I guess Felicity Jane is reading here (or not, I dunno). But here is a sneak. I'm not in love with that colour scheme. I have some of the Holly and Joy kits that I was hoping to use along with this year's kit but I dunno... I have left all of my eggs in the FJ basket so I hope that doesn't come back to bite me.
Also my 2C on the business approach... it is possible that she has no desire to grow much beyond her current base. And that is why she does things her own way. Not every business seeks to grow beyond a certain point. It's pure speculation as I have no idea what her business plan is but it's an alternative perspective

I'm so glad that you like it! I was thinking of my grandparents and parents when I designed it. This was Christmastime for me when I was a kid. I grew up in Los Angeles and we'd go downtown stores to see all the Christmas decorations. Take care! I think it's awesome. It reminds me of my grandparents in particular and also my parents. I'm doing 2 albums this year. A "traditional" December Daily and a December Memories album. I'm going to use it in the second album. This is the first year with no grandparents or parents (my mum passed unexpectedly on 26 June). I'm going to use the collection to make an album of all the special holiday memories of my grandparents and parents throughout the years. It's the perfect collection. I also like that it's geared more towards city living. A lot of the holiday collections are much more country and not everyone lives in the middle of nowhere. lol Thank you so much for such great designs. :-) I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm honored that your using the collection to help memorialize your special Holiday memories. Growing up in a big city (Los Angeles) Christmas had a different feel to it. I treasure those memories. Take care and thank you!

Who is fan-girling that Steven Duncan is posting in our thread? I have paper so good I won't even cut it. I bought an entire pack of just one design once so I would have lots of it. I don't think I would have gotten into this hobby if it weren't for his work. Thank you!!! Wow!!! You are so nice! I'm so glad you like my lines. I'm happy that you're part of the paper-crafting community now and my art helped get you into it! Thanks so much for your kind words. Much appreciation!!! Steve

I’m so glad Felicity Jane shared a sneak today, but now I just want to see everything 😬😂. I’m actually okay with a kit that ships a little later since I tend to do my album after Christmas anyways, but I really like to see all the options so I can make decisions. I’m definitely intrigued that the sneak showed a Christmas tree instead of a girl. I think her girls are cute, but for me they are a waste because I don’t use them.

Has anyone seen a line stamp similar to this year’s DD release? I know she has a chunkier one in the shop, but I prefer the DD one and I don’t want to pay $5 for shipping. This is the only thing I want also, and just for those wonky lines, but I refuse to pay full price and shipping. I'll be over it by Christmas!

Will I be horribly judged if I end up buying both die cut packs? They are absurdly overpriced, but I still really want them. Also, I'm not into the Hallmark movies, but I think I should try again. I watched one last year about a prince and a chef? It was horrible, so I stopped trying. But my daughter and I are really into watching sappy love stories lately (hello Nicholas Sparks) and it could be something fun to do together. No judgment at all. If the products are up your alley or make you happy, there's never anything wrong with that! Are you thinking of that Netflix movie with Vanessa Hudgens? She was a baker from Chicago (totally inaccurate scenes from Chicago, btw) who switched places with a princess/royalty who looked exactly like her by going to this televised baking competition. And she met a prince/royalty of some kind along the way and the princess fell in love with her business partner. It was a really bad movie. I don't even know if I finished it, but clearly I remember the synopsis. Ooh, I really liked that one even though it was way baaaaddd! I'm too old have seen Vanessa Hudgens in anything else, and bad accent and all, I found her adorable.

Thanks so much for dropping in, stevenduncandesigner. We love it when we see your name pop up on the board! The inclusion of white instead of cream for some of your more recent lines has been a very smart decision. Many of us love the clean white look mixed in with the retro. I agree about the white vs cream. The cream tends to remind me of people attempting ‘retro’ in the 1970’s. Yes! I love white instead of cream. In Christmas lines and in “boy” or “masculine” lines. I’m tired of them being predominantly cream-based - I much prefer crisp white!

I’m using her kit from last year for this year’s project and would like to add some (or a lot!) from this release.

She and Zac Efron are both adorable, and it’s got that same cheesy, predictable feel that the Hallmark movies have. 😃

Are you going to do your December memories album in December as you remember things or are you starting early? Do you have a list of topics already?

Thanks so much for liking the line. It reminds me of my childhood growing up. Christmas was the time of year that my whole family showed up, my granddad dressed up as Santa for the kids and my Mom and Dad would get dressed up in their party clothes. Good to know about the white vs. cream. My stuff is mostly retro so cream is usually my go-to background (to make it look vintage) but we went with white on this line. Take care! I had a few pieces from your line turn up yesterday and they’re even better in person! I just adore the washi tape with the lights. I tend to prefer white so I was excited that this year is ‘cleaner’ but still totally retro. Thanks for sharing what inspired the line 😄

It does irritate me as an international customer. No way does the timing work unless I'm buying a year ahead. And now I already spent money with Ali and stocking up on a few things. FJ needs to take a leaf out of Elle's Studio's book. Doesnt FJ specially sell to retailers overseas? Didn't we talk about that at some point? Her products are now available without ordering from her? If thats the case, why intentionally leave out internationals? Felicity Jane sells/used to sell select items to some international retailers. You can't bet on getting what you want using that method as an international, though. I've noticed major gaps and delays in the merchandise. It looks like she's selling the leftovers from her lines rather that catering full collections to these retailers. I am not sure whether this is still happening. The European retailer that used to have some FJ once in a while, scrapdelight.nl, hasn't had anything from FJ in stock in a while.

I'm relieved, I don't like the colors of the FJ stuff at all. No FOMO here. I may pick up a few of the embellishments, I'm hoping for a set of transparencies sans creepy santa face.
My feeling is that the owner of FJ is comfortable where she's at with sales. I've seen photos on her Instagram account of packing orders in her living room, so I think she's a fairly small operation.

I don't know if this was posted in the original email, but Feed Your Craft holiday items are being released on October 1 at 8 a.m. EDT.
This is a few days before the KP release, right?

Thank you so, so much for offering!

Am I the only one who doesn't care about white or cream? I use both. It's not even something I think about. It just doesn't bother me if they match or not. I know some people are picky about it. (I got other issues! ha!).

(I got other issues! ha!). Unless the difference is egregious, it doesn't bother me, as there are a lot of colors and other things going on on my layouts. If this were the difference between paints for a house/room, though, I would care about the shade.

(I got other issues! ha!). I'm picky with colours in general in life. Within my albums, apartment, wardrobe, etc. I pay far more attention to the amount of contrast, hue saturation levels and colour temperature than just basic ideas like cream vs white. I've taken literally months to pick white shades to repaint my living space.
