That. I want an answer from Republicans about why it is ok for trumps children and other associates to do the same fucking thing that Hillary did. Why are we going to do more investigations about her for this horribly egregious break in protocol but Trumps people ok to do the same fucking things. You want an answer? How about the same answers given by the Left to the same exact question asked repeatedly over the last few years. "This isn't about Hillary, stop derailing the thread and deflecting." "You're a troll." "Just stop." "You're a Hillary supporter and as such you have no value as a human." "You shouldn't be allowed to post here." "It's not the exact same, it's completely different." "No one is as bad as Hillary, you can not compare the two." "Mueller found no collusion/Hillary wasn't charged, so there." "Now you've been given the facts and schooled, you just can't accept it." How do those work for you? None of those are answers to my question.

If anything, the troll’s predictable! Republicans lie. Gaslight. Cheat because they cannot win without doing so. I'm speaking on the substance and facts, you're just throwing out insults. Is this where I tell you to just "shut the fuck up" as I've read from the Left to conservatives a handful of times in the last several days?

None of those are answers to my question. Exactly. They weren't answers when handed out by the Left either. Ok. I asked an actual question. Maybe a little hyperbolic. I don’t really think it warranted you throwing out sentences directed towards other people in the past designed to shut them up. Especially when I have never, ever once called anyone a troll or attempted to silence them for their political beliefs here. But if this is how you want to operate on this board, cool. You do you. I’m not going to play tit for tat tonight though.

Sorry you can’t deal with the results. You’re sad folks. I’ll “deal with” it when I’m good and ready, how about that? That would be AFTER I and/or my representatives in Congress determine what the Mueller report actually contains. You know…the real truth, not the manufactured ones. You know…not like the ones Trump peddles daily.

You’re cherry picking, gaslighting, and moving the goal posts each time someone answers you that doesn’t fit your narrative. We see what you’re doing. Many have posted facts *substance* and you ignore it. We’re tired of your bullcrap circular speak, all comes back to but but but Hillary or The Left blah blah blah. You’re not speaking with substance, you’re just regurgitating Republican propaganda that isn’t true or fully factually correct. You’re clearly a trump apologist who doesn’t want to discuss reality, just push the republican narrative—facts be damned.

I think we need to keep in mind a few things. One, we have only read Barr's four page summary. We have only seen what he has let us see. Two, Barr was hand picked by Trump. He also was vocally opinionated about the Mueller investigation. Three, if nothing else, even Barr's quick summary has shown that: Russia actors did indeed work to interfere with American elections; and that Trump had surrounded himself with criminals throughout his presidency. If he really didn't know, do we want a president so oblivious? Also, now that it has been confirmed that Russia actors definitely worked to affect our elections, what will our president do to punish them, and what measures will he take to ensure it doesn't happen again?
And when will he hold a press briefing denouncing what Russia has done? The report from all 3 intelligence agencies stating the Russians interfered was released in early 2017 wasn’t it? The indictments from Mueller’s team against the Russians came down in February of 2018. So I think we can safely assume the answer to your question is: nothing. He will do nothing. I hope things have changed but the last I read the team in charge of working to avoid this in the future had not received direction from him and the money put aside to fight it wasn’t being used. I really hope that has changed. Wait, he did say something. That he believed Putin. That Putin said he didn’t do it and he believed him. To take a page from your book, you get that election security for the 2016 election was Obama's responsibility, right? It was known under Obama, Loretta Lynch, Comey, John Brennan, et al. What was done then? For one thing, they kept it from the American people. But what did they do to stop it? Did it work? Are those measures being continued by the Trump administration or was there nothing to continue? Why does Obama get a pass?

Sorry you can’t deal with the results. You’re sad folks. “Sorry you can’t deal with the results as interpreted by Trump’s AG, who, before he became AG, authored an extensive memo against indicting a sitting president.” There, fixed it for you. You’re welcome!

He tasked the intelligence agencies with figuring out what was going on and reporting on it. Hard to do anything before the data is available. IIRC, he found out that fall, and they were working in the background but what would you have him do publicly? Had the administration made a huge public show of it the collective GOP’s heads would have exploded and they would claim he was interfering in the election. But I’m sure you knew that.

SO good, release ALL the documents as well as the full report, regardless of the reasons!! House conservatives are intensifying their demands for scrutiny of Department of Justice (DOJ) decisions after the conclusion of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe. In a letter sent to President Trump on Monday, eight House conservatives argued that the declassification of some related documents is necessary to find out “how Congress, the courts, and the American people were misled by Department of Justice leadership into a two-year investigation that failed to discover any evidence of Russian collusion.” The lawmakers want the Trump administration to declassify the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) applications for former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page and other key documents related to the Steele dossier, including information on the Justice Department official’s contact with Christopher Steele, who authored the controversial dossier. The lawmakers cited the Mueller investigation closing with no additional indictments as further reason to release the documents. The request is led by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) and signed by Republican Reps. Matt Gaetz (Fla.), Paul Gosar (Ariz.), Ralph Norman (S.C.), Jody Hice (Ga.), Jeff Duncan (S.C.), Louie Gohmert (Texas) and Mo Brooks (Ala.). ** thehill.com/homenews/house/435713-house-conservatives-ask-trump-to-declassify-documents-underlying-muellerCan't pick and choose, release them ALL! With exceptions covering National Security! Those House conservatives have stones;I’ll give them that. After the ridiculous investigations they launched to smear Hillary Clinton, and failing time after time, they’re baying for yet another deflection-er, investigation. Hold it! I see that one of my favorite conservatives has lent his name to this move. Rep. Louie Gohmert, arguably one of the dumbest people in DC, is on this list. Our country is being run by the pettiest administration in the history of administrations. These people are total, complete buffoons. Where is the dignity? I can understand that she supports her boss. She wouldn't work for him if she didn't. But as a public official tweeting on a public account, this is undignified. On a personal account? Fine. But this is going to be part of the public record now. Memes and internet trolling have their place. This sort of thing is beneath the dignity of someone who is supposed to be doing a serious job and wants to be taken seriously. Why not just do all government communication in memes now? When you cut off someone's benefits, send them a funny picture of crying Jordan and tell them "sucks to be you!" When someone is audited by the IRS, send them Leo Dicaprio with the champagne and a note saying "congratulations, you're being audited!" When the military sends notification to a family that their loved one has been KIA, send them a photo from COD and a caption "F for respect, LOL your son isn't coming home." There is a time and place for funny (or not funny) memes and internet silliness. Government communication about serious issues isn't really that time or place. I have a really good sense of humor, but the government isn't a place where I expect to see someone trying to be a comedian. I guess we've just lowered the bar for what is professional behavior in an elected official so much that anything goes now.

The thing I don’t understand about the decision not to release the report to Congress (at a minimum) is this: it should only have a positive impact for the administration, the GOP and the whole process we’ve gone through. It would help the public regain a little bit of faith in our system. It should back up their claims and people who don’t trust the summary would be given a reason to do so. What is the downside for Trump, his administration, the DOJ, the GOP? How is proving our President and his campaign did not collude a bad thing for Americans? At worst, people can argue that just because nothing was found or could be proven to the point of criminal activity didn’t mean it didn’t happen. But Robert Mueller is widely believed to be a stand up, well respected, very competent man. If the report does exonerate Trump it can only be good for the country to know that.

This is McConnell's reasoning: “It’s not unreasonable to give the special counsel and the Justice Department just a little time to complete their review in a professional and responsible manner,” McConnell said on the Senate floor, according to CNN.
“We’re likely dealing here with potential other prosecutions, classified information, damaging people’s reputation,” McConnell continued. There’s no evidence that the attorney general is not going to produce as much information as possible for all of us, and that’s why I objected. I think it’s a reasonable thing to do.”
I believe it will eventually be released with the proper redactions, which will take time to do, I suppose.

Trump expanded sanctions on Russian companies and apparatchiks, he's expanded and beefed up NATO. He's had a massive increase in U.S. defense spending. Restoring missile defenses to Poland and the Czech Republic. Returning heavy armored divisions to Germany. Prepositioning armored divisions in the Baltics. Ending arms embargoes on The Ukraine and Georgia that Obama imposed on victims of Russian aggression. Ending the ban of oil exports to try and compete with the Russians when it comes to their oil. Funny you gave no credit for Obama's responsibility in knowing something about it under the 2016 election and not stopping it and no credit to Trump for what he's done since then. You laid it all at the feet of Trump as if Obama wasn't in charge during the interference. Trump was only a candidate at the time and had no power to do anything. Obama had all the power at the significant time that you are acknowledging Trump has now.

I believe it will eventually be released with the proper redactions, which will take time to do, I suppose. I would agree with this if not for the hastily released not-guilty-verdict type four page conclusion letter Barr did release. They (he) basically shouted it to the rooftops the conclusion they want us all to hear and believe. Now they want to take their time? Why? So their self-proclaimed "nothing to see here" can settle in and be accepted as (alternative) facts? They should have either held back the Barr letter and took the time they now say they need to review, OR because they released the "innocent letter" (claiming they read the entire report and came to the correct conclusion) been ready to release the report that will either confirm or contradict their conclusion. The way they chose to handle it seems to be trying to get their narrative out and ingrained in as many minds as possible for as long as they can before the whole thing comes to light. The way they have done it now is partisan, IMO. Let the report free to speak on it's own.

Well this is a good thing...
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday unanimously approved a resolution directing the Justice Department to give Congress all records on a FBI obstruction of justice or counterintelligence probes against President Donald Trump.
In a surprising show of bipartisanship days after U.S. Attorney General William Barr informed Congress that he did not find an obstruction case against Trump, the Democratic-led panel voted 22-0 to send the measure to the full House of Representatives for a possible floor vote.
Full House approval would give Barr 14 days to comply with the demand for all records and communications concerning FBI investigations of Trump as well any discussions within the Justice Department about secretly recording the president or seeking to replace him by invoking the 25th amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
