Great thread and some wonderful ideas! I am thinking of getting the Kasa smart plugs. We recently received one and use it on the lamp in the living room. You just turn it on and off with an app on your phone. It will be great when we are coming home after dark and want a light on.

These silicone piggy bowl covers have been a hit in the past. I use mine every day, multiple times a day. Silicone bowl coverI need some of those! And think my cookie making BFF would love a big one to cover the mixing bowl when she is coloring her icings...

Sorry I don’t know how to link but I just ordered cute fuzzy slipper socks from Soma for $10 each to give our girls along with their throws from Kohl’s. They come in black, ivory, pink and blue. I think they will love these gifts for cuddling up with a book or to watch a movie.

I'm not sure these would make a great stocking stuffer- if so it would be for adult children- but I ordered a pair one and I'm kinda psyched about them it. lol
eta: I thought I ordered a pair. It was only one glove. I've used it now and decided that one is actually enough. I can use one hand to scrub with and one hand to hold dishes or whatever needs to be done. I do like it though, it cleans pretty well.

I just came across these "Tea Drops" tonight. I'm a tea lover, so I'm intrigued. May have to add these to my own Christmas list! Has anyone tried them? Tea DropsI actually have tried those because I thought they were so cute, but they are all pre-sweetened and way too sugary for my taste. I think if you like your tea on the sweet side that they'd be fine.

For Hanukkah, historically I give my 28 YO son 8 gifts....several of which are typically “better” stocking stuffer type gifts. He hasn’t lived on the same coast for 10 years, and as more time goes by I’m less aware of what his likes, wants, needs are. Hanukkah is a month away <gasp> and I have absolutely nothing for him and not a single idea. Any stocking stuffer-ish ideas for a grown man that are NOT a GC? Lives in NYC. Doesn’t drive. Apartment dweller with 2 roommates. Works in a talent/agency related field logging about 55-60 hours each week (I know, I know). Has been in a comitted relationship for a year so he’s not home relaxing much. Is either at his or his sweetie’s place. Works out regularly. Very in tune with his physical health. Enjoys cooking when he has the time, but has zero room in the (teeny tiny) kitchen for gadgets. Enjoys dressing well. Likes wine tasting etc. A wine club membership would be amazing, but he has no doorman to sign for the booze, and cannot have deliveries made to work. Enjoys fine dining, theatre, concerts, and other live entertainment. No “traditional” hobbies. I’ve put a lot of thought and $$$ into giving “experiences” in the past, only to never having them be used, so I’m very much done with that. Can you tell that I’m so lost? Please help

Here are some things that I love: Gear Ties reusable twist ties - these come in a bunch of different sizes and are AWESOME for cord organization Tired of your ding dang family making off with your ding dang chargers and headphones and then saying 'oh, no, those were mine'? These Cord Collars will help you identify your stuff. Pop Socket phone gripsBrickStix reusable Lego stickers, which come in a bunch of different versions Magnetic Poetry Kits - there are probably 50 different versions of these to suit nearly anyone you can imagine Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty mini gift tins My kids love sticking googly eyes on everything. Packs of mini origami paperI love stocking stuffers!! Our "stockings" are generally overflowing and spilling out into piles on the ground. It's kind of out of control but very fun!

All WAY more than stocking stuffers but they are both minimalists and this works for us

I recently found out about these sugar-free caramels from a "best of Amazon" list and ordered them. Yikes, they are pricey, but I had to see if they were as good as everyone claimed. They are! I'm savoring them slowly. If you have someone who can't eat sugar but still enjoys sweets, they might really love these. I also love these spiral hair bands. This is the Target knockoff version of Invisibobbles and they're super affordable. What I love about these is that when you put your hair up, it spreads out the weight of your hair so it's not all pulling at your head. If you're sensitive to headaches, these are great. The downside is that they do get looser with time, but that's why it's so great that these are only $3, so I can replace them without it costing a lot. I recently bought this book holder and am really impressed with it. It's super affordable and the angle it holds your book at is adjustable and it has arms to hold the pages down. I use it for my textbooks from school so it's perfect for students or even for cooks. I also can't say good enough things about these garbage disposal cleaning tablets. Garbage disposals can get stinky and these tablets work really well and leave your kitchen smelling fresh. I've tried other tablets and they haven't been as effective as these.

I kid you not <eyeroll>. If he and his roommates ever upgrade whatever device they use to stream to the TV, they'll be out of luck.

After about a year of him being in NYC I no longer send him anything that needs to be picked up in person at UPS, the PO, or FedEx. The lines are almost always horrendous (like 30-45 minutes), plus once he gets out he has to either walk or haul whatever it is on the subway. He's got so little spare time as it is, ya know?

MichyM , my first thought was a tie or tie tack. Maybe cufflinks? money clip? bluetooth earbuds, warm scarf, donation to a charity he might support? ETA, does he read? I'm thinking if he has to commute on mass transit then something to do while he's stuck on the train.

A nice robe, cool socks, earbuds, headphones, books, a nice delivery of comfort foods or his favorite foods, a print or souvenir from a past experience he mentioned, puzzles, wine, an easy meal they could cook together, whatever sounds best. I’m a theme person so I’d pick what sounds best and use that as my starting point and center my 8 gifts loosely around that.

And the Kohl's throws are on sale today. I got them for $7.20 each. Free shipping. I also ordered the towel sets. Pretty sure they aren't a great quality, but I needed guest towels (8 sets) and I got 24 towels for $40, so I am happy. I think the white snowflake throw is new. Looks pretty. Thank you. I bought a bunch last year for our local "helpline," and just did the same again Those were a huge hit with my two last year thanks to Elaine! They use them every day....dd is wrapped in hers as I type this! Best thing I have ever gotten them.

Is he active on social media? Maybe there are some clues there about places he visits often, a hobby he has taken up that your might not know about, or businesses that he follows?

All three of my kids like ear buds as they all lose them frequently . I've bought my daughter a silicone mask applicator ( must easier to clean than a brush )and a couple of other brushes and applicator sponges and some trial sizes of her favourite products for travel .
My boys are harder but so far I've got them both a power bank for their phones .
