What new purses is everyone getting? and earrings? Only one, a Cole Haan Zoe bucket bag in black, on sale from Nordstrom Rack. I usually only have 1 medium bag and 1 big tote at a time plus a wallet.

I ordered a new pair of statement earrings from Amazon that work well with the teal and gold I’m using. Otherwise I’m sticking with what I have. I love those earrings. Checking amazon.ca to see if they have them for less than a fortune.

I bought a new pricey purse in easy Aug so I wont be buying any new purses.
I am looking for statement earrings and necklaces right now though. I struggle wearing 'statement' anything as I prefer simple. But we'll see what I find.

I bought the burgundy purse on the GYPO list, I don’t have one in that shade and thought it was cute.
I’m on the hunt for a tassel necklace. Not digging on any of the GYPO ones...either the style or price.

I have that purse in Navy also. I ended up using it All. The. Time this summer. I may buy it in burgandy, just because it was so awesome in navy... and so cheap. Thanks for reminding me. I'm sticking with my silver tassel necklaces (one from Kendra Scott and one from Brighton). I just bought some cute beaded bracelets today (I'm on vacation) that were for an animal shelter charity, so I'm set there.

I have a gold tassel necklace and a silver one. I'm just using those, as I haven't found anything that screams "you NEED me!!".

I used your link, Merge!
I just signed up and I'm excited. I actually LOVE clothes and have a closet FULL of them...but I am just tired of what I have because most of my clothing is several years old. And here in CO, it's long sleeves/long pants weather for about 8 months out of the year, so I get really tired of wearing the same stuff over and over. For me getting dressed is a creative exercise and even though I am a SAHM I get dressed (not just jeans/tee/hoodie or yoga pants) every day and do my hair and makeup and wear jewelry. I think this challenge will be a fun creative challenge for me!

Thank you! So kind. ☺️ It’s a fun challenge and has gotten me out of my tunic and slim pants or long tunic and leggings rut. And I was pleased to see how much of this challenge I could shop out of my closet. I’ve also learned a bit about what doesn’t look good on me - for example, I’ve realized that pants with linear patterns like plaid and gingham only emphasize curves and bulges. I’ll be substituting any time those show up in a challenge from now on! All my summer gingham bottoms went to the Goodwill this trip. 😂

You guys totally enabled me. I think I'm going to bit the bullet tomorrow. I need classic casual with a few trendy pieces. I like clothes and accessories but need "permission" to buy and wear some of them. Does that make sense?
We have mostly Fall/Spring weather here so this will work well for me. I like the challenge of shopping specifically and not just buying to buy. I hope that after 1 or 2 challenges I will be able to shop from my closet. But, annual members, what are the yearly membership benefits and should I reconsider?
Thanks for sharing ladies!

I didn't sign up this season. I did a lot of shopping on my own for some travel so I really wanted to make sure that I incorporate those clothes and not buy new stuff. So I'm going to be relying on all of your pictures to help me use what I have to pull outfits together.
On another note, last week I was in London and I had a woman give me a compliment on my outfit and today I was at the airport and a woman told me she loved my scarf and the whole look of my outfit. This whole "outfit" concept has really been helped by GYPO. I have definitely been more thoughtful about the entire look, not just wearing a cute top or whatever. Not to mention, I really hate packing, but GYPO has really simplified it for me so much.
And can I just say that getting a sincere compliment from a stranger can make your entire day-I'm going to make a better effort myself to do the same.

I stopped by Old Navy today. They have a camel colored field jacket that I think will be a good sub for the camel blazer. I did order the blazer, but it hasn’t arrived yet. I picked up the field jacket today and will evaluate both when the blazer arrives. It looks sort of cream in the link, but it’s more camel IRL. oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=74688&pcid=55474&vid=1&pid=437889012

cmpeter I just looked, and you don't have to sign up again, just log into the portal, and the links are there. Mine was at least. Here's my link GYPO Fall 2018 Capsule. I pulled the trigger and used your link since yours was the one I looked at first. I'm feeling pretty comfy in my jeans/tshirt/hoodie today though, even if I don't look the most fashionable

I've gotten into the habit of telling strangers when I like what they are wearing - it drives my sons crazy but it has always been well-received.

I’ve been eyeing it in the clove (burgundy) color. Does it fit fairly true to size? I ordered this Moto jacket the other day in lieu of a striped cardigan. I have a few cardigans that I like a lot, but many of them give me a shapeless look that I don’t love. I hope the jacket is as cute as it looks online. Loft Striped Moto Jacket

I know that it says 'neutral' but I'm kind of drawn to the Wine Purple and Meteorite - would that be crazy?

Am I the only one that finds the chambray shirt and blue jeans a weird combination? I always thought that was a big fashion no-no.

I’m uncomfortable. 😕 But both my teen daughters wear this combination and think it’s just fine, so ... I don’t know. This old mom may be subbing black, gray or olive jeans on chambray shirt day.

Ok, good that's exactly what I was thinking. While ds17 probably wouldn't find it weird (if he even noticed) dh would totally laugh at my denim tuxedo (I couldn't remember what he called it when he sees it, that's it!)

Ok, I think I've got my shopping list together (yes, I should be working but this is more fun lol) Floral top: I don't really like floral much, but I kinda like this one (it's the one with the floral just at the bottom) Gingham/plaid shirt: I have a gray/white thin flannel so I may hold off and see if that works with the outfits Teal top: not sure I love teal, considering switching to army green but that might be too dull for the outfits, any suggestions for another color? Maybe I'll do a royal blue, not sure yet, maybe I'll just do the teal (this is why I'm a terrible shopper) Burgundy top: I like the amazon linked one but it's back ordered Striped shirt: the target one is in my cart Gray & olive jeans: old navy ones are in my cart Not sure about the dress, not sure I'd ever wear it, I have a couple solid knee length dresses in navy or black I could wear if I wanted to subbing army green field jacket for camel blazer still need to find a couple solid cardigans, (all mine are waist length) and the striped one subbing black vest not sure about the shoes yet, might get cheap leopard ones to try, doubt I'll get the metallic ones I have jewelry and scarves that will work for not, might get a few new pieces but no urgency there.
