Gilbert, our cat loves his can of wet food he gets at night. I think I spend more time in the pet aisle of the store picking out different flavors than on people food. You know, why should he eat the same thing two nights in a row? Lol
Piper, our crazy hound loves a good vanilla cone and has her own ruby red soft blanket to snuggle up in. She drags it up on the recliner because why should she sleep on the floor -like a dog!!!
The guinea pigs have trained us to bring romaine lettuce their way when they hear us go to the fridge. As soon as the door opens, the siren noises start. Anyone that’s owned one knows the sound I’m talking about.

Well mine gets bottled water only and expensive, grain free food..I also spring for a full day of dog day care once a week. Reading these stories makes me feel better! We love our boy.

I don’t 100% know that this is spoiling my rescued girl, but I kinda think it is. She is fearful and HATES the outdoors. I have to put her on a leash and go outside with her for every single potty break. When it’s -20, and I am bundled up, standing in the yard with her, and I see the neighbor dogs run down their deck steps and happily do their business - alone - I can’t help but remind my dog what a spoiled brat she is. Well, it is never -20 here (I'm in Texas) but this morning it was very windy and 29 with a windchill of 19 when I walked our boy (also a rescue) around the block at 6 a.m. Friends and neighbors say I'm crazy but we literally have never just opened the back door for him to go out to do his business. He is young and has a ton of energy and needs exercise, and also it's been so rainy since we brought him home that our backyard is super muddy - and it's tiny anyway. So we literally walk him every time he needs to do business. And then some. I realized yesterday that between DH and I we walk him six times a day minimum, usually seven. This morning when I came in from walking him the second time (at 9 a.m.) I wanted to turn on the fireplace for him so he would be warm and cozy while I was at work but I knew my husband (a former firefighter now in fire prevention) would NOT be ok with that. Also, my human kids (teens) are not at all surprised but a little dismayed that I have so far purchased two Christmas gifts for the dog and none for them. Edited to add - my DH is adamantly against the dog sleeping with us so he sleeps in a crate in our bedroom. The only spot for it is unfortunately near a window and I'm convinced it's a little drafty. It has gotten cold here in the last couple of days so I have started running blankets and towels through the dryer at night before he goes to bed to put them in his crate.

Maybe. When ours comes in from outside we sometimes have to carry him. He just can’t make himself walk those few steps to the door.

Sometimes with me. Mostly at his will. We have no real neighbors as we live on over 100 acres and as an Australian Shepherd who loves to run, he has a lot to patrol. Critters to chase and places to explore. I am his door person. And as if on cue, someone needs to go chase a squirrel. I have a door to open. Again.

Pia's new favorite snack is Cheerios. She prefers them straight from my bowl. Not if i lay them out for her. Plain of course no milk. Same as me! lol!) Dh says I've taught her a very bad trick! LOL! It's the only thing she does it with or would be allowed to steal lol!

Although today we had another obedience class and she was zonked out all afternoon..

I didn’t think we were doing anything to really spoil my dog until I realized I remind my son to turn down his sheets before he goes to school so the dog has an easier time crawling in his bed to nap. In all fairness he is a little dog and gets cold easily! Lol

We have a fenced yard, so the hope is that one day she may feel confident enough to go out on her own. Not likely, but there is hope, lol!

The kids like to remind me I didn’t let them play ball in the house

Senna is a spoiled baby too. We have at least 10 different kinds of treats, and she gets different ones at different times, and she knows it. I give her 3 or 4 gravy bones when I get my coffee in the morning. She has special jerky that she only gets when she has to go in the "box" (when she's going to be alone she can't be trusted), she gets a different kind of jerky and a couple bones after dinner, and I have a very specific bedtime treat routine. She gets one little beef flavored soft "bone", 3 little sausage circles and then one crunchy marrow treat. She runs upstairs, into our bedroom and then sits and waits for me to close the door and dole them out. she eats them, she gets in the bed, and goes under the covers. I spend most nights on the edge of the bed so that she is comfortable. She won't eat dry food, no matter how many different ones I've bought. I buy the refrigerated Fresh Pet, and have to switch it up between a few of them because she gets tired of the same thing after a little while. Sometimes she'll only eat it if I hand feed her. I have a cover on the backseat of my car, and a little strap that attaches to her harness on one end and clicks into the seatbelt on the other, and she always goes with me when I'm driving my daughter to/from work or picking up takeout, etc... She's curled up on the other end of the sofa in one of her many blankets. My daughter just bought her another one at a craft fair a couple weeks ago. I will get her a new one from Kohl's on Black Friday for Christmas too, hopefully they have a cute new dog one this year. I adore her.

I had to come post on here after finding the cat snoozing away all stretched out on the couch with the electric throw on high. My husband thought it was too cold, so he turned it on for her this morning. God forbid his little princess Snips gets cold.
