They might make one now I agree - perhaps people feel differently because he won it so much faster than Ken Jennings. I can tell you though...if I were on a game show and I was on a winning streak, I sure wouldn't "step down' unless they made me. I think that's the reason... When Ken Jennings was on his winning streak the totals of each day's three contestants were much closer. There was more than one time when it seemed that Jennings might not win that day. So there was that element of suspense that's missing from James' run. I don't think he should step down though... he's playing by the rules of the game and kudos to him for being so fast with that buzzer and for knowing all those answers. And for being bold enough to make those huge bets. I would not step down either, but after his run, they should say no more than x amount of days, or x amount of money.

Yeah, I have not watched his episodes, it is really no fun. I am happy for him, but a game where you know the outcome is not really fun. And the skipping around for the daily double is a pet peeve. DH was on 15 years ago. He was the first to win more than 5 games, he won 6 WOW ! He must have been on right before Ken Jennings ! Just looked it up. It was Fall 2013 We got the check Feb 2004.

I’m assuming he won tonight. Our show wasn’t on because of the NFL Draft. Anyone know his win $ tonight ? (Fri 4/26).

Okay, I really do wonder (as did dh) if Jeopardy is trying to get rid of James. I say that because so many of those questions seemed easy. Dh, dd, and I were shooting off answers left and right. Too easy.

Too easy. How would they do that though? Mess with his buzzer?? I don't think they could get away with that.. not when there is this much on the line. And I can bet ratings are through the roof.

No, as in have a series ready that is easier with more common knowledge questions that they could put into rotation that game.

The few previous games, the questions were harder. Last night? Easy questions

I average the same 'right' answers in just about every game (not a whole lot).. although I feel very smart when I get the hard ones right or the bonus question.

His forte seems to be that he is very quick on the buzzer although both were very good last night.

James is so fast..he is ordering the next category before Alex is done saying his part. it is annoying, he is like a machine. I hate runaway Jeopardy games though I admit he is amazing and even though he almost got beat a couple nights ago - I'm not sure when it will happen!
I'm feeling like he could at least throw the other contestants a bone...he was like 50,000 ahead and was still answering $200 questions - the other two basically stopped even buzzing in, whats the point!!

I get that he wants to clear that board and is on a mission.. but yeah it is a little rude to cut Alex off like that. Although it seems like he just goes with the flow.. very classy (Alex that is). I liked his story about his daughter last night.. how the llama spit in his face, not once but twice! haha.
