As for the Melania thing, it almost sounds too crazy to even speculate on but some things are different in that video, I've never noticed her touching her hair so often...and usually women who touch their hair a lot have some form of fake hair (wig or extensions) and she keeps touching that one side more, which would make sense if she is secret service and has an earpiece in. Plus what is up with those long sleeves poking out from under the jacket? Nothing in that video seems to be consistent with her usual manner and style.

This from trump shows one just how insecure trump is yet again.
”At a recent round table meeting of business executives, & long after formally introducing Tim Cook of Apple, I quickly referred to Tim + Apple as Tim/Apple as an easy way to save time & words. The Fake News was disparagingly all over this, & it became yet another bad Trump story!”

During a fundraiser where Trump ranted about Democrats hating Jews and made jokes about blackface, the president also announced that he actually said “Tim Cook Apple.” The president explained he said the name really quickly and said “Cook” very quietly, so no one could hear it, Axios reported. ”At a recent round table meeting of business executives, & long after formally introducing Tim Cook of Apple, I quickly referred to Tim + Apple as Tim/Apple as an easy way to save time & words. The Fake News was disparagingly all over this, & it became yet another bad Trump story!” NO, just another LIE!! He LIES about his LIES!!

You get a straight-on shot of her face a couple times in the video, and this woman is not even CLOSE to looking like Melania!! eta: I'm lol'ing at some of the #FakeMelania tweets... "Well, there have to be at least 5 versions of Melania, because we know it goes as far up as MelaniE. This could also be MelaniB, MeleniC, or MelaniD."

”Republican Senators have a very easy vote this week. It is about Border Security and the Wall (stopping Crime, Drugs etc.), not Constitutionality and Precedent. It is an 80% positive issue. The Dems are 100% United, as usual, on a 20% issue, Open Borders and Crime. Get tough R’s!”
No it’s not about border security, but what constitutes a genuine national emergency.

On a different note, I just caught a brief clip from the CNN town hall with Pete Buttigieg when asked if a Pence presidency would be better than Trump. His facial response is priceless, but his answer was fantastic as well. It was one of those weird pop up video clips, so not sure how to link it here, but it is near the top of their homepage this morning and I would encourage you to go take a quick listen to his answer. If by some miracle DT stepped aside in 2020, or even if he got re-elected and Pence became heir apparent in 2024, this is something Democrats need to remind people of often. Buttigieg just climbs higher and higher on my list of candidates for the nomination every time I see him. Refreshing, knowledgable and articulate. DH was channel surfing yesterday afternoon and I told him to stop when he hit CNN because Pete was on and he's now a fan. His answer on whether Trump should be impeached is also excellent.

"Fake Melania" is news here as well. I read an article where it was mentioned that the "fake version" is probably Secret Service. It had some pictures of Melania and her agent and they do look alike.
I wonder why they would do this. Is there some more credible threats against Trump and they step up the protection? I would assume it is for security, not because Melania had a bad day. 🙄

That reminds me of the Cat in the Hat with little Cat A, Little Cat B,etc. Especially since each cat is smaller then the next and this pretend Melania appears to be shorter then the “real” Melania.
I do wonder if it was a fake Melania (which I still can’t really believe), why? And why would it be a secret service person? I know people are crackers, but I don’t believe that if there was a credible threat on her or his life Trump would dare step out on public without being utterly surrounded by people with guns and bullet proof vests. He is such a coward he would probably be sporting some sort of Kevlar suit and have his head wrapped in it as well.

More new budget stuff: His wall at any cost! President Trump on Monday called for cutting spending at the National Science Foundation (NSF), the government's top funder of nonmedical research, by 9 percent. The White House's fiscal 2020 budget proposal recommends slashing NSF funds by $700 million, on par with a wider 9 percent cut to annual nondiscretionary funding. The NSF provides about one-quarter of all federal research grants and covers fields such as engineering, mathematics, computer science and social sciences. It also funds the purchase of large-scale scientific equipment. According to the NSF website, foundation-funded researchers have gone on to win 236 Nobel Prizes. Trump's overall budget proposal also calls for dramatically reducing funding for education, agriculture, health programs, transportation and the State Department.** thehill.com/homenews/administration/433507-trump-proposes-cutting-national-science-foundation-budget-by-almostNow I know why!! They won;t give him a Noble Prize so no one else should strive for one from the USA and no help!

NPR..
”JUST IN: President Trump’s budget proposal for 2020 calls for a 4.9 percent increase in defense spending, and a 7.4 percent increase in DHS funding.
It also calls for decreases in funding for other departments: EPA down 31.2% State down 23.3% USDA down 14.8% HHS down 11.9%”
USDA...
”The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is a cabinet-level agency that oversees the American farming industry. USDA duties range from helping farmers with price support subsidies, to inspecting food to ensure the safety of the American public. The department seeks to expand overseas markets for U.S. agricultural products and support international economic development; provide financing needed to create jobs; improve housing, utilities and infrastructure in rural America; and improve nutrition and health by providing food assistance and education. USDA farm subsidies have been the subject of much controversy for decades as critics say the assistance is distributed unevenly and manipulates the agricultural market. The department has also come under scrutiny for its failure to adequately protect American consumers from tainted foods that are not processed properly at slaughterhouses and other facilities. The current Secretary of Agriculture is Tom Vilsack.”
Granted trump’s budget is not going anywhere, but it sure gives you an idea of what is and is not important to him.
Elections do have consequences.

An opinion piece from the WSJ...
“The Unforced Error of Medicare for All”
“Prominent Democrats falling over themselves to support Medicare for All are making a big mistake. For a party seeking to rebrand itself—especially in places like my native Ohio, where health crises abound—this scenario is a GOP dream. It’s easy to demand universal health care, but as efforts dating back to FDR have shown, legislative victories are a slow burn. Megaphones on social media won’t change that.
Recent polling from the Kaiser Family Foundation shows that although voters like the concept of Medicare for All, net favorability falls by almost 50 points when they are presented with hard truths such as the higher taxes, less provider choice, and increased wait times that will inevitably result.
Meanwhile, there are immediate problems that need addressing. A recent study from the Commonwealth Fund found that nearly 45% of working-age adults were underinsured or without coverage during at least part of 2018. Department of Health and Human Services estimates that premiums for an entry-level silver plan on Healthcare.gov will average $495 a month for a 40-year-old.
Back home in Toledo over the holidays, I heard countless variations on these themes. One couple in their early 60s told me both had to return to work part-time as teachers to afford better health insurance. A former nurse at a federally funded community health center had a harsh assessment of Medicare for All: “The politicians that favor this policy know it won’t work and yet still pursue it blindly; it is obvious that nothing will change in time for us.”
Which is why as 2020 approaches, Democrats should avoid ideological peer pressure and embrace Sen. Sherrod Brown’s model of advocating what’s possible: strengthening insurance exchanges through cost-sharing federal subsidies and reinsurance programs for high-risk enrollees, pushing for nationwide adoption of Medicaid expansion (and resisting GOP rollback efforts in states like Ohio that have done so), and making people over 50 eligible to buy in to Medicare, as legislation sponsored by Sens. Brown and Debbie Stabenow would do.
Fellow Democrats may accuse me of seeking compromise when they are craving revolution. I am a public health physician and Air Force officer and, like many of my colleagues, as welcoming to the idea of Medicare for All as the most progressive politicians. Unlike them, however, it is left to us and our patients to contend with the consequences of inaction. Stop the empty rhetoric and pursue attainable paths in the immediate interest of our patients’ lives and their pocketbooks.
Dr. Gupta is an assistant professor of global health at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. He served as a health policy adviser to Richard Cordray, Ohio’s 2018 Democratic nominee for governor.

”I was the first & only potential GOP candidate to state there will be no cuts to Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. Huckabee copied me.”
trump today...
Joe Kennedy III
“Candidate Trump promised not to cut your Medicare or Medicaid. President Trump just proposed over $1,000,000,000,000 in cuts to Medicare & Medicaid.”
Now this is trump, but the reality is, if they thought could get away with it, this would be the position of the rank and file Republicans in Congress.

GOP...”Democratic party is no longer the party of JFK.” -@erictrump”
Prompted this reply from Joe Kennedy III...
”If by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions..."
”Someone who cares about the welfare of the people-their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights and their civil liberties-someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad..."
”If that is what they mean by a "Liberal", then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy, September 14, 1960.”

It’s a boredom thing and a habit I’m trying to break unsuccessfully. 2 I don’t care too much if they have a fake Melania as long as no laws are broken or something sinister like that is his Russian handler lol ( conspiracy theory alert, that is my favorite fake Melania conspiracy theory - not saying I believe it just that I was entertained by it ) If it’s just because she doesn’t want to go to stuff - fine - whatever - but since he could easily bring Ivanka instead I don’t understand why, but as long as it’s not breakingblaws I don’t care 3 the chin & cheek/jowl area in that picture is shaped differently than what Melania regularly looks like. That picture the chin has a small indent almost & the jowl/ cheek area is puffy. If that is her I feel bad for her as her face is bloated and that can’t be comfortable. But all in all I have bigger things to bitch about with trump .
