenda.
The proposals come amid longstanding criticism of the Endangered Species Act by business groups and Republicans in Congress.
Republicans lawmakers are pushing legislation to enact broad changes to the Endangered Species Act, saying it hinders economic activities while doing little to restore species.“
Another big difference between the Democrats and Republicans. Again Republican scare tactics. “Saving a species stops economic growth”. When in fact businesses and environmentlists do work together so both sides get what they want.
Ps - Killing off a species won’t bring back those jobs the rust belt folks wanted.

The Hoarse Whisper....
“Umm, guys...
Robert Mueller just submitted his list of evidence for the Paul Manafort trial and look whose name is all over the first 30 items.
Tad Devine.
Bernie Sanders' Chief Strategist.”
This could get to be really interesting as Mueller shakes the trees and who may fall out of the trees.

or did Paul Manafort try to mess with Bernie in some way to sabotage his campaign in order to help Trump? (because Bernie was sooooo popular.)
I could totally see something like that happening...

Ah we don’t need them. trump will be turning the keys to The White House when/if Putin comes to DC in the fall. It’s a done deal.

Tad Devine. Bernie Sanders' Chief Strategist.” This could get to be really interesting as Mueller shakes the trees and who may fall out of the trees. I don't care who all falls out of the trees - if they were involved, they need to be investigated. If they were duped into something, fine...let them testify and we can make sure it doesn't happen again. If they acted willingly, then give them due process and if convicted, punish them. This isn't a Democrat or a Republican thing. It isn't a Trump or a Hillary thing. Whoever has done something shady/illegal/undemocratic needs to be found out so we can preserve our sovereignty and democracy. If it turns out that Hillary herself set Trump up to take the bait so that she and Putin could laugh at him when it's all over, then Hillary needs to be punished as well. I don't care what party someone belongs to, this is too important to half-ass.

And it was a complete party line vote, not one Republican had the backbone to vote for this. Not only that, Nunes wasn't even going to recognize the motion, had to be talked into it. I really wouldn't be surprised to find out he has his hands in the Russian cookie jar. I can't find their reasoning for voting no, has anyone read anything that would indicate why?

I think the evidence they are referring to is emails between Sanders' strategist and Manafort. Best I can tell they worked together to get someone elected in the Ukraine, but I can't tell if his work on that campaign was considered acceptable and above-board or not. And I can't tell if the evidentiary emails are in relation to that. I will admit my ignorance and that I am shocked that a political strategist was working on foreign elections. Is this common?

Although I doubt very much you will fine Hillary & Putin working together. The story is Hillary has been on Putin’s revenge list every since she gave a couple of speeches as Secretary of State criticizing his election before this last one. And that is one of the main reason he mettled in the elections was to deny her becoming president. The fact trump turned out to be the other guy was, I believe, a gift to Putin.

Just what we need. That is horrifying. Children have these printers. That in and of itself should have been enough to stop this madness. And once this information is out there, it's out there. I am surprised firearms manufacturers weren't up in arms about this. Maybe they figured they will be starter guns and bring more people into the fold. eta: The more I think about this the more furious I get. This effectively renders all existing and future regulations useless.

Yes, he has worked for European politicians over the years as well as the middle east. He also worked for Al Gore in 2000 and John Kerry in 20014. On the surface, I don't think there's anything untoward in having a "foreign" adviser or a media consultant.
