I had cupcakes for the kids at my DS' bday party on Friday night. One boy decided to take the bottom half off and put it on top, sort of making a sandwich. I thought that was pretty clever.
DS doesn't eat the frosting so just takes it off. However, a girl at the party ate the frosting first.
I like to break off the bottom half and eat that and then eat the top half/frosting together.
What is your style for eating a cupcake?
By the way, do not buy the Blue Snowcone flavored canned icing unless you like grape flavor since that's what it tastes like. DS had made cupcakes for his party and we had bought chocolate/vanilla frosting but for some reason, he used the Snowcone flavor instead and it was pretty bad. I then went out and bought cupcakes instead (he was on board with that idea). He said the Snowcone frosting tasted like medicine.

:PI just posted my cupcake eating style on Sharl's thread! I break off the bottom half and it eat first, too. What's left is the perfect ratio of cake to frosting.
Good to know about the snowcone frosting. I saw it and thought it looked like it could be fun! Guess not.

I eat them with a fork. If there is too much frosting then I will scrape some off first.

I break off the bottom half and smudge some of the frosting from the top onto the bottom. Then I eat the top (which now has less frosting.) That way I have two halves with the perfect amount of frosting.

I like to eat with a fork if available. George Constanza forever changed my thinking. Snicker.

Depends on the size of the cupcake. Bigger cupcakes, I will break the bottom off and eat first and then eat the top part with the frosting.

Sometimes I will eat all or par to the icing first, then I dive in. Other times I just dive right in. If the icing doesn't go all the way to the edge, I will spread it out a bit first.

You know you're old when you scrape off the frosting and leave only a smidge, I peel the paper and down the hatch.

I tear the bottom off the put the bottom on top of the frosting and *BOOM*, I gots me a cupcake sandwich with a frosting filling! Hell yes! CUPCAKE SANDWICH LOL! Never thought to do that! We had my son's 3rd birthday party Saturday, and you wouldn't believe the many different ways to eating them! My son likes to just eat the frosting off, he didn't care if it was his or not Thankfully it was all family! I just dive in. Unless it was store bought, I then would scrape off most of the frosting. For some reason I don't like some of the frosting flavors...I know I'm weird

Or, I break in half -- top and bottom. Eat the bottom first. Then the top because it's like 1:1 cake to frosting ratio. Love it.

I peel off the paper cup, break off the bottom, stick it on top, squish it down so some of the frosting squishes out, I remove the excess frosting and eat the cupcake....I'm not crazy about frosting and cupcakes always have too much on them anyway.

I try to stay away from the one's that have fallen on the ground Really? Even if only for 5 seconds (is it 5 that's the magic number and does it matter how slow you count?). I tend to break mine up on the plate (perhaps into three or four pieces) and then take bites of cake and topping together.

I break off bite size pieces in no particular order and eat them. This is my typical method for most bakery items...cupcakes, muffins, doughnuts, bagels, whatever.

Remove the wrapping, break off the bottom and discard. Then eat the top with frosting.

If I'm alone or with good friends who do the same, I lick the frosting off first. Otherwise, with a fork or I tear off the bottom, eat it, and then eat the rest.

The frosting is my favorite so I usually tear off the bottom half and eat only the top half with frosting.
