Thank you houstonsandy ! I've never opened this thread before but I sprained both my ankles last night so I've been reading this off and on. 🤨🤨🤨 How does one sprain both ankles? I hope you are feeling better - I see I missed this a week ago.

Well, the copier guy has to order parts to fix the copier. I don't know what he was told in regards to the disinfecting process... Crazy likes to be in charge of all the "supplies". So we are out of bandaids still---been asking for those for about three weeks, she keeps the copy paper hidden somewhere so if the machine runs out there is not another ream nearby to refill it and you have to ask her for more (don't know what happens if she is not there...), and now we are out of the big trash bags for the large trash containers in the cafeteria where everyone dumps their lunch trash. OMG - She is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.

I hope you are feeling better - I see I missed this a week ago. I've lived in wintery states (Utah/Michigan) my entire life but the FIRST night we had of a slight icy snow I was carrying my almost 5 year old and missed a step. As I kept him from hitting the group I somehow not so gracefully messed them both up. I only have my left in a boot, my right is still sore but at least I can walk!

First day back to school following the break. Good news! The health department contacted us and designated myself and the receptionist as the "school nurses" so we qualify to receive the COVID vaccine NOW.... so mine is scheduled for Thurs. This afternoon when I took a transcript to crazy so she could run it through the postage meter and mail it, she asked me if J. had not yet told me about being able to submit the transcripts to the colleges electronically now? "Really? We can send transcripts to colleges online now?" I asked, because I was confused. This would be really BIG news! I can't imagine that J. would not have told me about this! A few weeks ago he had put the transcript request form onto our website so students could fill it out online and it would automatically be emailed to me...(they used to have to fill it out in person and hand it to me). So yeah...you can see where this is going, right? lol But being ever hopeful, I found J. and asked him about it... Of course he had no idea what I was talking about! She was confused and thought that the online form he put on our website was a way to actually submit the transcripts electronically to colleges... Uhhhh, no...subscribing to a service for that costs money.

Oh! She did something crazy again! She has been relatively innocuous lately, but she was just holding out for a doozy. She texts me today (from the other end of the building) "Hello, could you give me a list of girls that signed up for volleyball and what each one paid?" Ummmmm.....excuse me....what are you talking about, we did not do sports this year."Oh, L said you might have the list" The list for what?"Ms A is doing an after school volleyball clinic" I don't know what you are talking about....This is all news to me.... So she actually walks down the hall to my office. What volleyball clinic? We are doing a volleyball clinic? Since when?"Since the first of March. We sent out a form to the parents. I need to know who paid so I can pay Ms A." Well...seeing as how no one told me about this until just now...I haven't billed anyone so we haven't received any payments at all."Oh....I just assumed you knew" ***bangs head on desk*** HOW WOULD I KNOW IF YOU DID NOT TELL ME? "I will ask Ms A" and she walks away. I finish my lunch and go ask the gal at the front desk (she does the forms) if she can send me a copy of the form and who signed up. She showed me where the list was on the shared drive. There are 6 girls signed up. So I go to crazy's office and tell her where to find the list of the girl who signed up. So....I found out who is signed up. Its on the staff drive"Oh...where? I looked on the budget spreadsheet but didn't see anything." ***thinking to myself...well, I make the budget spreadsheet, and if I don't know about something....then how will it get on the budget spreadsheet?*** No, there is a list on the drive. But no one has paid so far because I didn't know to bill them"I texted Ms A but she hasn't come in to see me yet" ***that is because Ms A does not come in until after school is out. She does aftercare until 6pm and then this clinic apparently*** She doesn't come in to work until after 3:00...."Oh. Well I don't know how much to pay her until I know how many girls paid" No one has paid. And even if I go on and bill their accounts today, the next auto payment date is April 1st. You won't get any payments until April 1st."Well, I'll have to talk to Ms. A" I assume she is going to make Ms A take the blame for not telling me that these girls needed to be billed and use that as a reason not to pay her until next month. I then went to one of the other admins in the front office who sets up the billing categories so I could bill it correctly since there is not a specific place for athletic fees this year. Why didn't I know about this?"Oh...this was all her idea. She did all this on her own. We all stayed out of it"

Wowzers! It has been awhile, but now I have a really bizarre update on Crazy! We just had a student (1st going into 2nd) withdraw yesterday after already enrolling for next year. The reason stated is because the student does not feel safe.....because of....get this!....CRAZY's granddaughter (also 1st going into 2nd) THREATENED TO KILL HER WITH A POCKETKNIFE! (I don't know if she had an actual pocketknife on campus). I just heard that Crazy's granddaughter is in some major counseling. She has been throwing tantrums, throwing desks around, hitting, and then she threatened to kill her classmate! If it was any other kid they would have been booted out a long time ago, but....no. We will just lose all the other PAYING students apparently because of her actions. Now the parents are wanting their non-refundable enrollment fee returned ($650) because of the reason for withdrawing. Of course, the elementary director had advised that this should be done without question and should have been offered proactively, but now it is going to be a battle 'cuz Crazy doesn't like to refund ANYTHING! Can't wait to see how this is going to play out.

In this particular situation I would 100% give the deposit back. That is just nuts that "Crazy" would think otherwise.

Wowzers for sure. Didn't you say this is a family owned school? Maybe this is the reason - generational poor behavior. Your posts bring a little entertainment for us, hope you are surviving it as well.

Someone might want to let crazy know that the $650 refund is a lot less expensive than the attorney fees that will come from court battle for that refund.
