Will this catch on?
He says women wear a pant suit and no one bats an eye--but a man in a dress creates a disturbance in the forces.

He is flawless.
I’m a huge fan.
I am all for men on the red carpet being less boring.
Spike Lee, on the other hand, looked like Stan Shupike 🤣

The suit with the cape is fecking fabulous but I'm undecided about the tuxedo gown, the skirt could have been better imo.

No, it won't "catch on" the majority of men will never want to wear anything like this...imagine trying to pee at a urinal with that on? But for the men who do want to wear it...I don't have any issue with it. They should wear whatever makes them feel/look good.
I think he looks great and he obviously looks after himself very well and is well groomed etc. however most men aren't going to be able to wear it as well as he does.

It’s gorgeous. Christian Siriano did a fab job. I would wear that gown in a hot second. He looked great in it.
People should wear whatever they are comfortable in that fits the event. If you want to wear a dress, have at it. If you want to wear a suit, cool do that. If you want to wear fancy panties, we’ll maybe not to the Oscars, as it’s a black tie event (unless you’re Pharrell).
I do not love men in dresses, so this is not something I’m hoping to see more of. I’m sorry. Don’t hate me. But I am hoping for more inclusiveness and welcomeness, where those who want to wear a dress feel free and happy to do so.

I loved it. I am a fan of Christian Sirano (spelling?). I would love to see a gown like this on a woman too.
Men and women should be able to wear whatever they want.

Not really a fan.. but whatever..When a woman dresses up like in a tux looking dress or pantsuit usually I don't like that either.. but I am far from what the styles are.. lol

...imagine trying to pee at a urinal with that on? imagine trying to pee in a gown like that at all, regardless of gender! I could not handle dressing like that, with my pea-sized bladder, so it's a good thing red-carpet appearances are not in my future, lol. I don't particularly like the gown; it looks way too constrictive to me. The cape is dramatic without being too constrictive to wear. eta: thinking philosophically, or perhaps historically... men's and women's fashions have changed a lot over the years (and by years I mean centuries)-- men used to wear tight breeches, stockings, and high heels (think Mozart's time). In ancient Rome and Greece, men and women used to both wear what would nowadays be seen as a 'gown' and men in middle eastern countries wear robes today, so... I guess what I'm saying is that it seems more of a Western societal norm that men wear pants only, but those kinds of rules seem so arbitrary.

I have no idea, or strong opinion, except that the dress was clearly meant to be for Diane Keaton to wear and she would have looked amazing in it.

I like it! Why not have some fancy dress on men? Think back to the 18th century when men wore all the same frippery that women did.

I think both the dress and the cape are fabulous!! I have no idea who he is, but he appears to have the type of personality to pull it off. I love it!

Hoping this will have a trickle down effect and we see more men in kilts around. Oh la la yes please! At the tender age of 19, many years ago, when I went Scotland I expected to see many sexy men with kilts and Gerard Butler accents everywhere. I was disappointed. Still love Scotland though!! 😂

I love it and think he looked fabulous. I also appreciate that he is trying to make people think about the connection between attire and gender. I have a daughter who disdains traditional feminine attire and gets tired of people making assumptions of what girls and boys should dress like.

I absolutely love it and promptly showed it to dh in another unsuccessful effort to get the man in a utility kilt.
I hope it does start a kilt craze. I think they are tremendously hot.
