I didn't see a thread started for June yet - If there is one, please let me know.
What is on your hooks/needles/sewing machines, etc?
I didn't post this last month because I have been so busy but I made a shawl for my mom for Mother's day. I used Downton Abby yarn and called it the "Lady Mary Shawl" - since my mom's name is Mary. She loved it. It is actually a bit longer than it looks but I couldn't get her to hold it exactly as I wanted.
I've also started some dishcloths for a summer dishcloth swap that is coming in (trying to get a head-start)
Show us your projects!

that's beautiful disneypal Not worth showing but I just finished a tad religious stand up album "Thankful" for my SisterIL for Christmas or her birthday while watching Netflix. It was a kit so not very creative but I think she'll like.

I was looking for a few beads to make a charm for the little photo album. Who managed to knock the whole box of beads all over the floor? This is what I am faced with to sort out now I have just picked them all up and dumped them in the box. Anyone free to help for an hour or so?

disneypal that is absolutely gorgeous! I feel lowly talking about what I made now. I'm not very crafty at all, but I made some cute treats for my daughter's sports team. I should have taken pics. Glad I popped into this thread though. You all are very talented.

phoenixcov - oh my goodness - what a chore. I have spent plenty of time picking up knocked over grommets and brads while scrapbooking - if I was there, I'd help you pick them all up peabrain - thank you. The shawl took me a long time to make because I took a hiatus here and there. I liked the pattern but don't know that that yarn was the best choice for it. I may make the pattern again but with a different yarn. I wish you had taken a picture of the treats - would love to have seen them.

I received a kit of 'slow stitching' and while it has taken me awhile to get started I'm enjoying putting it together now.
I have been overthinking what I'm doing and this has made it more complicated than it should have been! Will post pic when done..

I have started on some baby hats for my DGD. It is nearly winter in Australia, and all the little newborn hats they were given are getting too small for her.

disneypal That pattern is lovely! I bet your mom was thrilled with her shawl. candleangie You certainly have an eye for gorgeous fabrics. My mind is blown by the complexity of your pattern. I can't wait to see your final product.

My gig bag is FINALLY finished! You know when you think, “oh this’ll be a quick weekend project....”. Yeah. Not so much. Lol You can’t tell in this photo, but it also has a cross body strap on the back that hangs the guitar straight up and down behind you.

I finally put quotes on the paintings I did earlier. I have a couple with a purple border and one with a pastel border. I need to think of short quotes to put on those, but not sure what to use. Those are great!! Have you tried quote garden? I used it a lot when I was scrapbooking...it’s a pretty good resource. :-)

I'm still making slow progress on my rainbow colors circle cardigan. Probably will finish it in another month or two.
I've been wanting to play around with soldering some more (soldering iron, not with a torch).
I used to make a lot of the little pendants with microscope slides when that trend worked through the papercrafting world. But now I'm more interested in making pendants with stones, making little altered objects, etc...

These are 8x10 and I cut the letters out of vinyl with my cricut so I have to be very aware of how long the quote is.

I finished the Milky Way (aka Star) quilt I've been working on. Tomorrow it and another quilt top are going to be dropped off to be quilted. The yellow quilt was from a swap I was in a few years ago. I finally put the blocks together last year and am just now getting around to having it quilted. Now I need to cut out the baby boy quilt that's next in the queue. Hopefully it goes more quickly. ETA: I'm not sure why my photos are looking blurry. They aren't at on my phone. Anyone have a clue?

I've started another Nordic Wind shawl, it's about the only thing my brain can handle at the moment.
My husband bought me some lovely lace weight yarn in pale pink that I keep squishing, fingers crossed I feel ready for a challenge soon.

Thank you! I hope that the recipient likes it too. It's going to a long time friend who has no idea she's getting it. When I started the blocks 2 years ago I posted some photos on Facebook. She commented on it, then asked if I ever sold my quilts. Since she showed the most interest, she gets it! The stars are paper pieced and while some were easy, the last few were intricate and tedious. I'm planning a long break from paper piecing to concentrate on traditional quilt patterns now.

I didn’t do any crafting last month because I was tied up with a tax return and doing up my bedroom; the only thing that’s stayed the same is the mirrored wardrobes. It’s not finished yet, just awaiting some wall art, but I really love how it’s turned out. DH is the painter and I do the wallpapering. The ‘plain’ grey walls are papered with a sort of raffia texture. I initially wanted just a papered feature wall and the rest painted grey but the texture is much softer and more interesting.
