Loving this trip down memory lane! Don't forget the cookie peddling, which I didn't care about but was amused by the passion that some peas demonstrated against it.

Yakiscrappy was cherryeye. Thank you. I kept wanting to call her Yankee girl, but that was someone else. Do I recall correctly that she was either related to/good friends with some of the PNW members? LOL, uhh... yeah. She’s my SIL.

Not necessarily talking about the big drama threads, just random little things that made you smile.
I was a lurker for as long as I can remember. Posted a little bit in the early days, but got scared off one day by someone named seanna and reverted to lurking mode . Anyway, I do remember lots of odd bits and pieces from those days, and one of the things that popped into my mind was that pea that determined what everyone tasted like. Remember that? It was cute. People would have at the bottom of their posts 'tastes like a chocolate brownie with raspberry frosting and crushed almond bits on top' or 'tastes like a martini" or stuff like that. That was fun My daughter has synesthesia. This is totally something she would do. Apparently mine was haagen dazs vanilla swiss almond. Fun times.

When I first moved to the States my parents moved us to Yakima & I always watched for your posts because of the connection. My dads family still lives in Yakima & I visit there a few times a year. It is truly one of my favorite places to be! delila

I remember that someone created a nasty board that was used to roast the peas. They mocked everyone! I can't remember what it was called. I posted it in my post on page 3 here. It was referred to as "THE blog". Can't remember the actual name, but, gosh, that was a harsh, harsh place!!!!!!!!!! I only visited a few times. It was rumored that a few of those mean Peas were the ones who created it just to bash everyone even more.

I too remember Kerri West & her beautiful home. She lives here in Texas close by me & she was blasted for having such a nice home. I learned from that post that I would never tell y’all about my newly built home because I didn’t want to be blasted like she was. I also remember Nurse Kitty & all the great hair flips Two Peas had! delila I remember her DH was in the oil business and she had a DD who was a cheerleader. I remember her posting photos from her DD’s wedding. I remember in her signature she had the quote “I don’t skinny dip, I chunky dunk”. I loved that and still use it. I also remember her amazing house.

I loved the Star Wars crop threads. That chick that was super in love with Hayden Christensen and hijacked my Star Wars thread and turned it into an eleventy million page Hayden Lovefest. I was several of the Star Wars alters, including Darth Layout, Luke Skycropper, Han Kolo and Gluebacca. I don't remember the Hayden Christensen stuff, but it probably annoyed me, because he's annoying and part of the lame Star Wars movies.

Does anyone remember a post about Baby Jesus -- or was it angels? -- hanging up on a bulletin board? And then someone put that as their tagline? Oh! Cara in TX used it. She's not here anymore, is she? I wonder what happened to her. Lisa I saw her post last month on Babycenter. (She had a slightly different username, but I recognized her Charlie Brown Christmas decorations.) I said hi, that I recognized them from the Pod, and gave her my username here so she’d know who I was. (I have a different username there!)

Oh wow, that was Rainbow? I was thinking of someone else that had ADD in her username. I thought it was a cat and ADDhousewife. Not Rainbow. I’m pretty sure it was ADD because I remember it happened while she was on vacation and she posted about if she should come home early to tend to the cat..she didn’t come home..cat was dead and she tossed him in trash. Peas declared war on her (I can’t blame them to be honest). She also didn’t flush when she and her family peed to save on the water bill. Nope, I think you're combining two stories into one. Pretty sure the dog was Rainbow and the cat was ADDHousewife but I believe it was sick and they didn't come home to take care of the cat.

I miss all the different threads. This board seems so slow compared to the old days.
Another thing that blows my mind is how people can keep track of who said what on which thread. Spreadsheets have been joked about but I can't remember much.

I remember childofgrace talking about ironing her underwear. I hope she’s doing alright and not obsessively checking the old board for it to work again. OMG I so miss her. From the classic thread seeking advice from "toilet paper peas" (as if there might be some of us who are like, "TP? No bruh, I'm good") to the fifty threads seeking advice on decorating her second mountain home to the multiple decluttering threads countered by just as many food prep/stash hoarding threads, to the ones about ironing the crotch of thrift store underwear to kill any bugs, she was my favorite pea. Breathing...in and out, or out and in? How to unclog the sink in my mountain home? How many rolls of toilet paper should I keep in my mountain home? How big is your toilet paper stash? How can I declutter?

I came over from Scrapjazz, too, when I started working for a scrapbook manufacturer, and since I was in customer service, I needed to keep up with what was going on over there, mainly on the GSB, but I wandered over to the "dark side". LOL
I do remember many things posted here. Some hilarious, others just downright mean, and disgusting. I did enjoy reading some of the drama, though.
I got hand slapped twice that I remember. Once was a post about indoor/outdoor dogs (I think), and the other was when I posted about the loss of my MIL. We had just lost her, and the Dr.s thought she might have had sleep apnea. She was obese, and I mentioned something about talking to loved ones about being tested for it if they were overweight. I'm not sure how I worded it, but I got slammed for even having the idea that someone else's loved one could possibly have the same issue, and that not everyone that is obese needs to be tested. Ok, fine. It was just a PSA from personal experience. No need to take it so personal, and knock the breath out of someone who just lost someone.
Someone also pointed it out to me that someone talked nasty about me on the SMACK board. If your life is so bad, or self esteem is so low to be so nasty to people you don't even know, you have a sad, sad existence.

I was a lurker there, and still lurk here!
This is hilarious, I'm surprised at how many memories I have as a lurker.
I remember there was a group of ladies that had a private (LOL) conversation on the board, titled with their initials (ADJKM?!?!), but then they got pissed when someone commented on it.

This has been such a fun thread! Thanks for starting it, OP. I am enjoying the trip down memory lane.
I just thought of another story. The pea whose children were found outside wandering around at night, and it was all over the news? Who was that?
I also often wonder about the pea who adopted a couple of kids from a terrible home, and one or two of them had severe behavior disorders that worsened as they got older. Does that ring a bell? She was very active on the old site.

Well now I’m disappointed in all of you. Why has no one brought up the famous, What’s Your Favorite Smell thread?
That may be my absolute favorite from the old board. Reading along, getting answers like, Lavender, Pumpkin Spice, My DH’s Ballsack.
Seriously, I did laugh my ass off on that one. Can’t remember who the poster was, but she came back and even explained it all, I loved it! More than a little TMI, but she sure loved them balls.

Didn’t she also start a bunch of threads about how to lose a lot of weight and eventually she mentioned that she had 10lbs to lose?!

I can't recall the exact name of the pea whose children were found wandering on a railroad track but Lyndsey and Dave comes to mind for some reason. And I remember the other person you refer to but her name doesn't come to mind. I do remember her posting a lot about her adopted daughter's behaviour and I recall that her daughter was a blonde.

It was called the Smack Blog and it was allegedly created by a pea named Beth who died. WHHHHAAAAATTTTT? Really, Beth? The Beth who died of cancer? That's what I heard, too. Some pea, or someone who knew Beth posted a fundraiser for her family. I donated, and was absolutely disgusted when I heard she was the one who started it. I THOUGHT she was a really nice person.

Who was the Pea who could make a poem for you out of anything? She was so talented. I miss Pea Soup. I saved a quote from a sympathy card that was beautiful, and now I can't remember it. I think this was Thena? I met her once and she was the sweetest lady. I often think of her and the book of poems she published. I was a lurker on GS back then, so I only remember some of these stories. The one that kind of stuck with me was the weird one where her neighbor had mirrors all over their yard? It was so darn creepy and I don't remember ever hearing an update. I mostly remember the scrapping related ones like tear bears and I'm sure everyone remember the vagina layout. Then all the big CK Hall of Fame in those last years where just too good to not follow! Man, there was some major divas those days.

It was too cute! I also remember peas posting threads with just a period (Or something like that) in the thread title making it really hard to get into, and it was usually just a thread of random posts. It was weird. Sometimes, they would post just a single letter, or a song title, and peas would post random things that started with that letter, or finish the song a few words at a time. Anyone else remember that, or is my horrible memory making things up?
