DD1, 35, is a stay at home mom with 2 kids. She has a masters in early childhood education and is following in my footsteps - I stayed at home until the youngest went to kindergarten.
DS, 34, has a PhD in biology and works in a lab for a large company.
DD2, 29, has a masters in Linguistics and is a project manager for a company that phonetically codes different languages for voice recognition systems.
I'm pretty proud of all 3 of them.

My eldest is struggling a bit. Has a college degree that is useless and works the front desk of a hotel. Part of her struggle is the bad choices that she's made for years. I counsel and advise, but as an adult, it's up to her to digest what I tell her. My younger DD was a first year teacher this year. She was hired for kindergarten but within weeks of the start of the school year, was moved to 5th grade IRR. She just got word yesterday that she will be back in kindergarten next year. I'm so happy for her. My youngest is wrapping up his sophomore year of college but already has two years of in-classroom experience under his belt.

My 23 year old DD just graduated truck driving school and already has a job. She will be driving a tanker cross country. My 21 year old DD works for a radio station in Charlotte NC doing social media. She goes to alot of events with the Carolina panters and the Hornets. My 19 year works at a juice bar while she figures it out. They are not in my house, so as long as they are happy we are fine with it.

My older son, 27, is a high school special education teacher.
My younger son, 25, is a certified recreation therapist at a maximum security California State Prison.
Neither plans to stay where they are. DS1 is working on a masters and wants to work with elementary education in administration. DS2 wants to work with children with disabilities again and move around to other places.

After dropping out of a pretty prestigious college after one semester my daughter has worked at a nursing home and 4 different factories in under a year. Currently she’s awaiting trial for being at a party where drugs were present and she did some. I’m saying all of this as a cautionary tale. She had it all figured out and I was the dumb mo that didn’t know how the real world works. Welcome to real world child of mine. ETA she doesn’t actually believe anything will come of her charges and she doesn’t think she did anything wrong. My husband and I we’re there the day of the aftermath and she was blitzed. She should have been arrested that day. She thinks because she wasn’t that nothing is going to happen. She also hasn’t retained a lawyer and was rejected for a pauper defense. So as a mother I’m just standing back and letting her deal with the consequences of her actions. Maybe that makes me a bad person and mother but I feel like I can’t save her from herself. Only she can do that.

DD28 is the manager and social media director for a local game card store (that happens to have one of the largest inventories in the country). Game cards = Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, etc. They also have a gaming area and put on tournaments. She also does freelance graphic art (so all that gaming art schooling wasn't a total waste lol). DS26 is currently helping out at a local immersive event venue and music studio. They have live music and things like immersive Smash tournaments. He's also working on his running and swimming to go into the USAF (he already nuked the ASFAB, just getting his times down on things).
While I'm sure their dad is rattling in his urn over the music, art and gaming paths they have taken, he's probably also proud they are doing things they love. He was a musician, artist and gamer so they didn't fall far from that tree lol!

She also hasn’t retained a lawyer and was rejected for a pauper defense. Both of my kids have been before the courts. I paid big bucks money for an attorney for one, the other didn't tell me until after he had retained his own, crappy lawyer that he could afford. I would have put out whatever was needed to get the cases dismissed. I hate that the current court system requires high priced attorneys. I feel if one that is paid $2000 can get charges dismissed, then the charges should be dismissed with a $500 attorney or no attorney. Some things stay with a person forever and looking back on things I did, I would have never achieved anything if I had convictions.

DD1 is a hair stylist. DD2 is a speech therapist for children under 3. DD3 is a manager at Texas Roadhouse. She graduated from uni two years ago but doesn’t know what she wants to be when she grows up. Well I remember that she wants to be an enestethis (sorry for spelling) but it’s in the field of cosmetology but for the skin.
They all take care of themselves very well. I’m a proud mama.

My almost 18 year old son graduates high school this June and auditioned for a 4 year musical performance program at the Universiry. While his audition was fantastic and they loved him, he has decided to return to high school for a "grade13" year and up his marks in music theory and English in order for him to get ahead when he does go to University. I'm very proud of him. He struggled in elementary school so much and has really come a long way both socially and educationally.
He wants to play on Broadway one day and I think he just may do it!
My 10 yr old DD wants to be in Law Enforcement Either a police officer (with a dog partner lol) or in a prison.

DS is a Senior Consultant II in the Outsourced Finance & Accounting division of his company. He has been promoted in December of the last two years. His kindergarten teacher told us he would do something with numbers and she was correct. ETA: He worked all through college, lived at home until he was 30 and saved all his money to buy a townhouse in the Bay Area. It's pretty much the only way a young person can afford to buy a place on their own in that area. We're amazed that he can do it without having a roommate to pay half of the mortgage. We're very proud of him.

DS1 is a chemical engineer as is his wife. DD 1 is an optometrist with her own business. DD2 is a speech pathologist with a secondary masters degree in occupational therapy DS2 is just finishing his degree in electrical engineering and has a job lined up with our state electric company where he will be a lineman. He does not want a desk job and prefers being outside so this is a perfect fit for him. I’m looking forward to having all four kids off my payroll for the first time in close to 40 years.

Well since I shelled out 7 grand for that fancy college tuition, I ain’t paying for a lawyer. I have it but I’m not doing it. Plus the judge told her there was no way she was getting only probation out if it. I’m sure it was meant to scare her. I’ve told her to call lawyers and see whT they’ll charge to take her case and would they take payments but she’s got her head up her ass thinking nothing will happen if she pretends to not notice so I’m not helping. Want to do stupid shit? Ok. Want to not take moms advice? No problem. Figure it out then cause I’ve given her pretty good advice the first of which was call a lawyer.
