Did you guys know that Ulta has 21 days of beauty coming up, and Sephora is having a sale as well?! I just saw that on the Beauty Chit Chat group in the last few days. I knew about the Sephora sale, it starts Friday, but when's the Ulta 21 days? Do you have any details of what's going to be on sale this time?

Can anyone recommend a liquid eyeliner? I have never used one and think that the pen type might be easier.

I broke down and bought the deal off of QVC last night out of impulse and needing some retail therapy. Long story but I am at least looking forward to giving it a try. Keep your fingers crossed for me You might like it. I have luck with the regular CC cream so I have high hopes it will workout. I hope so too. I have watched at least four beauty bloggers rave about it and one described her skin was similar to mine. Oddly enough, I had a really great day with my Perricone today. maybe it was my amped up skin care routine lately or finally got just the right amount of primer and moisturizer or something. I dunno but my makeup and skin looked pretty darn good today.

Does anyone use Bare Pro foundation? I saw a You Tuber talking about long wearing foundation and she mentioned this. I am tempted to try it. I do like the CC+ matte, especially for summer, and I also got a full-size bottle of Smashbox 15hr foundation for free from Ulta and that is good. But I still have problems with my makeup rubbing off of my nose.

Hi beauties, what are we getting at the VIB sale? I have been watching reviews of what Youtubers are getting and I am at a loss. I think I will get the Fenty eye primer. It sounds good to me. I have lots of lipsticks and use all of 3 of them. I may get another travel size mascara because I have learned. (They’re Real is my favourite). Tatcha some or other maybe the Violet C Radiance Mask and a new Beauty Blender as mine has seen better days.
This is a bit dramatic but I really want to go to Sephora today but they have deluxe sized things I like using points online. I think I will have to order online. I know what I am like and will have to go to the store and buy something, too. There is also that watermelon mask.
Ok you (plural) GO!!!

I wonder if this means Sephora won't have their usual sale in the fall or they have just added a summer sale to their lineup?

Can anyone recommend a liquid eyeliner? I have never used one and think that the pen type might be easier. I really like the Stila one. If you want to pay less and see if you like the general idea, I think a lot of the drugstore ones are perfectly adequate if you are just looking for black. As long as they aren't too "dry," I think they're pretty easy to use in general - but they definitely are dramatic, even for a softer color.

I wonder if this means Sephora won't have their usual sale in the fall or they have just added a summer sale to their lineup? Everything I've heard so far is that it's in addition to the fall sale. I think a lot of people do holiday shopping during the fall event, and they want to take advantage of that.

Ok well here is my situation. My birthday is during the VIB sale in November typically. My family says to “go get something for yourself.” So what I do is get what’s in my cart and I know my dad is beyond shopping for presents. I don’t blame him. He is 76 and tells us (DS and I) to get something from him. I have another wrinkle. I think he wants us to get new phones this year. You get to be the age where you need nothing. My clothes are still nice and have very little use and they are more classical pieces than haute couture. So I buy makeup. I think I will just get the stuff in my cart now and that will be it. There are at least 20 lipsticks I want. I wear my favourites and leave the rest.
I will watch more videos on what influencers are recommending and see if there is anything else I want. I mean maybe?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. What do YOU think I should get? It’s 20%off right?

We are heading to Las Vegas this weekend so I want to check out the big store there (we only have a little store in my area). I *dont* think there is anything, really, that I am dying for. Unless y'all convience me otherwise.

Hi well today I used my Laura Mercier primer for the first time in forever. My skin looks very glowy and dewy except it is dry. There is a beautiful sheen to this product. It is going into my rotation. I really like it a lot!!! I will see how I do the rest of the day. It hides my pores nicely and like I said that sheen is amazing!

Hi I placed my online order at Sephora today. I got the things on my wish list and added a couple of others.
I got a highly recommended powder brush from Hourglass. I have the It one as well and I swear it’s my go to brush for everything. It is truly amazing. Right now I am using it for blush. It’s so big and fluffy and I needed another one!
I got the new Hourglass setting powder, Tatcha radiance mask, watermelon mask, and Fenty eye primer. I am going today with Bff and I will get a couple of new Beauty Blenders and another mascara. I forget. Darn!!! I also told her she can use my discount to get get stuff for herself at the same time.

I think I might go with the Dior Backstage Face & Body foundation instead. It says it's water proof and sweat proof, so maybe that will be a good thing for staying on your nose? Have you guys seen the Tarte blush book? I wish Sephora or Ulta had it, but so far I haven't seen it on either website.

It was a round thing. This year’s has a better design I think. If I didn’t already have the other one I would consider it but don’t need it.

So we went to the sacred store in the mall today. I got the Laura Mercier primer, They’re Real mini mascara, 2 BeautyBlenders and a July Rouge bag. Must have been the leftover stuff they had from the gala last month that I gave to DDIL. There is good stuff in the bag, too! Also there is a Guerlain perfume sample. I think I love it 😬

I don’t know what I will get, if anything. I didn’t think I liked the Norvina palette but have seen several looks with it that are really pretty. So I’m considering that. I also have heard good things about the hourglass powders and tatcha primer.
Does anyone use the Becca hydra mist setting powder? I tried it for the first time the other day and it made my skin look cakey. Wondering if there are tricks to applying it?

After spending the last 3-4 months finally being “into” make up and buying a crap ton, I’ve come to the realization that for all the beautiful eyeshadow palettes I own I basically create the same 3 looks no matter how many amazing colors I have and I need to stop buying them! Sure I buy palettes with colors in them that aren’t in any other of my palettes but then I just create a look with the Browns which are basically the same in each palette! Lol. Is this just me? I have a brown look, a pink/brown look, and my warm peachy/coral look.
Things I am currently loving: My Mia Clarisonic. Back years and years ago, the peas enabled me to buy a Mia and I used it a couple times and shoved in a drawer. I bought a new head for it last week and began to incorporate it into my skin care routine and I’m loving it!
My tarte blush book- I got the little three color blush book with points at ulta and I really like the colors and the way the tarte formula looks on my skin
Nyx angel veil primer. I bought this and hourglass mineral veil primer at the same time and they are dupes. Both blur really well and help my foundation look great. I don’t think I will buy the hourglass when mine runs out because even if it is *slightly* better (and I’m not sure that it is) it’s way more expensive so it’s not worth the cost to me. And nyx products regularly go on sale making it even more economical.

There was hardly any product in the container and I hated it on my skin. I wouldn’t buy it again. The wet feeling is kind of cold and unpleasant.

I tried it for the first time the other day and it made my skin look cakey. Wondering if there are tricks to applying it? I'm not a huge fan of the hydra mist powder. It's terrible under the eyes, it seriously showed fine lines I didn't realize I had. I don't mind it on the rest of my face, but I don't love it either. I kinda like the cooling feeling, it's oddly different, but I wouldn't buy it again. I would recommend the Laura Mercier powder over it. I like the Norvina palette, but I love purples & pinks. I wish it had a matte mauvey shade. The sale is a great time to get the Tatcha primer. It is really nice. I still use Dr. Brandt's more often, I'm glad I have the Tatcha too, and will continue to use it sometimes. If anyone's in the market for a new setting spray, I love Glam Glow's. Smells good and has a really nice fine mist. I went last night and got the Dior Backstage foundation, Viseart Theory IV palette in Amethyst, Bite Beauty French Press lip gloss, travel size Victor & Rolf Flower Bomb perfume, and 2 travel size mascaras. The new Hourglass one and the Milk Makeup Kush one. I wanted to try both of them and was really happy to find them both in travel sizes. That was unexpected.

I need to delve into you-tube videos / go to a place like Sephora to learn how to do natural looking CONTOURING makeup. In very recent photos, I've noticed my nose looks larger, and it's really bugging me! I was so curious if this is actually a thing as we age, (or if I was just being too critical of my nose, and imagining it) ....but according to this article, it IS a thing..... www.firstforwomen.com/posts/does-your-nose-keep-growing-162596If any of you want to give me tips/ good brands of contouring makeup, I'd appreciate it!

Did you guys know that Ulta has 21 days of beauty coming up, and Sephora is having a sale as well?! I just saw that on the Beauty Chit Chat group in the last few days. What is the Beauty Chit Chat group? Sounds interesting!
I told my teens to pick Christmas gift ideas for the grandparents with the Ulta Beauty Sale. I can't wait to see what they will have for sale! We have an Ulta a couple miles away, but Sephora is in the mall (45 min. away) so we only go a few times a year.

It is a great group. People post photos of their makeup looks as well as share reviews of products and ask beauty related questions. You should look it up!

I did a huge overhaul of all of my hair products and cosmetics today. I have officially put myself on a ban on purchasing anything *unless* I am replacing something I am out of for the foreseeable future. I was actually pretty ashamed of how much stuff I had and threw out. I took a long look in the mirror and have decided to unsubscribe from all beauty related sponsored emails, unfollow certain Instagram accounts and probably stop visiting this particular thread. I have more than enough to last me through 2019 and beyond.
