It is the guy that dt shoved out of the way last year at some international meeting of world leaders, so he, dt, could be in the front row for the pictures..

This is nuts.... Rachel Maddow.... “After White House inexplicably expresses willingness to consider Russia's demand to hand over former US Ambassador Michael @mcfaul "for questioning," Amb. @mcfaul joins us tonight to respond.” wow... THIS show I'm going to watch, for sure- 'so, what do you think about them 'handing you over, Ambassador?'

Bill Kristol ....
“On way to Aspen Security Forum. Flight from Denver took off, flew awhile, turned around and we’re back in Denver. Allegedly taking off for Aspen soon in another plane. Meanwhile, about 20 Obama Administration officials and I are waiting and eyeing each other warily near Gate 90.”

It's bizarre that he should mention Montenegro in that interview unless of course that Putin had brought it up at their " private" meeting. It's known that Russia objects to any of the former Yugoslavian countries joining NATO. But to ask why he should send his son to defend them shows he really doesn't understand his obligations under the NATO Article 5 agreement, which sees an attack on one member as an attack on all. There is no reason for him to say that it would lead to WW3 in defending a country as small or as stable as Montenegro with less than three quarters of a million in population - what kind of aggression is he expecting from them. The aggression would come from Russia if that was to happen - it sounds as if he's saying that the US wouldn't defend any NATO member country against Russian aggression if the time ever came about.

The Russians handed over a "wish list" of people they wanted to interview which included the Ambassador and Browder. Well Trump can't promise them or consider handing over Browder as he's a British Citizen. LINK

The fact that this administration would even consider or validate the idea that Putin should question an American citizen, and a former Ambassador is another example of dt's continuous disregard for the Constitution. Browder is an British citizen, so dt cannot send him to Putin, and GB would never even consider the idea. Several other countries have also adopted some version of the Maginsky Act. ( and it is not about the adoptions, it's about the money) This was a bipartision bill that was signed by Obama, and dt has been trying to get it 'changed, reviewed, repealed' virtually since he took office. Because this Act directly affects the richest Russians, Putin wants it rolled back. dt should of flat out said NO. www.theatlantic.com/.../magnitsky-act-kremlin/535044

Knowing that no one else was there, taking notes is quite frightening really as nobody knows what Trump has said or promised to do. It's his word against Putin and considering that Trump's words are very very unreliable who knows what balls he's dropped in that room I can't fathom why no one had the common sense not to let a meeting like that happen.

And then there is this from David Fahrenthold.....
“NEW: @realdonaldtrump’s biz missed deadlines to pay property tax in 5 states, incurring $61K penalties/extra costs.”
Real-estate experts were puzzled. Paying prop taxes is a basic, predictable task. @realdonaldtrump’s biz did it reliably. Until last fall.“
So what’s up with this? Did they think that maybe they could get away without paying cause donnie is the president?

Trump wants to build a wall to protect us from south-of-the-border asylum-seeking BABIES based on national security, yet he's actually entertaining the idea of giving Vladmir Putin an American ambassador for questioning?!?
what the actual F%CK!!! If the Republicans don't do something concrete about him NOW, then they absolutely NEVER. WILL.

and lets not forget the immigrant children who are still awaiting unification with their parents. IF the US can locate either children or parents, and IF these children, many under 5, can withstand appearing in Court ALONE!
Meanwhile, this Administration is pay $700 a night per child to private care homes (aka baby prisons) owned by the likes of Betsy Devoss and her cultmembers.
Meanwhile, a Secret Service member dies in Scotland while protecting the President. I can't help but think that this Administration will deny his family his workman's Comp benefits. OR pick up Workman's Comp as a benefit to scale back, because it would be an advantage to the employee, and hurt the worker.
This administration, and anyone who supports it are morally bankrupt.

Jan. 6, 2017: Trump was briefed on highly classified intel — INCLUDING TEXTS & EMAILS FROM RUSSIAN MILITARY OFFICERS — showing that Putin ordered the cyberattacks designed to sway the 2016 election.
Every time he's dismissed the investigation as a "witch hunt", cried "fake news", called the press the "enemy of the American people", he did all that HAVING SEEN THE EVIDENCE
However disgusting I find Trump, I find the 62 Million who made him possible even sadder and more disturbing.
"When we brought these things to your attention, you tried to wrap it all in Old Glory apple pie and fireworks—but we had a hunch that all that past greatness you said you wanted to get back to was really just whiteness.
We thought it was just racism and nationalism. We figured it was Islamophobia and misogyny. We suspected it was weaponized religion. We imagined it was homophobia and privilege. We knew it was blind hatred of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. That was all bad enough.
We never dreamed that in your lust for Supreme Court seats and women’s rights rollbacks and NRA contributions, and for some feeling of retribution against the world—that you’d do this.
We never thought you’d ratify treason. Honestly, that’s been a shock.
But it’s clear now. We know what we’re dealing with. When you side with the Kremlin, you’ve sorta said all you have to say, haven’t you? There’s no gray area there, no red, white and blue veneer of patriotism that can make this right, no star-spangled distraction to parade in front of it all.
Millions of Americans died to protect us from the very sickness Donald Trump is willingly getting into bed with—and the fact that you don’t give a damn about it makes you reckless and irresponsible, and yeah it makes you a traitor."

Was there ever any question that he knew? Do people really doubt this? How would it be it possible that we know but he didn't? The indictments and the original report by the 3 intelligence agencies were made public. And of course as POTUS he got more detailed information. Anyone who believed he had no idea is being purposefully obtuse, at best.

Every time he's dismissed the investigation as a "witch hunt", cried "fake news", called the press the "enemy of the American people", he did all that HAVING SEEN THE EVIDENCE I read this in a Boston Globe article about Trump's muddied Russian message: "In July 2017, just after meeting Putin for the first time, Trump told a New York Times reporter that the Russian president had made a persuasive case that Moscow’s skills were so good that the government’s hackers would never have been caught. Therefore, Trump recounted from his conversation with Putin, Russia must not have been responsible." Everything he says and does is in his own self interest, not in America's. It is in his own self interest to deny Russian interference to protect the legitimacy of his presidency. Since his campaign, election, and presidency are "the best in history", anything that could disprove that is simply fake news or lies.

This really needs it own thread, though I know we are bogged down with political threads already. This article confirms what many of us have felt in our gut, known or suspected since the election. He's a traitor and anyone who allows him to continue on his merry path of destruction in their own self interests are traitors as well.

Rural whites finally got what they wanted - judges and laws against gays and for God and guns. They only needed to put up w/one tiny concession. Hey, who cares that Putin is directing America through his vassal, Trump? Don't think about that too much. Oh, look over there...Melania's getting a new jacket. And we're getting a parade! A shiny military parade!
