The person I'm giving to in our office Secret Santa is a brand-new employee. I just met her for the first time today (and that was just in passing) and have to give her something on Thursday. There have been no guidelines at all as far as $ limits or anything and all I got was her name, nothing about what she likes.
She's in her mid-20's and has decorated her desk with pink things. That is literally all I know about her besides her name. I'd like to spend less than $20. Any great ideas?

Do you have a speciality candy store? You could pick a bunch of different pink candies. Put them in something cute.

Do you have a target close by? I love Pilot acroball pens. If you get this set one of them is pink. (They all have pinkish foiling, and the orange one has a pink grip.) Pair it with a pretty pink notebook and a pink candle or a pink water bottle or an eos lip balm in a pink tube (I think they also have hand cream in a pink container).

If she is new to the office and area, I'd give her a gift card to a favorite local lunch spot.

What about a pink photo frame for her desk?

A pink water bottle, coffee cup, or something to drink out of at her desk? Pink ear buds. Pink gum. I’d try and go with anything pink.

Why not a little something and then a GC or promise for a lunch date after the new year. Getting to know her co-workers and someone to sit with at lunch are nice ways to welcome a new employee.

I'd go with a pink travel mug or tumbler and a Starbucks gift card.

I have those Pilot Acroball pens and they are great! I bought a set of the pink ones so DH would stop stealing them off his desk (I work at his desk when he’s not here and I was getting seriously chapped because he kept stealing my pens).
I like pink stuff too, so I think getting her more pink things would be a safe bet. Look at what she has and get her more things that are similarly styled since all pink things are not created equal.

I did peek at her desk today----pink, sparkly, and fuzzy. LOL

For ours I did a $6 pack of Starbucks peppermint mocha packets, a $4 thing of candy from the local candy store, a couple scratch offs, a thing of holiday tic tacs, and one of those little cord biter animals. Our limit was $10 but I went over slightly. I went with a pretty generic Christmas theme.

I'd get pink stuff for her desk. I wouldn't get candy, Starbucks card or something scented UNLESS you know she likes coffee, likes most candy and not allergic to fragrances. Not everyone likes sweets and/or coffee. Caffeine makes me sick so I don't drink any coffee, tea or cokes and I'm deathly allergic to fragrances. And guess what... but I love everything pink! I know it is NOT me! I've been at my job for quite a while!

I gave a little travel jewelry case as a gift and it was so well received I’ve done it several times since. I get them on amazon. Search Ellis James jewelry organizer and I got the quilted one. It’s nice quality and a good gift without being too personal. A smidge above your limit though. It does come in pink.
I see others have suggested a stainless water bottle and I found a pink Hydrapeak bottle at Homegoods for about $15-20. It’s pretty and I would be happy to get one as a gift.

A pink Swell water bottle . Not sure they have pink at Target though. The water bottles are really in with the young crowd. They are normally $19.99 but some colors are 12.79 now. A black one would work as well. www.amazon.com/dp/B01FBC346I/ref=twister_B07CZTVD2R?th=1r Honestly, you could go with any kind of stainless steel waterbottle in pink. If brand is more important then try to get her any swell one. www.amazon.com/dp/B01E9ATEN0/ref=twister_B07CZTVD2R?th=1ydroflask water bottle. It has replaced Swell in the coolness factor. Much more expensive than $20 though, more like $35. Starbuck $20 GC is always nice as well.

Get one of these Green Steel Beast tumblers in hot pink. They come in 20 oz and 30 oz, are completely dishwasher safe, keep stuff cold or warm forever. They’re 10% off right now. I love mine.

I agree with the pink pens. And maybe try to find something with glitter or some stickers or a cool notepad.

Ditto Nink re: Starbucks - I'm a coffee drinker, but I loathe Starbucks, I have given away SO many GCs from there. I like the idea of something useful for work like a notepad/pen, maybe put them in a little bucket with some candies (if she doesn't do candy, she can leave it on her desk for others)

I agree - please no Starbucks gift cards unless you know the recipient would like one. They have become the go to gift when you don't know what to give someone. I have at least 3 that I have been given and will never use.
