I just filled a dixie cup with water and held it while my pup slurped down the contents. Why should she use the full water bowl downstairs if the humans in her life are willing to answer her every need. She has us very well trained.

Yep, mine is that spoiled. Mine girl will go stand by the bathtub and wait for us to go turn the faucet on so she can have running water, instead of drinking out of her bowl.

We hold a full glass of water for the bird to get a drink.

Kitty #1 jumps on the bathroom counter (only counter she's allowed on) and gives me puppy-dog eyes until I turn the water on for her. Nevermind that she has a water fountain downstairs (not just a bowl). Kitty #2 got to lick yogurt off the tip of my index finger this morning. Just because she too gave sad puppy dog eyes MichyM = soft touch (aka sucker)

My dog has a chiropractor. I like to say it's because he's a sport/performance dog, but he's really more of a couch potato. He's also never been injured nor does he have hip dysplasia. He just enjoys a good doggie massage and adjustment

My cat takes the same medicine in the morning and evening. While he gobbles it down in the morning (specially compounded liver treats), in the evening, apparently it is not to his tastes. Sometimes he will take it if he is allowed to lay on the counter and it is torn into 4 small pieces, and put right in front of his mouth. Sometimes it has to be mixed into wet food. Sometimes I can mash it against a dry treat and he'll eat it. Every night we get to do this song and dance.
Only filtered fridge water now, of course. 13+ years - tap water was fine. Now his palette is more refined, clearly.
I write this all from my desk, with the cat laying in my arms like a baby between me and the keyboard. I work from home. More than once a week, I change which project I'm working on when he comes and lays in my arms so I don't have to move the mouse/keyboard as far and disturb him. He also has a drawer in my desk that is nicely outfitted with a cozy blanket - I pull the drawer out for him to lay in any time he comes in here. He used to love that, but for the last few months - drawer non grata.

My chocolate lab is currently wrapped up in blanket in front of the fire. No judgement here.

My Dad and his wife order special hamburgers when they grab food out for their dogs. So, if they stop by McDs for a Big Mac, they bring the pups home a cheeseburger with ketchup only.

I regularly give up my favorite fuzzy blanket because it is also my favorite dog’s favorite fuzzy blanket.

He also gets feed raw food, gets a bully stick a day and has nightly lap time with me. Where yes, he literally lays his 53 lb body in my lap while I watch TV.

Last night I admitted to my husband that the dog won. She does not like to come inside from the snow. I have to bribe her with a tiny milk bone. She knows I can't catch her and lives for the chase. I had a good run. Four out of five of my dogs have been dream dogs. Number five (female-11 months) has done me in. She is smarter/more stubborn than I am.

My Cockers, Ollie and Grady, got matching Christmas onesie jammies this weekend. I also got a matching pair. And yes there will be a Christmas family pic in front of the tree with us all sporting our onesies. Here is Ollie modeling his jammies.

My kids bought a pet cube. It's a video/audio monitor for the dog. You can also throw her treats from the app that goes with it. It's gone off twice since I started writing this. Now she hears the bell and runs over and sits and looks cutely at the camera waiting for her treats.
When the kids were visiting in October, they would throw her treats while they were upstairs in their beds.

My elderly cat ate on demand and was only eating soft food. He liked it when it was "stirred" and fresh. Sometimes he would eat for only about 30 seconds and then stop and look at us until we would stir it again. And we always would.

Only because he is old and almost blind, we've been putting our dog's food dish in his bed at feeding time. He can't seem to find it every time in it's usual location, so rather than have him barking in the middle of the kitchen for forever this works for all of us.

I had to pause part way through reading this thread to get up and put ice in my cats bowl. He only drinks bottled water and ice water. DH thought it was funny now its all he drinks.

I don’t 100% know that this is spoiling my rescued girl, but I kinda think it is. She is fearful and HATES the outdoors. I have to put her on a leash and go outside with her for every single potty break. When it’s -20, and I am bundled up, standing in the yard with her, and I see the neighbor dogs run down their deck steps and happily do their business - alone - I can’t help but remind my dog what a spoiled brat she is.

Mine won't eat his french fries without ketchup. He also prefers a dab of Heinz 57 on his ribeye. A1 just isn't his thing I guess.

This thread is why you are all my people.
I get up 30 minutes before I have to every morning to give my cats their wet food. We have 5 cats. They all have their preferences regarding consistency and container. I have to cater to each whim. One cat has to have different food then the others, and while he is eating I have to be his bodyguard. I have to make sure none of the other cats are looking at him or standing too close when he is eating. He also needs his plate rotated periodically and just has to give me a look to get me to rotate his dish. He also will eat for a few minutes in the kitchen, then he needs to move to the living room, then we migrate to the hallway, then finally we move to the bedroom to finish the breakfast. It is a process, to say the least.
We also keep a cardboard box on the couch for the cats to sit in, Super klassy, I know, but if it is on the floor one of the cats thinks it is a litter box. They take turns sitting in it.
It has also taken me an obscene amount of time to type this because I was alternately holding one cat or typing around them.

i don't think mine are spoiled but: -they get their dinner warmed for 25 seconds in the microwave. not 20, not 30, but 25 seconds. perfect warmth for them -they get warm towel face wipes after dinner -their bath towels have their names embroidered on them -they each have an Anywhere Chair from Pottery Barn if they don't feel like lounging in their beds. that makes 4 dogs beds in the den, two in the bedroom, and one in the dining room. -their grooming costs more than our hair cuts
