You won't be disappointed. Saw it last Wednesday. It's been out for a week here.

They are having a premier here that is going to be fun tonight...tea and biscuits, live music, dress as your favorite character, cardboard cut outs of the characters...going to show it on several screens as they pre sold nearly 500 tickets. Watched the NBC special last night...it was OK but Derek Hough made it all about himself complete with dance moves throughout the hour.

I have tickets for tonight! DH is reluctantly going with me - he never really watched the show until the last season. I used to watch with my younger daughter but she is living 700 miles away now and logistics didn't work out for me to go there or her to come here to see the movie together.
I'm so excited I'm pretty sure tears will start flowing as soon as I hear the theme music!

Saw it last night for early release. All I can say is ...sigh. It was like seeing an old friend. I thought the ending of the series was too rushed. Everything was tied up in a nice bow at the end. This is more relaxed and comforting. Hope all who go enjoy it as much as I did.

I was fortunate to see it last week with friends who got a ticket to an early premier, lots of "single" women attending - meaning, women by themselves!

I saw it last night. It was predictable, but I mean that in a good way. I too got chill bumps during the opening scenes as the familiar theme music swells up and the house comes into view.

Does the movie stand alone or will I have had to watch the series to understand it? The previews look beautiful and for some reason I feel like seeing the movie, but I know absolutely nothing about the series.

BUT... knowing the background of the characters and stories behind them would make it MUCH more enjoyable.

I saw it last night and left theater so happy. It was like catching up with an old friend and I teared up as the soon as the music began playing. Silly but it really made my week!

The previews look beautiful and for some reason I feel like seeing the movie, but I know absolutely nothing about the series. You can absolutely watch it as a stand-alone. When I sawing last week, they even did a 5 minute “overview” of the series as a preview before the movie. The only added benefit of having seen the series first is a bigger emotional satisfaction when your favorite characters get the stories you want them to have. But you won’t be lost.

Can someone please tell me what Tom says to the Princess after the parade? They reference it later but that’s when I took a potty break.

I will probably be seeing it on Tuesday. I was late to watching the series but binged it quickly on Amazon Prime.
