I can't seem to find a perfume that I love. I hate musky smelling (is that even a word?), lavender and vanilla. What perfumes do you love that I could try out?

What have you worn in the past and what's your price range? BTW, my new favorite thing is the tiny samples from Sephora because I get new scents every week or so. Speaking of, Sephora usually has a sampler set that you get some minis of a few scents and then a coupon for a full size to redeem of one of those that you liked. sephora sampler But if you search perfume sampler on the site a few come up

I just bought a new perfume at Louis Vuitton the other day. It’s called Afternoon Swim, it’s citrusy and summery and gorgeous! I also love Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt for summer, and maison Margiela Under the Lemon Trees. For fall and winter I tend towards heavier fragrances.

I always look at the display at Target and wonder if I should buy one. I don't usually wear fragrances but I'd like to find something very light and summery.

Ha! It's funny you mention these - these are the last two I have gotten from my Scentbird subscription. If you like to try out perfumes -I highly recommend getting a Scentbird subscription. YOu get a really nice sized trial bottle. You can pick what you want to get each month, or let them send you the 'perfume of the month'. I think you can do a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription. I totally love my subscription, and they also make great gifts.

Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin is really nice, too. I was with my sis in NY earlier this month and she bought this scent at Macy's. It is a perfect summer fragrance!

Please for the love of all things holy do not marinate in drugstore perfume. My friend squirts herself 6 times to use the stuff up. Spoiler: drug store One Direction perfumes stink.

I just got Louis Vuitton Attrapes-Reves. My daughter bought it for me. I love it and he hates it.

Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin is really nice, too. I love this scent. I use it at my mom's when I am there. I like Amazing Grace by Philosophy. I also found a scent at Target by SoliNotes, Yuzu. A light and citrusy scent.

Since the first of the year I have switched to Louis Vuitton Rose de Vents and I love it! I've gotten so many compliments on it as well. Its on the pricier side, but a little goes a long way.

My tried and true is Beautiful by Estee Lauder. Most other perfumes end up smelling like bathroom spray on me. Do you have a department store nearby where you can try out the scents before buying? What smells good on one person might not on another.

I like citrus scents, and now want to try the ones SockMonkey recommended. My go to is Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune by Guerlain. Grapefruit is the citrus in this one.

I'm going to bookmark this thread! I sound a lot like you. I like light, fresh, citrusy scents. I do NO like the philosophy grace scents though. They seem really heavy. Esp the one that's suppose to smell clean.
Right now I'm wearing, So Pink from the Gap, but it's been discontinued, so I need to find something else. Guess 1981 and Pink from Victoria secret.
I also did a lemony one from fresh once, and really liked it.

You might like Donna Karan ~ Cashmere Mist. It is very light and summery.
I used to wear it but I now am addicted to Pink Sugar by Aquolina.

Cashmere Mist is my winter fragrance. It's strange to me to hear that it's a summer scent. I wear a fragrance that was a special edition a few years ago for summer. I'm going to have to find another summer one soon. Keeping my eye on this thread.

That's how I ended up getting Tom Ford Soleil Blanc and Clean Aqua Neroli. I LOVE perfume and have dozens of them. I have a subscription to Scentbird, so I get a small one every month, and I buy a lot of purse spray or roller balls (if the scent doesn't come in a purse spray). Right now my absolute favorite perfume is Kilian Princess. I also love Escada Sorbet and Miami Blossom, Coach Floral, YSL Black Opium, Pink Sugar, Victoria's Secret Love Spell and Lancome La Vie Est Belle.

This was my fav for a long time then a couple years ago the formula seemed to change (or my nose did) and it just doesn’t smell as crisp and clean when I wear it. Makes me sad because it still smells so good in the bottle. My absolute new fav for about 5 years now is Bvlgari white tea (au the Blanc) which smells like The Westin! Lol. Similar to our grace to me as well. Fresh clean crisp.
