I'm watching. I'm done with Bernie. What he wants is not realistic. Obamacare would be easier to fix than creating Medicare for all.

Warren is right – she has the guts to take on goliaths. Dems win when we figure out what’s right and we go out there and fight for it.
Delaney is also right – don’t do fairy tales.
Arrgghh. I’m beginning to agree with everybody.

Klobuchar - the Dems are more worried about winning an argument than winning an election.
I agree with this.

I watched until just now. They are having the same argument about whether we should have Medicare for All or keep private plans because it is more palatable to the electorate. I agree with the latter. It's the voters in the middle who will decide this election.
So I didn't really learn much from tonight about the candidates that I didn't already know. I think the governor of Montana is new to the race. From what I've read, people in Montana really like him and wish he would run for senate. That would be a better option. The possibility of flipping a state like Montana is one of the big ideas I'd like to see implemented.
I thought the Star Spangled Banner by the choir in Detroit was awesome and worth tuning in for.

Ok, thus far I am disappointed in Pete. I really wanted him to take a stand and be a leader tonight. And he just hasn't.

Hate the format, they don't give anyone a chance to finish a sentence.

Infrastructure – per Klobuchar invest $1T and pay for it by changing capital gains rate and reversing Trump’s regressive tax bill. I can get behind that.
(See, MW isn’t answering the question again. She’s speaking in generalities.) (I disagree about Bernie - he's not coming across to me as crazy; he's coming across as someone who has a tremendous amount of passion and caring for the working and middle classes.)

This is intense! So far, Delaney, Hickenlooper, Bullock, Ryan, Klobuchar seem to be the moderates. (They must be paying attention to all the warnings.) Sanders, Warren are still far-left. Mayor Pete and Beto, I'm not sure.
Delaney wants us back in the TPP. Warren wants us to give unions, farmers, small businesses the chance to compete because multinationals don't care about people. Trade deals are just to suck more profit for themselves. Sanders doesn't want NAFTA, etc, agrees with Warren. Hickenlooper says no trade wars. Mayor Pete says Rs currently blocking bill for increase in minimum wage (no surprise, eh?) Delaney - raise capital gains tax (I agree!). (BTW, I read this morning that Trump and GOP are planning a 2nd tax cut for the 1%. Christ almighty.)

Mayor Pete on student loans – no wipeout, but expand Pell grants and have states take more of the financial burden. (Sounds good but how? Where would the states get the money?)

Well, everyone sounds more rational than Trump. The bar is low, yes, but at least these candidates CAN speak in coherent sentences.

Foreign Policy - I think they’re mostly in agreement here. Engage all countries but demilitarize our foreign policy. Use diplomacy. Withdraw troops from Afghanistan. Beto says withdraw them all – Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. Hickenlooper is open to keeping some for humanitarian issues. We need clear policies for denuclearization.

He has won governor 3 2 times in Montana a RED state.

I could be sleep-deprived for three days straight and hanging by a thread semi-conscious and I’d still be more rational than Trump. I think anyone here can say that.

I’m pissed I missed the first hour. MW is an odd duck. 🦆
I’m a conservative looking for someone to vote for so I’m trying to make a point to follow all the debates.

Yeah, via "executive authority." With all the problems we have and having already added $1.8T to the deficit, we want to give the super wealthy more money in a 2nd round.

What's the verdict, people? Who did well? I'm having a hard time deciding. Delaney, Ryan, Hickenlooper were very good, IMO. Warren was a great speaker and persuasive, as always (but I'm biased for her). Bernie was on fire, as always. Mayor Pete, I think, was calm and sensible. Beto, I don't know...maybe because he didn't get enough face time. Forgot Klobuachar - same as Mayor Pete, I think, calm and sensible.

Hate the format, they don't give anyone a chance to finish a sentence. I finally changed the channel because the format was making me anxious. One minute is not enough time to answer the question.

Warren - ok, but still not a fan Delany, Ryan, Hickenlooper - better than I thought they'd be. I actually felt like these three were 'fighting' to keep in the race. They wanted it Mayor Pete - He's my guy, but I didn't think he was a leader tonight though he did have moments. For me, he is VP material for sure. Bernie - no way could I get behind him. I just cant. Beto - eh. I dont think its his time. But I could see him being a VP candidate. Klobuachar - I think she did ok, but nothing memorable. MW - ugh. just go away and sing kum bah yah somewhere else.
Overall, I think Delany and Ryan stood out the most. I saw more about them than I usually did.
I hate this format though. I feel like you cant really see what a candidate is really about before their time is over.

My impression after tonight's debate is that I want more information about Delaney. I feel that way as well (and I am surprised by it). I went in thinking he would be one of the ones to fall back after this debate. But not so.
