I've been driving for 29 years and have had 8 cars. I didn't count my husband's car in there, but we shared it for quite a while after my Explorer was totaled. I don't work, his job/schedule was really flexible and we found we weren't rushing to replace it, so we decided to wait until it was paid off and then I'd buy something I wanted. We like only having 1 car payment. Subaru Justy Chevy Cavalier (beater) Hyundai Elantra Hyundai Sonata Hyundai Elantra Dodge Grand Caravan Ford Explorer Sport (less than a year) Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Not many. I have been driving almost 40 years and have had 6 - 4 new, 1 used, and 1 from my parents. When I started driving at 16 I used my parents' old 74 Malibu. Purchased a used 79 Chevette. Drove that until I graduated college and got my 1st job. Since then I have only purchase new vehicles. 88 Chevy Nova 98 ford Escort 07 Mazda 3 16 Subaru Forester ETA - I still have/use the license Plate from the 79 Chevette.

I’ve been driving for 40 years (my parents bought the first 2)
75 Monte Carlo 78 Maverick 86 LeBaron Coupe 96 Stratus 00 Town & Country 04 Expedition 11 Odyssey
The Maverick died while I was in college, I know my parents gave me a car to drive until I graduated, got a job & bought the LeBaron, but I can’t remember what it was. The last 4 were bought new. The list doesn’t include DH’s or the kids’ cars. We are getting ready to trade in the Odyssey, but I have no idea what I want!

Hmm, not sure. Not even sure of the order in which we owned them.
Mazda GLC MIL’s former ratty old station wagon Toyota Tercel #1 Toyota Tercel #2 Chevy Astrovan (which I only drove for about a week, I hated that thing) Pontiac Fiero (was sold as soon as we realized what a crappy winter vehicle it was) Chevy Cavalier Chevy Malibu Ford Escape #1 Ford Escape #2 (which is my current vehicle)
After DH bought the Malibu, I vowed that he would never pick out another vehicle that I would primarily drive. While it wasn’t the most horrible car in the world, certain things about it drove me nuts. The facts that there was nowhere to put my purse, the back seats didn’t fold down flat, it guzzled gas and there weren’t enough drink holders all of which made me not a fan.
If I could choose any vehicle to own and money wasn’t a factor, I would probably pick a Honda Pilot. My friend had a couple of them and they are great. Tons of cargo room for hauling stuff, lots of spots for beverages, a nice spot for a purse up front. Just overall a really awesome vehicle.

Not many considering how old I am. These are the cars that were in my name that I drove, not counting DH's cars:
82 Chevy Celebrity 84 Chevy Celebrity 95 Chevy Cavalier 01 Mitsubishi Eclipse 05 Chrysler 300 18 Chrysler 300S
I guess I must be brand loyal. I didn't really intend to get another 300 but it test drove so nicely after the other cars, it sold itself. Makes my commute so much more pleasant. The Eclipse I kept until my DD started driving, then gave it to her in 2010. So from 2007 when I got the first 300 until 2010, I had two cars and just drove whatever one I felt like driving. It is still alive, owned by her ex-BF who is a mechanic. I loved that little car! But I also loved the (comparative) luxury of that 300.
DH has mostly had SUVs.

I've been driving for 31 years and I'm on car #6 which was my first new car in 2003. It's over 16 years old now and showing its age, bless it. I dread the time when it will need replacing because now they don't make them like they used to. Cars are getting bigger, and I'm not getting any taller.

I’m talking about cars you claimed as yours and drive on a regular basis. That would be three.

Four in about 25 years. The three prior each got up to 200k miles before retirement. I hope my current one will last that long but it's already on its second recall.

Driving since 1984 and I’ve had 22 or 23...I’ve lost count. My husband works for a car company so I get a new one every year through company leases.

A horizon Bonneville Malibu Mini van Toyota Madza
I am currently thinking about a new car for me and having my current car become the teenager's car. I cannot decide if I want another Toyota or a Subaru. DH wants a Subaru.

In 50 years we've had 22 cars and 2 Harley choppers. All except four of them were custom cars, chopped, channeled, lowered, suicide doors, custom paint etc. We sold one of the choppers and used the money for a down payment on the house I live in now. We still have five cars.

I’ve been driving (legally) since I was 16. I’m 54 now. I’ve had A LOT of cars. My list as follows: 1972 Mazda. Bought used sometime in ‘81. 1975 Chevy Monte Carlo. It was my grandpa’s car. 1983 Ford Mustang hatchback. Used. 1986 Nissan mini truck. Bought brand new. Was totaled in 1989. 1989 Mitsubishi Eclipse. New. 1992 I bought a used extra cab Chevy Dually. Not sure of the year. 1993 Chevy Suburban. Bought used. 1994 Chevy Crew Cab Dually used. Thing was a beast and drove like buttah!! 1996ish bought a used Suburban. Not sure what year. I bought two more Suburbans after that. The last Suburban I had. I bought brand new and I had that car the longest. 2013 Chevy Camaro 2SS 1 LE. New I ❤️ this car. Bought it brand new and it’s a rocket. It has a deep, throaty exhaust and although it seats 4 people, it can only accommodate 2 comfortably, in my opinion. I have been going back and forth about trading it in only to get a Chevy Tahoe because I have a 1 yr old granddaughter and I don’t like taking her in my car. I don’t feel safe with her in the back. If I make it til July, it’ll be exactly 6 years I’ve had it. It has 36,000 miles on it. And my dd is pregnant and due in May with her 2nd child.

I'm so impressed that so many of you know the make and model and year of your cars. I describe my cars so, remember the silver one, not the first silver one, the second. I would have to go outside to my current car to read off the make and model but hey, I know it's white! I have a picture of the reg in my phone when I need to pay for parking.
I have no idea the number of cars I have had, quite a few over the years, we only keep them for three possibly four years then change.

I’m on my 4th.
First was a 70’s Buick, then a 94 Buick, then a 2000 Intrepid, now a 2012 Charger.
I’ve been driving for 27 years. All of my cars had no less than 200k miles when I gave them up. I drive about 20k miles a year!

OMG I don't even know if I can remember them all.. I have been driving since 1984:
I am not including my parents cars. Just the ones I have owned.
1981(ish?) Chevy Citation 1983 Ford Mustang convertible 198x Honda Accord or Civic 1960ish old BIG red car.. I don't even know what it was.. It was BIG and ugly. Those were the ones I owned by myself. Moved in with DH and we had: 199x Toyota pickup 197x Datsun 240Z (cute little bugger) 1989ish Ford Escort 199xish Geo Metro 199xish Jeep 199x Dodge Ram 199x Ford Thunderbird 200x Ford MiniVan .. Windstar? I think was the name 200x Ford Expedition 2000 Ford Ranger 198x Ford Bronco 198x Land Rover 198x Ford Bronco (again) 199x Honda Accord 20xx Honda Element (LOVED LOVED LOVED) 199x Honda Civic 200x Honda Accord 2013 Hyundai Azera (current)
I am sure there are a few more in there I can't remember.. LOL.. DH used to work/tinker on cars/motorcycles so a lot of those were cheap and he worked on. Some were brand new. Some we got rid of because of the high gas mileage (when the prices were going through the roof, the Expedition) Some when we were lugging around kids. Currently we have the Hyundai and that is it. One car.
Edited: I took the Harley off.. that was DH.. the rest are between both of us and I drove all of them regularly
