I’ve had the pleasure of meeting several Peas in person over the years. It’s been a couple of years since I met the last one, until today! We discovered we were in the same area on a recent thread.
Min also still really good friends with a couple I met on the original board.
Have you met any in person? How did you discover each other? Did you live in the same area, or meet up on a trip?
It’s so fun getting to chat with someone who has similar interests that you’ve known online forever in the secret land of Peadom!

I haven't met her yet - but I plan on meeting a scrappy pea when I move my son to College Station. She lives about 90 min or so from there and I am so thankful that she is willing to step up if he ever needed someone to (until we could get down there).

I have met and spent time with probably 15-20 (most are former) peas from both around here and throughout the US over the years. One of whom (lives several states away) I grew very close with. She and I traveled together, she stayed wth me during a cancer scare that brought her to my city for care, and I became an "auntie" of sorts to her kids.
Several I still consider to be friends.

I've met quite a few over the years when the Houston Peas would get together for dinner, as well as at the Kaitlyn Crop's. Ages ago I went to one of Kaitlyn’s (or is it with a C?) Crops I met a lot of peas, even stayed with one. It was a blast. What year? Wondering if I met you then? I've been to all but 2 or 3 of the crops.

My memory is so horrible I don’t even remember, probably around 2002-2005. I stayed with April, KevinsAngel on TwoPeas. And I remember she taught a class making one of those chipboard books. I was thinking about it earlier, I don’t even remember if we took pictures! That would be a serious fail for a bunch of scrapbookers

How fun!
I was just thinking the other day about a small crop I went to around 2004 in the Lewisville TX area with a few peas. Not trying to give too much personal info, but the host was house sitting for her boss I think, and we met in the apartment attached to the business. For the life of me, I cannot think of this person's first name or Pea name. If this person is reading this, please let me know! :-)

I’m friendly with or at least have met a number of the local (NorCal) peas. I spent an afternoon with @scrubologist when I was visiting the Seattle area. Also met former pea Lindy when I was in Texas (I don’t think she’s on this board, but we’re still friendly). I’m Facebook friends with a lot of peas and former peas. I think I’ve met some others, too, but I’m too old and forgetful now! ETA I knew Virginia/compwalla from when she lived in this area. Sad face, but I’m so glad we got together several times before she moved to Texas.

So fun you got to meet up! I have met a number of peas and have spent time with three peas just this past week (my daughter and I are driving cross country)! If any of y'all pass through the Grand Canyon, drop me a line.

I've met some of the PIXIES from the old board, one at the Monterey Aquarium just by chance and recognized her from the board, others by a get together at Berkeley. Fun times!

I met Crystal B at Scrapbook Expo the past few years. I really look forward to that.
I know a few others because back in the day when 2peas was where everyone scrappy was, my area had lots of peas and we would run into each other at crops, the LSS, etc. Now I only really know of 1 or 2 from back then. Mystie is one of them.

I met one by chance. My son recognized some of her pictures and realized her daughter was in the same second grade class.
I also met one at a play put on by a local children’s theater group.

@ihavetoomuchstuff made the mistake of inviting me to a day crop a couple years ago, and now she can't get rid of me. Next crop is in 10 days. We "met" here on one of those "where a Pea lives" threads.

I learned that she’s a scrapbook spreadsheet keeper, and hoarder of tools. She loves to crochet, and make blankets for those in need. ❤️ Can't wait to meet up again. We should get a pic next time!

I met a few back in 2003 when I first started scrapping. It was a crop. I don't remember any names/pea names though. I just remember one was a HOF'er and I didn't even realize what that was yet! There were a couple of really nice ladies and a few who were a bit snotty.

Yes! I've met 2 actually.
Outspoken and I met in Dayton, Ohio 2 years ago because both our girls went to the national winter guard championships (WGI for those who are familiar). I live in NYS and she's in Florida. She was so lovely and made the bus wait for her so she could see my girl perform (her guard performed, then there was a break then it was our turn). She walked out of the arena with me, give my girlie a big hug and we've kept in touch ever since.
Doing the card swap 2 years ago, I received a card from someone in my area and I was thinking, damn that name looks familiar. It was beachhappy22 also known as my friend Paula, who works at the same VA hospital as I do. We had spoken on the phone many times and never knew that each other was a Pea.

These stories are wonderful!!!!
Sadly, I have never met a fellow Pea!
However, I live in Ohio, so I would like to call on all Ohio Peas that would be interested in meeting!!!
I go to Pittsburgh fairly often, so I am shouting out to those Peas as well!!
Let's do this!!!

When did CKU come to Dallas? 2004? We did a HUGE Pea dinner. There were probably 30 people at that dinner but I cannot remember anybody's name! I know zookeeper in real life, but we met at 2peas.
