Apologies to scrappington. Didn't see a new thread so decided to start one myself. Hope you don't mind... I started the month with a couple of kit purchases. One I subscribed to. It's the Wild Hare kit which promises to curate the items to match my preferences. They asked a number of questions about colours and supplies and topics of pages, types of cards. Hoping that when I open the kit I am pleasantly surprised, as if Santa received my letter! The second kit was a one off purchase of My Hero kit with the mountains, trees, and lake stamps and dies. I hope to have some lake photos to scrap this summer, and will perhaps be going to Banff in July, so hoping those supplies come in handy. I almost snapped up a die that was essentially a circle with mountains/trees cut out of the bottom and clouds on the top that they had used for one of their sample cards. But later I was glad I didn't cave on that one: I will have the new tree & mountain dies, and I already have cloud dies and lots of circle dies, so I should be able too replicate their sample card without buying a die that would essentially just be for cutting a mask. My niece wants to get together to make birthday cards this month: an opportunity to use up some supplies rather than purchase any, but she wants me to stop in at Michaels this week to pick up some supplies for her. What are the chances I get out of there without spending some of my own money? Later in the month I will be attending a crop in Calgary. Fees are already paid, and I will be staying at my son's home so no accommodations costs, but I am sure there will be some scrappy temptation there...

Oh, grammadee, I hope the Wild Hare kit has everything you want in it. Christmas in July Well, tomorrow I'll get my first shingles vax. I was told to allow myself a few days to do nothing at all in case I'm feeling sluggish, and my family knows not to make any demands of me, so if I get lucky I just might get a little scrapping done. Then on Saturday I have a day crop to look forward to. (Oops, edit, it's the following Saturday) It's been awhile since I've done any scrapping, and I'm feeling a little unsure about how to jump back into it, but I'm sure it'll come back to me.

Thanks for starting the thread! grammadee Tell us all about the Wild Hare kit when it comes! I hope it's awesome! 😁 msliz I hope you feel fine after your vax. And I'm sure scrapping will come right back to you. 😁 As for me, I'm completely consumed with wanting my ACOT preorder stuff to ship this month. And also waiting for my Snapfish order to arrive. It includes my dd's graduation & grad party pics. And also Pride pics. Lots of great stuff that I'm so eager to work with.

I've set up my 2018 AND now my 2019 PL albums with all of the photos that I've printed so far. I have about 6 photos waiting for the next lot of pictures before I can put them in my albums, but otherwise I can just dive into a project. I need to order May and June photos this week and just transferred photos from my phone and big camera in order to get working on that. I finished my 2017 PL album a little over a week ago which FINALLY lifted the ban on me using my Ali Edwards SBTM kits. I used the Januaries for both years to make my cover pages. The rich colors went REALLY well with the family photo shoot we had in November and because I love the pictures and could decide whether to use the photos for the next year or the year they were taken in, I used different ones from the shoot for each. I really enjoyed making them and using the kits. I'm using the leftovers to start my first weeks in 2018 now.
I'm really behind, but it is encouraging that very few weeks are several pages...the opposite is the case most weeks. I was able to condense most weeks 2 or 3 to a spread. Even though this completely hinges on my productivity, I feel like there is a chance, even if it's a small one, to make up a bit of ground. If I spent as much time making as I did planning, I'd always be caught up!

This past weekend I went and spent the entire weekend out of town with a scrappy friend at an actual scrapbook store cropping the weekend away!! It was glorious!! We don't have a scrapbook store in our town anymore so it was well worth the 2 hour drive to spend the weekend surrounded by actual scrappy stuff!! It was so much fun and the store owners where awesome and had a great variety of new stuff. It felt like the good old days! We decided we are gonna make it up every other month.

I have been scrapping pictures of my dog, my cousins' babies, and my Grandma's house where I spent every weekend growing up. I am enjoying these little projects so much -- I burned myself out on scrapping last year finishing two vacation albums. Even though I love scrapping our vacations, It's been nice to do something else and I feel like I am using up so many supplies! Who am I kidding, I'm not even making a dent

I love these threads! I love to weigh in as well as read.
This month has kicked off with bags full of scrap purchases from Expo still piled up on my sofa and dining room. I am going to find a place for it before I do it all over again at CKC at the end of July.
I had a small retirement lunch and got lots of photos, so I am going to be trying to locate the various retirement papers and stickers I bought in the past. I'm thinking I will do some kind of album of work related pics at some point, but DGD was there and I am going to do a page for her book.
I have a cropportunity on July 4th that I **gasp** turned down because I had signed up to volunteer at the local Colonial museum and then go over to DS's house for a photo op of DGD holding a small flag so I can use my "Our Little Firecracker" diecut I bought at Expo.
Today I ordered an Echo Park kit from peachy cheap, paid as much for postage as I did for the kit and I bought it solely because it has little red wagons and you guessed it, I have a little red wagon I bought for DGD.
At the end of the month when I go to CKC, the Cozy Crop house is having an open house after totally tiffany comes in and reorganizes everything, and then letting s crop there Fri and possibly Say evenings after the convention.
In between all that I have a trip to San Antonio, Texas and I'm sure I will be taking some photos! Busy month!

Apologies to scrappington . Didn't see a new thread so decided to start one myself. Hope you don't mind... Not at all..Thank you...I'm just glad it continues. My scrappy random is....did any one else see the new christmas release from tim holtz? I just love christmas... I am on a freeze until my yard sale in August. Last year I did about $400...hoping for $250 this year ...and its all going back to scrappy supplies. I don't have any really scrappy plans this month. No classes until Sept. Have an annual weekend gathering in August. The humidity has finally found its way to Ontario going to feel like 40 this week and I just don't like it. We only have air con in the bedroom. My scraproom does get some of it with fans placed strategically. might just have to hide in there rest of week. need to clean off my desk. I went to get a roll of tape off my desk and it was covered in ink. I guess I knocked the lid of my ground espresso distress ink...the cardboard centre of the tape absorbed it. I do have the reinker so will have to see how the pad is. That is about all that is new in scrappy land..

Since you had a retirement lunch, did you get to retire? I know there was an issue over paperwork or something. Thank you for asking. No I actually haven't retired yet. I had a lunch, got a certificate, and today is my last working day. Then I am taking leave until the end of July and coming back July 31st to outprocess, turn in keys, etc. I've been told the issue will be resolved by then. I was told it takes 30 working days to resolve and July 31st is 30 working days. I have it in my mind that I may end up taking a bit of leave without pay if there is some kind of hold up, because I am not coming back to work. But hopefully I have suffered enough of a set back that the retirement Gods will have pity on me and wrap it all up by July 31st.

Tuesday night the boys played Talisman so I got to scrapbook for a couple of hours. Nephew left on Wednesday morning. So Wednesday and yesterday, I got quite a few pages made. I have some errands today but then hope to get to finish the 4th layout in an event series that I started yesterday.

Well, I didn't get any scrapping done in my down time like I hoped I might, but we had a nice time yesterday evening and they even let me take pictures. Just BBQ and sparklers, but it was fun. 2 more pages to scrap

Hi ladies- I often read these threads, but have never participated. So.. hello! I have spent the last couple of days organizing the pics on my computer from the past couple of years, tracking down and adding all of the misc pics from emails, texts, DH's phone, etc. Then updating my master organization spreadsheet, adding pics to kits I have purchased and organizing those kits, putting together picture orders for Walgreens and printing out the odd-sized pics at home... I have been very busy but haven't scrapped a single thing! I even made a list of kits and embellies to look out for at the Expo next month. It's taken hours and hours! But it was one of my projects for this summer vacation and now I am done.
Now too bad I'm too tired? burned out? to actually go work on a page!

I need to sort out of some photos into page protectors by album/layout

I finally decided to invest in a pro organizer to help with my scraproom. I had been trying to do it myself but found it far too overwhelming. We've had three sessions now and it's getting close. It is nice to finally have full access to my things instead of having lots buried in boxes.
There are some boxes left but I hope to tackle them on my own and wrap things up. There are still a handful of boxes left along with piles of layouts that need to be put in albums. I'm horrible at doing that, apparently. LOL.
I feel really grateful because there are a lot of pros out there but I really connected with the ones I chose. Whenever I have more money I will get them to help in another room as well.

Glad you decided to jump in. That is an amazing project you not only took on, but succeeded in finishing! Kuddos to you! Don't beat yourself up over needing a bit of time before jumping in. Maybe you'll be ready in a week or two, maybe next month. Just congratulate yourself on getting your photos pics and things in order!

I scrapbooked most of the afternoon/evening yesterday. I started a series of one outing on the 4th and am now on page 9. I'm hoping to finish the series this weekend. It should entail that 9th page and a few more, depending on how big I want the photos to be. But real life calls too. So I guess I should do some chores over the weekend.

I just sorted about 6 months worth of AX die purchases and filed them in my binder system. Now I need 2 more binders. I have also been sorting and purging books for my junk journals/glue book projects. They were good indoor projects to do on such a hot and humid week.

We have survived 2 of 4 weeks with the grandchildren. I love them and love having them here, but dear Lord, I am tired!
I miss scrapbooking. I miss my house, as we've been gone a lot. I told DH we are not leaving the house in August. We'll have groceries delivered.

OMG I spent so much of today just trying to organize the product I bought at Expo. I was able to take my current photos and put the paper and embellishments I can use and get that much organized for my crop this weekend. It is so overwhelming. If only I could scrap even faster! I want to use up a lot of this stuff!

I cleaned up my scrap space today and I am so pleased with myself. I’ve had this never ending album project going on and haven’t wanted to put away the huge kit I made so I could continue to have easy access to it. But the mess has been on my last nerve lately. I hate clutter. I finished the album today AND cleaned up.

I haven't had a chance to scrapbook since the beginning of June! I finished up the school year and catered the next couple of weekends. This past 3 days we've been gone because my daughter was playing softball proviencials. 3 long days of driving 2 hrs there and 2 hrs back, playing 7 games in 3 days! Happy to be home, got some great photos and they brought home a hard fought silver medal! Now I feel like I have a softball hangover and need to decompress before I can be creative.
