I am smiling reading all of these post (both good and bad memories) and realize how much I miss them My BEST (and worst) memory of the old board was the love and support we got after Kaitlyn died .. I truly felt each and everyone of you that were "with" us that horrible night .. and it is something that our family will never forget .. good bad or ugly I LOVE my 2Peas family <3 Cheri As soon as I saw your name, I saw your sweet daughter’s face in my memory! I was a lurker then and now, but I’ve always remembered Kaitlyn. Hugs!

Threads I've never even read:
Beyoncé chicken Once when I was pregnant My dog stole baby Jesus The husband making Thanksgiving dinner
I know there are more. For some reason, if a thread was already pages long before I saw it, I just never opened it. I'll read a multi page thread if I started from the beginning, but not if it's already days old. Glad I started reading this one when it was originally posted!

For some reason, if a thread was already pages long before I saw it, I just never opened it. Shoot, I'm like a moth to a flame with a multi-pager. It can have the most innocuous title and if the thread goes to three-four pages... I know I'm missing something good. Lol.

Yep. I live for the multi pagers. That is where the true entertainment is. Unless it is political- then I already know why it went off the rails.

I haven't read every page in this thread...but as I go through the tedious task of reloading my Mac after a complete erase....I'm reminded of all the Pea fonts that I had. Apple advised me to manually move everything over instead of a System Restore, and I can not seem to locate all my font files on my backup that I have migrated throughout several computers through the years. But I had quite a few with Pea names, and someone created them at peas requests. I think I had bought and/or downloaded some from the 2peas website too. I still have a ton of the 2 Peas fonts.

What happened to Kristina? She was a veteran who lived in Iowa and was about to retire from the federal government. I always liked reading her posts -- she was pretty normal. lol I'm friends with her on FB and she's doing well (I'm hoping to have lunch with her this summer if the timing works out when my daughter and I drove cross country). I know a lot of peas who don't post anymore. I think some got tired of the politics and trolls, some just didn't have time, some just drifted away, etc.

Does anyone remember someone named RedFox or something like that that said she had a baby and then posted pictures that looked suspiciously like one of those newborn very realistic looking dolls? She disappeared after that. I always wondered if she had a baby or if it was a doll.

I still think about the heartbreaking passing of Kaitlyn. I can't believe that was almost 13 years ago. I hope her family is doing well! I think the pea whose daughter had a tragic motorcycle wreck posts here? I think her dd's name is Nicole, the post above mine reminded me of her. So much sadness but she is an amazing mother. And I've always been touched by how caring and supportive the peas are in times of need. we are doing good .. we miss her daily but try to find joy in every day . Jeremy is now married, living in Tacoma WA where he is super busy with his brand new business .. (he is THIRTY .. how the hell do I have a THIRTY YEAR OLD) We are getting ready to have our annual crop (which this year is happening TWICE) and just trying to help as many kids/families as we can <3

Whew! I just got through this entire thread - what a walk down memory lane! I remember almost all of the stories/peas mentioned here. I don’t know if anyone would remember me, as I was mostly a lurker on the old board, although I was pretty active on the big brother threads for a couple of years.
After Hurricane Katrina, I was sent to work in Dallas for a few months and got to meet some peas at a crop one weekend, which was awesome. My husband was working in Louisiana, so I was in Dallas with just my boys, who were 5 and 2 at the time. NSBR was my way to de-stress after the boys were asleep.

I was always surprised Batya never made it over here. She was active almost daily on the old board but then gone. Heartcat was here on the refugees for a long time posting thrift shop finds, and then she disappeared.
One time on the smack blog I was made fun of, and I responded as myself saying I can see why you feel that way and that was the end of that. I do know Traci Claiborne was proud to post as herself on the smack blog.
AKASasha is someone I remember pretty well but don't recall why.
I had very negative feelings about the creation of the PUB board, because the entire thing was General Scrapbooking related but they didn't want to hang out with people asking basic scrap questions. They were above that. I could figure out who was going to win HOF every year by who was gushed over the year before on the pub board. I called it on Nia and I called it on Traci somebody and I called it on her friend Traci who she mentored who got it the year after she did. HOF=bullshit scam to my way of thinking. Also on the PUB board the posters would talk about people on GS like we never ever would come over to the PUB. Idiots. Many of us posted on both boards equally, and NSBR too. Then on the PUB board they decided to make their own recipe book and that was a fiasco. People ordered like several copies and their recipe never made it into the book, it got provided on a separate CD after it was discovered to have been left out. Like WTF does a recipe book have to do with getting scrapbook published.
I was published in more than a few books and magazines and no one knew me and I never mentioned it. I just amused myself by watching people fawn all over those who were published. And they did fawn over Brooklyn too. I remember that.
I always thought Kikipea here and KikiNicole were the same person. And I do miss seeing either Kerry West or Cara in TX gorgeous home photos at Christmas time. Cara you are still here so don't know if it is you. Probably Kerry West.

1. This isn't from the other board, but I thought this thread would be a good place to tell "me" and/or "me 2" that if she's reading this, I hope you're doing well !!! I remember you had been through some very difficult things. Also, I remember a thread a couple years ago where you said it hurt your feelings that people hadn't missed you or thought of you. Many of us wanted you to know that we HAD thought of you and had sent you happy vibes, prayers, hugs, etc. 2. I also loved seeing the pretty vintage outfits that Heartcat put together from all her thrift shop finds, not to mention the eclectic, pretty way she decorated her house! I've never had the knack of displaying collections or other things without them looking like a cluttery mess, so I really enjoyed her mad decorating skillz! A pea named Brekke, who was blonde, beautiful and maybe a size 12. She referred to herself as plus-sized, and lamented that she would be forever single. She worked as a nurse in the south and finally met her perfect match. I think she went on to have a baby and owns a photography business. She had such a beautiful soul -- I always knew she would find the right person, and was thankful when she did. 3. Oh yes, I remember her; she was SO sweet. I'm so happy that things turned out so well for her! [tr][td class="content"][article] I remember when some sanctimonious women started writing articles about only fat women scrapbooked. Ugh, I remember that, too! Being an overweight scrapbooker, her MEAN statement did make me realize allllllllllllll the hours I spent sitting to do my hobby / *fun* OBSESSION weren't exaaaactly the healthiest thing. But since my job required me to be on my feet up to 12 hours per day, and I exercised regularly, that helped. Back in 2000-2002, a large group of us gathered at a scrapbook store every. single. Friday. night. And just like with ANY group of 30-50 people, some were a bit overweight / very obese, but MANY were a healthy weight, too. A small few also did NOT indulge in the yummy pizza and donuts the generous store owner provided; they brought their own healthy dinner/ snacks....I wish I could say I had done that.........hee hee

Did/ does anyone know ZING QUEEN? She arranged a Two Peas dinner for all of us at Creating Keepsakes University in San Antonio, TX in either 2001 or '02? She was such a BLAST, full of energy, so friendly and creative. I loveddd her layouts! She was embarking on starting some sort of unique business related to scrapbooking, but I can't remember what it was now. Hmmm.....I need to do some googling. It was also sooo fun to meet a bunch of peas "IRL"!!! I posted a few piks of us on the old board in the gallery. I also MIGHT have posted a big group photo from our Two Peas dinner, but I'm not sure. I've often wondered if any of them are on this board. One gal I remember from CKU had a user name that had something to do with Winnie The Pooh. There were 2 other gals I hung out with a lot that were also VERY fun! They won the contest for best (hotel) door decorating. One was from Kansas, and the other, I don't remember. If you're here, scrappintoee is waving at youuuu!
