Epic thread, so many memories. Makes me kind of sad. My favorite Peatlejuice was a thread about the show “ I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant”, where some made some unkind remarks about a lady who had her baby on her bathroom floor alone, and instead of calling her DH who was away on business, or 911, she just cuddled and nursed him alone in the house for several days. And the lady promptly showed up and defended her decision. Great thread. Omg, I remember! I had to go watch the whole episode and what made it really strange and hilarious was that one woman thought she was just constipated! She and her husband seriously thought she was just taking a really big poop and wham! Out came a baby, right into the toilet. (Baby was fine, by the way! lol)

Was that Manda? I don't really remember the BDSM part but I vaguely remember out-of-the-traditional sexual stuff with her. And maybe she had a fiancé who was murdered? Something like that. I'm sorry; I didn't mean to post and run! I do think it was Manda, but I don't remember a murder. I think the murder preceded her time at 2Peas but that she was very traumatized and griefstricken by it.

I remember when someone got mad and kept trying to stop people from commenting on a particular thread. They would write "closed" and then changed the title to CLOSED, and finally i think "OFFICIALLY" CLOSED. Something like that, anyway. That's where the all caps OFFICIAL came from.

Holy smokes!! I've been sick for a week and haven't been on here so I spent a very looong time just now reading all 31 pages! LOL I came to the old board in 2003 and remember most of these stories. One thing I loved an miss was the We Pea Grey threads started by 1EdgePea. I'm still watching that crazy show lo, these many years later and although we've had on and off Grey's threads nothing quite like that one.
Does anyone remember Ootsgirl? She was a Canadian Pea and her husband died very suddenly and she came on and shared about that. I know Thena wrote her poem. She posted quite a bit in the gallery.

What happened to Kristina? She was a veteran who lived in Iowa and was about to retire from the federal government. I always liked reading her posts -- she was pretty normal. lol

So many toilet stories with some Peas. I am sure this is where I learned about sharting and didn't realize adults were pooping their pants!

The orange punches! I had forgotten, and remembering the thread has me giggling all over again. Oh my!
I had forgotten about sweet tiny Jamie! Or STJ. Man, we are bitchy.
How about the rooster story? Was it a metal rooster? I’m sure someone can find and post it. It’s hilarious.

I joined a few month before the old site closed. I tried to jump on a few threads and remember each time being told my opinion didn't matter. My momma didn't bring me up to believe that and I remember thinking that the board was filled with a bunch of junior high mean girls and flat out bitches. Glad I made the jump to this site. So many funny people who are very accepting to new people and even though we all don't agree, it is okay (if it isn't labeled Political). Only met one mean girl on here, but she's like that way to most people so it's all good. You guys are great entertainment.

There is an outdoor art store where my mom lives and they always have those huge roosters and EVERY TIME I see them, I think, "Knock knock mother-fucker."

I loved this series of stories. I have several of her books. One of my favorite phrases is "Knock, knock, mother f'er."

I kid you not a few weeks ago dh said out loud "I think this I should have used a poop knife." I looked at him and busted out laughing.

The one that sticks out in my memory is the lady who was in an accident (plane I believe) and had burns and then had kids. Anyways she was VERY lienent in regards to seat belts and other parenting stuff and the peas ripped on her. She had a blog and was on a tv show.
Nia maybe???

You know how the cool kids would use initials - CK, BH, HS, CTMH. When we moved into this house, the shed key was on a ring with other keys. One of which had the initials of something or somebody scrap related. It was easy to remember what that key was for. And the name popped into my head every time I used those keys. For 20+ years.

That's it. And wow is she is still surrounded by drama. I guess she is in violation of HIPPA. She followed her dr around, took photos of patients, and posted them. Got caught and deleted a ton of her blog. They left NM after selling their Provo house and rent in NC

Do you mean on the blogsnark sub, about NieNie? I used to subscribe but I stopped for a while, I’ll have to go look. Reddit also has their own poop knife mega-thread which is hilarious. I joined 2Peas in 2001 and posted off and on for years. I never posted consistently, though. On there I was “WillScrap4Food” until I deleted my account in protest of something, and then when I joined back up that name was taken, so I chose “Lumos”, but it turned out there was a Lumo who posted a lot and was popular so I got lost in the crowd, lol. I post on here on the GS board, but not as consistently as most. I think it’s the ADHD, Lol, I tend to do things in bursts. I remember almost all of the stuff talked about on these 31 pages. One thing that for some weird reason has always stuck with me is a long discussion on whether Americans wear shoes in the house and Canadians don’t. It was definitely a regional thing. Also every time I flush the toilet at work I think about the thread about foot flushing.

I am totally reading that again tomorrow. It’s been years. Yay! I not only have to read the Beyonce story periodically, but I insist on reading it aloud to my husband. "Remember this hilarious story, honey? Here, I'll read it to you." He hates having to re-hear it over and over and that just makes the story all the more funny for me. Heh heh. Good times.

Not from the old board. But I’ve spent the past few weeks cleaning and decluttering my bedroom. I have some things that will be rehomed to the attic, including a couple of boxes of cards. I spent some time reading each card and appreciating the prayers, good wishes, and kind thoughts that came with them. Next time I - or my kids - open this box, the very first thing I/they will see is an envelope from lucyg stuffed with cards from pea friends. ❤️ During a rough patch I had one of those envelopes from lucyg and desertgirl and I'll always treasure the cards. That kind of stuff is the reason I'm still here. Well, that and the entertainment.
My biggest pea regret is that I was on the board reading the night that Nursekitty hair flipped. I got tired and went to bed. Then she had her epic knitting hag hair flip I felt so ripped off that I didn't get to see it live.
When I first joined way back when I was afraid to post, because the board could be so nasty. Over the years I've developed a thicker skin and jump in with both barrels. Though I must say that I really appreciate this board. It's a much kinder place to reside.
