The new capsule was released today. Did you get it? I was actually impressed with how much I already had in my closet. I will need to get: grey jeans, floral shirt, stripe cardigan (I have one, but it really needs to be updated), metallic shoe, and a pair of Fall statement earrings.
I am choosing to not do a dress this round, as I just wont wear it.
So how did you do with the list? Whats on your shopping list?

AH! I LOVE to shop and the hunt was actually fun for me, but I'm happy that a majority of the items I do already have.
I went ahead and bought the work wear so I'm waiting for that but I also modify the seasonal challenges to wear to work too on casual days.
I bought a maroon puffy vest at Old Navy that I had my eye on.

They offer a referral credit, so I am hoping to give cmpeter my credit by signing up with her link! She just has to share it. I can also post my link if anyone needs it.

I am very excited about the fall challenge! I do have grey jeans and black jeans on my shopping list. Not because of the challenge, but because I've been needing to update mine anyway. I already have all the other basic clothing pieces, so I think I'm going to focus on investing in comfortable shoes. Trying to find metallic ones that aren't too shiny, not sure yet about leopard print (I've never liked it buy maybe I'll cave and get the belt). I can't ever see myself wearing riding boots, but I could go for some booties in a couple different colors.

I’m excited that I was able to shop about 2/3 of this from my closet. I’m subbing dark purple for the burgundy elements and changing up a few other things.

I'd like to do this since I need to update my fall wardrobe. Where do I get more info? Julie I did the spring and summer capsules and it helped my wardrobe so much. It was fun hunting for items, and I find it so much easier to get dressed for any situation now. I never understood how fashion could be so much fun. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I have quite a few things in my closet already. Need to get a chambray shirt (not sure if this will look good on me or not though); gray jeans (been looking for about 9 months now); and several other things. I'm actually working on it now....I have LOFT, JCP, Kohls, Maurices, and Old Navy windows all open on my laptop.

I was pleasantly surprised by how many pieces I already have. Still not feeling the gingham, but saw a cute black and white plaid at Gap that might work. Need to figure out a floral top that I like too. I did pick up the scarf she is styling at Banana Republic and a striped top too. Going to sit down tonight and really look closer to see what I “need” to fill in any holes. I was kind of surprised by how many Target and Amazon items she linked this go round. It seemed a lot heavier on Loft and JCrew the past two capsules.

Might check there.

I will say - I was surprised there wasn't an army green vest/jacket. I thought for sure it would be on the list.

I’m in - first timer. May I ask why people on the FB group seem to be concerned with getting exact(ish) pieces when the whole challenge is written so generally? If you don’t like the suggested dress, buy a different one, no? Or no dress - isn’t that kind of the beauty of the challenge? My solid shirts won’t be teal and burgundy, my puffer jacket is grey and I, for one, won't be buying new shoes - no leopard, no boots, no.

I think some are so fashionably challenged that they don't trust themselves to find something to substitute and its just easier for them to purchase the exact thing that will be styled. Why no new shoes?! Shoes are fun!

I’m more afraid of bright colours. Although, i was hoping to get a red vest. Alas, the $15 grey one fro Old Navy was too good to pass up. And it’s grey so it will go with the rest of my wardrobe.

I'm intrigued by this but I gotta say the $40 price tag is holding me back a bit. Anyhow, would it be worth it for a SAHM? Or will I revert back to my comfortable jeans and an oversized hoodie?

Really most of the outfits are casual or could be made casual really easy. I like doing the challenge because if I ever *do* want to get out yoga pants, then I know I have something that will work!

I don’t see folks on the group worried about getting g the exact pieces, but wanting to get pieces that will coordinate with the pieces suggested or what’s already in their closet. You’ll see lots of subs and flips when the challenge starts.
Also...a lot of us come to the challenge fashion challenged...we need or like to follow the “recipe”. :-)

I found this problem with florals the last two challenges. Her suggestions are guaranteed to match everything, where maybe I find something that matches the burgundy, but not quite the gray.

They offer a money back guarantee for a certain period of time at the start. You can see the capsule lists w/shopping links and the first 7 outfits up front. If you don’t think it is for you, just email them and you can get a full refund. I did that with the summer one. I was on the fence, and once I saw more I decided it just wasn’t my style or worth it for that time around. Or or you might look at the SAHM casual wardrobe basics capsule... it is only $29 too. I am a SAHM too and still wear my yoga pants and comfy clothes a lot... but I loved the spring capsule and having some nice “put together” looks for when I had events to go to at school or got to go out sans kids. I was in a rut for sure and needed the inspiration for mixing colors/patterns, accessorizing, etc.
