No early voting in NH, which I think is completely ridiculous. We will head out to vote on Tuesday.

DD and I will go together on Tuesday. Michigan has strict rules on absentee ballots and there's no early voting. I'm liking what I see from the polls. I have Tuesday off work so I will meet with DDs therapist, go get a massage and then vote. I can't wait to watch the results Tuesday night. Change is a coming! I can feel it.

I filled my ballot out on Monday and put it in the mail on Tuesday. Thank goodness for mail in ballots. I spent a couple hours researching candidates and reviewing issues and endorsements while completing my ballot. I don’t know if I could just walk in and remember who I wanted to vote for! I’ve only voted in person one time. The rest have been absentee (college and military) and then mail in (Arizona.)

Last election I wanted to vote on the day so I waited until Election Day.
My best friend voted early.
Since we hated the outcome we flipped-I voted early and she is voting on Tuesday! Lol

Voted last night! Wild and crazy Friday night 😂 I tried to go in the afternoon before I picked my kids up from school and the line was crazy... was going to be at least on hour. I overheard a poll worker saying that they had been completely caught off guard by voter turnout at that particular location this year. And voters were taking a lot of time at the machines. I told DH I was hopeful that meant people weren’t just clicking straight ticket and were actually taking the time to pick the best candidate for each position. And FTR, despite my general ill feelings towards one party I still voted a split ticket too. eta- several years ago our state did away with local, assigned precincts for voting. In exchange we got fewer locations but early voting for several days at various hours. I cannot imagine that it has done anything but increase turnout with the added flexibility. I am sure it creates additional challenges for the state and county, but appreciate the options I have. I generally vote all over the place. This year I had a difficult time doing that because I read bios and who they supported and it was easier this year. I think having voting start in the afternoon the day before Election Day might be a good idea. It would give people more time. I have had a mail in ballot for years and much prefer that.

I'm not sure what compwalla is, but my husband and I both sent in our absentee ballots in Los Angeles County, California, as did my son and ddil, and three oldest children also in Los Angeles County, California. Compwalla is the user name of a long-time pea - 15+ years - also named Virginia, who was very politically active and who passed away in this past year after a long hard fought battle with adrenal cancer. We have a monthly political activity thread dedicated to her. Thank you and your family for voting! thank you for telling me about her. Sorry she isn't here anymore. Cancer is the pits. Yes, all of us always vote. It's our civic duty!

FCPS is closed Monday and Tuesday- many of the elementary schools are polling places. Since I’ll have ds2 at home, and he isn’t able to wait in lines, I have to vote early in most general elections. I can’t wait to hear from you on Tuesday - hopefully, the polling places will be packed! Thanks everyone who has checked in so far to let us know that they have voted or will vote - it is so important this election! Go vote! Our polling place is the elementary school, but they use an extra room, so school stays open for the kids.

We have early voting and voted has soon as we could at our local election office. Two straight Democratic tickets! After our state's GOP fully embraced the politics of the WH dweller, I'll never vote for a member of the GOP at the state level again and I have in the past.

I can't vote until Tuesday. I can't wait. It's like waiting for Christmas. I just hope Wednesday isn't a big let down like the 26th. (or even more so, the last Wednesday after the election)

I voted early, last Friday 10/26. DH did at some point during that week. For once, our votes did not cancel each other's out!

DH and I both voted on 10/22. We opted to have mail-in ballots, but with so many mailed in ballots being excluded due to signatures not being exactly the same as on your voter registration we decided to take those ballots and turn them in to vote in person. My signatures vary so much from day to day with my RA, I'm pretty sure mine would look nothing like what I signed 4 years ago when we moved here. Not taking any chances!

Our early voting is typically in one location and had very long lines for days, so they opened other locations. One at a library; I thought I could return my books, check out new, and vote on Monday. Could not find a place to park. At all. Returned the books in the drop off and left. Went back Wednesday, parked (!), and waited just over an hour in line. Hopefully it’s a good sign for a strong turnout this year.

We voted on the second day of early voting and took a +1 with us, DDs first time voting DBF. When they started dating he had no interest in politics or voting, because it was all stupid and voting doesn't matter. In the last year he's been to 3 marches with us, and was the first one to have his sample ballot filled out. After we voted, he went home and talked both his parents, that only vote in presidential elections, into voting too!
I made 2 donations to campaigns outside of my state. One was to Beto, in Virginia's memory.
