For this challenge, you’ll still get craft related things done, but not projects. For this challenge you need to spend some time on organizing, editing photos, cleaning, tagging digital kits, putting pages in albums, etc. Things that are needed, but not necessarily the fun part. Come tell us what you’ve done. This challenge runs all month. For anyone. For the Monthly Team Challenge points you get 1 point for each one hour of work time. The time does not have to be consecutive, just keep track until your total is 60 minutes. grammadee, for challenge list

2 months ago I pulled everything out of my craft room and re-did it so dd & I could share it. I still have 2 sections of my great room piled high with junk that came from my craft room that I need to get through this month. Plus I still have some crafty supplies in my dd's bedroom that I need to incorporate. I have order a few more of those iris 12x12 hanging file totes which is what I'm putting excess paper in and it should be here this week. Plus I've just been piling stuff up on one counter to go through later all last month and the pile is now out of control. In other words, I have a lot of organizing left to do this month. I want the room to be as good as can be before we move. Since we're keeping this house, it will make picking and choosing what comes with us, so much easier.

Well since I failed for September I might as well try for October! Still trying to organize my pile of old photos. I also need to put away the pile of stuff that accumulated while I was avoiding the photos.

I also have a pile of layouts after last month that now need to be put away. It's normally part of my usual process: finish a layout, scan it if I'm sharing it here, then put it into an album. There was no time for that in Sept!

i have done nothing in this department this month. my LOs are piling up but i'm too lazy to worry about them. i also have erm several purchases i need to do something with but haven't yet. my work schedule is all wonky right now so i work 3, one day off, work 5, one day off, work 2, then 2 days off. very frustrating and hard to get much done. and i hate sacrificing my one day off to do mundane things! but eventually i'll get to it. probably by that time i'll earn myself 5 points

Oh, you ladies withe the putting layouts in albums right away! You are so wonderful. I let mine set until it takes me days to put them away. I wish I were better about this, but not so much that I'm going to change my ways.
I've cleaned up one section of counter space. I started one box by the treadmill. I'll keep plugging along over the next week when I get a chance.

I wish I were better about this, but not so much that I'm going to change my ways. oh I'm not one of those - I have temporary binders that hold layouts until I have a whole album's worth with no gaps (in theory) and then I buy an album and scan the layouts and fill the album. Since I rarely manage to work through an entire album's worth of photos consecutively....I have LOTS of partial temporary binders (and a few full ones which I'm slowly buying albums for and dealing with)

Since I rarely manage to work through an entire album's worth of photos consecutively....I have LOTS of partial temporary binders (and a few full ones which I'm slowly buying albums for and dealing with) That's an organized way to deal with layouts. I like it. Do you keep your albums chronological but don't scrap chronological? I keep chronological but don't scrap that way. I have various albums groups: dd, ds, family, dh's family/friends, my family/friends, dh & I, me, dh, and Christmas. I just put the layouts in as close to chronological as I can starting new albums when one is full. This means when I have dd layouts to put away, I may have to pull out 5 albums as there may be 5 - 6 different years. Then I have to figure out where it goes within each album and if I have room to put them in, sometimes it means a complete rearrange, sometimes just a couple of pages and when I'm lucky, I have a spot because I knew I was going to create the layout. (I typed laundry instead of layout at first. I guess I should go get my laundry finished. lol)

Do you keep your albums chronological but don't scrap chronological? Yes - chronological albums but don't scrap in any sort of order. I have family albums (I only do first year for each kid - and they are finally ALL DONE), travel albums, I've been scrapping DS's photos since he went in the Navy, and now DD's since she went off to Univ. I have a few random albums - Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, soccer, wedding etc...as well. My binders are a combination of layouts and page protectors with either loose photos or a note of what photos go there but aren't yet printed. That helps prevent all the re-arranging. I usually scan a month or two at a time (once that month is completely scrapped) and then move to albums starting with January... (so if October is completely scrapped, it's still in the binder until Jan-Sep are ALSO completely scrapped)

and when I want to scrap, I usually just pull a binder and flip through to see what I want to work on - unless I'm deliberately trying to work through a particular one or theme (like I scrapped ALL my Hallowe'en photos last month)

Okay, I am claiming ONE point for spending an hour in my craft room. Unpacked my 2 SU orders that have been sitting in their boxes all month. Cleared my desk of enough clutter and my prior project that I have a work space again. Organized my "to be put away" piles into straighter piles. Took out the trash.
So... ONE point. Oh! I should go make a signature!

Over 2 hours trying to upload pics, picked them up from Walgreens. There are a few I’ll have to redo. Plus more I forgot 🤦♀️. I have been sorting and labeling them so they’re ready to go for pages, but it can wait. I’m tired of looking at photos right now lol.

Claiming three points - spent three hours cleaning off my scrap table and organizing the stuff from my table in my two new Raskog carts. I now have a much bigger scrap area on my table and I can easily find everything!

I need to sort out my desk, I have loads of little pots of embellishments out on it and it's getting cluttered. It's driving me mad! Last month when there was a stars challenge, I kept some of those out on my desktop but there's still a dish of sequins out from months and months ago! So either I start putting some stuff away, or I make a challenge to use sequins again lol! I think I need a tidying session.

I'm claiming an hour from yesterday - downloading my camera, downloading photos from FB and FB chat, organsing all those photos...
Today I've cleaned my table (as I left it a mess on Friday) and am scanning layout from 2002 - I'll claim points when I finish.

I have 2 points for cleaning off my table and putting away purchases and going through my Christmas stash for JYC. I need to photograph two tubs of kids artwork. Now that they are adults, I'm finally going to finish their school books lol
I also have LO's that need to go into albums, but I think I'm going to need to reorganize the albums too. Quitting scrapping for 5 years and then jumping back in with both feet has got me rethinking the flow of things. I have new LO's on display on the wall, but as I switch them out I've just been piling them up while I decide what I want to do about albums.

claiming another point for sorting through my military embellishments (two drawers worth) and separating into Navy/generic and AirForce/Marines/Army - and then going through photos/memorabilia/letters from Nov 2015-Mar 2016 and sorting them into page protectors by layout (DS's boot camp and A school)

I am claiming 3 hours for organization today. I put away all my Fall papers and embellishments, Sorted through the Summer ones and chose what I want to take to the crop next week; put the rest back in the drawer. My oxide inks are now sorted and back into their tub, which is the way they travel to crops and how they could be stored in here if I ever put anything away.
And I have started the process of putting together a Christmas card making kit to take with me the week after the crop. Thinking I will keep that kit to white, blue, teal, grey & silver. Might have to put together a red, green, gold one as well. Then I can choose at the last minute which one to take... Who am I kidding? If I put together two kits, they will BOTH go with me LOL.

I started scrapbooking and then ended up organising my washi tape drawer. How does that happen?! It's tidy now at least.

So I had an offer from the photo printing place I use, for half price calendars. I decided these would be good presents for MIL and my mum. Which of course means selecting photos, editing them, arranging them, choosing the order they go in...it's been more work than I was expecting but they are now DONE and ordered. My first Christmas presents for this year!
