Fun thread! I read every reply and wish I could comment on SO many of them! I might post a pik later of me in front of my hand-drawn piks of John Travolta dancing in "Saturday Night Fever", and I also drew Micheal Jackson when he'd dance and hold his pose up on his toes, wearing the famous white glove. Plus, alllll the crazy things I wrote/ drew about the boy I was DESPERATELY "IN LOVE" with. I wrote my name as "Mrs. Bill ___" many, many times, with lots of colorful hearts, swirls, etc. I even drew piks of our future wedding! Aside from those, I also had piks of "Rocky"---I thought Sylvester Stallone was soooo hot---- and just for fun, I had a poster of "The Fonz" (no crush, I just loved the show). Also, Andy Gibb, but I always thought Barry was the HOT one! Santa Claus brought me the Andy poster, and I only put it up because I didn't wanna be ungrateful. (yeeaaa, of course I knew Santa wasn't real, but we still had fun with it!) I think I may have had a pik or two of Olympic gymnast Nadia Comenichi (sp?) because I LOVED watching her in the Olympics and wanted to BE her.

80's hair bands. Mostly Bon Jovi, but also Motley Crue, Skid Row, Poison, Cinderella, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Def Leppard, Inxs. Some of the 80's brat pack guys and pretty boy actors from the teen beat type magazines, like Rob Lowe, Johnny Depp, Judd Nelson, Andrew Shue & River Phoenix.

Billy Idol as a teen and Benji posters as a kid. For some reason, I can't remember what I had between Benji and Billy.

Mine were Nirvana, The Cure, and Nine Inch Nails mainly. I was a bit in love with Trent Reznor. I also painted this giant gnarly black tree and crows on my wall. The tree ended up scaring me when I woke up at night so I didn't sleep in my room for a good year until I repainted.

I had NKOTB plastering pretty much every square inch of my room. I was also slightly obsessed with Brad Pitt. I was a teen during his Interview with a Vampire and Legends of the Fall years. I had these posters hanging on my closet and bedroom door. Swoon ! Attachments:

I love this thread because you can pretty much tell how old we are. I had some Michael Jackson and Bobby Sherman posters and LOTS of Donny Osmond!! We were supposed to to be married one day but he didn't know that and married some floozy when I was still in high school! Nope I liked older men. James Garner was my main crush! What a gorgeous man.

My mom is an interior designer so my bedroom was always perfect coiffed. That said, I'm pretty happy she let me hang whatever I wanted in my room as a teen. Def Leppard posters for awhile and then I moved on to Morrissey, The Cure and Depeche Mode poster. And then magazine pics of cute clothes and bags from fun stores. That reminds me that I should lighten up on my teens!

I had John Travolta. What’s funny is is that I cannot stomach him now. He gives me the creeps. I thought he was so hot. I read articles about his life growing up and his family. I could probably remember 80% of it. I can totally picture the poster. I used to kiss it every night. 😑 🤦🏻♀️

Pictures of David Cassidy and Donny Osmond.
When I got past that stage, I had some really cheesy sketches of teenagers staring lovingly into each others' eyes, lol. And a couple of "pet posters" - "Hi, My name is Murgatroyd, and I'm a pet poster....." I can't remember the rest.

NKOTB, Edward furlong before he got weird, Jonathan Brandis were there main ones. All of their pictures came from Tiger Beat and another teen celebrity magazine that is no longer printed.
By the time I was a junior in high school, I had taken them all down except for a concert poster.

I totally remember one that I had. My girlfriend and I moved to California for awhile.. I found this 'sexy' poster to put on our bedroom wall. We shared a one bedroom apartment with 3 girls!! But on the closet I hung up a poster that was a (of course) buff dude in a Speedo type swimsuit holding a teddy bear... OMG that is just cracking me up thinking about it.

Nothing. My parents wouldn't let me put anything up on the walls because it would leave marks. Same! My dad worked for 3M and would not let us tape ANYTHING to the walls or doors! When I met DH he had that famous Farrah Fawcett poster of her in the red swimsuit and some other scantily clad woman, maybe Bo Derek? I remember thinking, WTF? And in a complete 180°, my own kid has all kinds of junk stuck to her walls including a 3’ tall Minnie Mouse and a 4’ tall Elsa vinyl decal! The sheet rock has just gone up in her room at the cabin and she’s already thinking about what she wants to put on the walls there. We don’t care, as long as she uses poster tape or something that will come off. I have a 5’ long Muppet decal I want to stick on the wall in my studio somewhere but I can’t figure out where it should go.

I think the posters I had on my walls were mostly of unicorns and other fantasy stuff like that; I didn't have any teen idol posters IIRC.

I wasn't allowed to hang things on my walls - restored century home, so no tape allowed lol.
I did, however, have a canopy bed. And for a while C. Thomas Howell hung there. That's the one I vividly remember!

I was not allowed to put up posters. One wall was wallpapered, one wall had a built in book shelf and the other two walls had a lot of furniture and windows. I would have loved to have posters but it didn't go with my mother's decorating scheme.

I had Anthony Kiedis and Jim Morrison posters. I thought the two of them were the sexiest men when I was a teen. And then there was this one. Because... Janis...
