Tell me more about this, what do you need to get started? Just the plugs or is there something else? I might have to watch for that too! I only have one and it is like this one I just link it to my Alexa through the app and I say "Alexa, turn on the light" and the light comes on (it is so cool). I will leave the light on in the living room, go to my bedroom, turn on the light, then tell Alexa to turn off the living room light - very handy. I like it so I may add more on Prime Day - like this 3 packWe don’t have Alexa. We’re more of an Apple family so a HomePod would probably be a better fit for us since we already have so many other Apple things, but I don’t really know anything about that either. DH is kind of leery of having something connected to the Internet that is always listening, LOL. I think his tinfoil hat is a bit tight these days. But I think it would be convenient to be able to turn things on and off remotely, especially with my phone.

A 2nd Echo spot. I love that little thing and would like another one. And another set of tp-link Wi-Fi mini plugs. I’m really enjoying the ability to turn on lights from anywhere. With 2 old people and a 2 story house with a basement it’s getting more important every year. LOLTell me more about this, what do you need to get started? Just the plugs or is there something else? I might have to watch for that too! To make a short story long , I bought an Amazon Echo Spot from HSN as a special value and it came with a THIS Kasa Smart Wi-fi Plug by TP-Link. My resistant-to-technology husband surprisingly really liked it and told me to get more. The downside of that model was the fact that it's bulky and mostly covers both electrical plug outlets. I found THESE mini-links and bought a set. They are small and leave the other outlet free.
I stayed with the same brand because I liked them, but there are many other brands out there with good ratings. Plus we already have multiple Amazon Alexa devices, so using voice-assisted smart-plugs made more sense for us. I like that we don't have to invest in a hard-wired Smart hub to connect all of the devices. It's so easy to tell Alexa to turn on and off lights in different rooms with a voice command, or if we are away from home we use the app on our iPhones to turn on the lights for our dogs.

A new TV for the kitchen. Ours died a while back and I miss being able to watch the news while making dinner.

I’m thinking about getting a Kindle Paper weight. I had a Kindle a long time ago, but the last several years I’ve just been using the Kindle app on my phone and IPad. It’s inconvienient when I want to read but the battery on my phone and/or iPad is running low. I just can’t decide if I really need another device. Hopefully you want a Kindle Paper white and it doesn't become a paperweight! My Kindle was paperweight for a few days and I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm looking for new over the ear BT headphones and a Brother Scan N Cut. I've declared I won't have any craft spending in July, so I told DH he had to buy the Scan N Cut for me.

I'll be looking for a wireless charger for my phone, some of the TP link wifi plugs, and a Roomba vacuum. And maybe some new sunglasses.

Hoping for a great price on a Kindle Paperwhite ! Maybe a Bose Bluetooth Speaker too.
QUESTION - I don’t have PRIME but I have a friend who does and will order for me. Will the Prime discounted prices be listed for all to see ?

Prime Day is the 16th and I guess part of the 17th. I am confident, like 90%, that it will be part of prime day. Most of them will, but every once in a while they send an email or have special pricing just show up.

Oh my, I just researched and found out the Paperwhite will be $79.99. Kindle Unlimited is 99 cents for 3 months. Off to find out what that means.

Oh my, I just researched and found out the Paperwhite will be $79.99. My original paperwhite was dying so I traded it in in prep for prime day. They'll give you a trade in deal plus 25% off a new Kindle. I'm hoping to "stack" the percent off with my credit for the turn back on prime day and get one for an even better price. I loved mine and have been missing it, wonky battery and all.

Okay, another dumb question ~ I'm just full of them, aren't I??
Re: The Kindle Unlimited for 3 months for 99 cents. So I can download or whatever a bunch of books to take on vacation. Once you get them on your Kindle, do they stay there forever as long as you have the room?

Once you get them on your Kindle, do they stay there forever as long as you have the room? Kindle Unlimited is not any book. It’s only books that are part of their program. Best sellers are not usually part of the program. Kindle Unlimited allows you to have 10 books at a time. I would think they would go off your Kindle after the trial ends like a library book does when it’s time to be turned in. You could turn off your WiFi if you are finishing one and it will still be there, but when your turn back on your WiFi it would be gone.

I might want a doorbell camera if they have one That's on my list, too. As well as a fitness tracker/watch combo -- something simple. Maybe a Bose Bluetooth Speaker too. I love mine. I crank it up in the kitchen while cooking or cleaning and everything's just happier with music playing!

Our blender just died, so this would be a good time to replace it. Maybe a doorbell camera too. I've wanted an Epson 400 printer since forever, but they've never had much of a deal on those. Maybe this will be the year they are 50% off!
We gave DS24 a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas last year and he loves it. Very convenient size, lightweight with a readable screen. Thought I'd mention it for those who are thinking about it.
Count us among the tinfoil hat wearers. No listening devices in our house, tape over the computer cameras. Not sure if it's the hippie in me, or a throwback to my military Cold War years.

An insta pot might be a good thing right about now, althought I don't know how long we'll be without a kitchen since the storm. .. I also am going to need to replace a few things from the flood so we'll see what the insurance tells us we're just waiting for the adjuster.. I've added a few things to my cart, smaller things that I can replace.

What sewing machines are peas looking at? I sew about once a year (Halloween costumes) but would like something capable of handling heavier fabrics. Home decor, accessories, etc.

An amazon echo. We got 3 dots for Christmas. I’d like a bigger Echo for the kitchen and move the dot into the bedroom. If you are wanting the Show, you don't have to wait. It's $100 off right now and has been since last week. Ours came on Saturday and we are loving it. I need one of those plugs for my bedside lamp. My nightstands are huge and the lamps look best in the middle. I look like a contortionist trying to turn off the lamp at night. I am also keeping an eye out for the IP for my RV. I have a different brand in there now and it's about dead.
