Hair flip!
OMG does anyone have the post on the family gathering where the hostess sent out very detailed instructions? Bring a large spoon with your HOT dishes, don't make me have to warm anything up, etc. She was so over the top that no one would want to go to the dinner.

Just to put those peas in the lower end of the 85% out of your misery, the toenail clippings is a post in a current thread that's sure to be regarded as a classic. link"Oct 17, 2018 13:03:51 GMT 11 bwife said: We host a christmas party every yr. We usually have about 30 to 40 people here and stay on the 1st level of our home. We have all wood floors now, but in general, I have found that over the years there have not been many spills at all. Usually those happen in the kitchen while people are pouring a drink. I have also found that most people will take off their shoes when they enter if they see others have also done it at the door. We usually put our shoes in our entry and a towel on the floor if it is wet out and usually people come right in and take their shoes off. The ONLY disadvantage to people not having their shoes on is someone clipped their toenails last yr and left them all under my kitchen table. GROSS!!! Hubs and I usually clean up a bit and sweep if needed before we head to bed. I was pretty grossed out when I saw what I thought was crumbs, were actually toenails! " NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! NO! Good GAWD.

Wait, has anyone called the Altoona Police yet? I mean, this thread needs to be reported. Or better yet...call their employer to see if they're Pea-ing on work time?

Yes, I think you may be right, thank you! I wish someone could remember more of the details, it's going to drive me nuts One of the two lived in the UK, the other France IIRC. Does anyone else recall anything? I finally remembered the daughter's name. It was Leigh Jane. She lived in the UK with her husband and 2 teenaged (?) kids. Fleur and her husband owned a... hotel? B&B? cafe? in France. Wow, I bow down to your recall, thank you! I don't even remember a hotel of B&B, or even that she had a husband

So anyway, is it wrong of me to expect him to help out more?? Yes, it is wrong to expect him to help out more. Instead, you should expect him to do.it.all. Suggestion: Start with Thanksgiving dinner. And then lounge on the couch with a bottle of cheap wine and narrate his efforts for us blow by blow. (See what I done did there?)

Be careful not to tall in love with your cousin the family thanksgiving meal and start getting weird ideas about what to do with the turkey baster.

With Thanksgiving coming up, please be sure to take your Ziploc containers to take home all the leftovers especially if you didn't bring anything. And don't forget to be one hour late. And don't help clean or setup. But please help yourself to all the leftovers.
