thanks everyone for all the beautiful cards I received. Mine went out on Saturday. Yep. I am the queen of procrastination. I did not have a chance to send to everyone this year (because...procrastination). I did get about half the people on our list. Next year I will do better.
Also, some of you will be getting a card with an over the top (for me) message. It says "In the sparkle of the season, in the hush of falling snow, our hearts reach out in gladness to the special friends we know." I loved the cover and did not bother to read the sentiment. Anyhow, Merry Christmas everyone.

Many apologies. I only got out a few cards the whole household has been sick. I’ll figure out what to do after Christmas . I am very very sorry. I have loved the cards I received (even though right now I have a stack I have not even opened yet). Thank you to everyone.

I love my cards! Thank you so much to everyone who sent me a card - it has been so enjoyable to open each and every one of them.
Thank you to the pea who also included a little gift as well - did a lil happy dance I did!

Please do not apologize for not sending out "enough" cards. The point is to send what you are able, be that one or all or anything in between.

So I think y’all will get a kick out of this.
First off, if your name is Susan...I’m sorry. I did a find/replace in excel to remove USA from the addresses before I printed the mailing labels...and I didn’t make sure to click Entire Cell Contents. So that would be why your cards are addressed to “Sn” instead of “Susan” because it removed the USA from your names. Oops.
Secondly, I bought the exact number of stamps. I double checked the total. After getting all cards addressed and sealed up, I was one stamp short. So I had to go get one from post office, but no big deal.
Today, I found out why I was one stamp short. My dumbass didn’t remove myself from the file, so I sent a card to myself!!! My husband is keeping it because it made his day that I did that...he said it’s a very “me” thing to do.

Thank you for all the wonderful cards I received this year. You brought me such joy! Even my postman gets into the pea card swap. He says he loves delivering “real” Christmas cards & looking at where all the cards are postmarked from.
Now for a confession: I misplaced 55 cards. I have no idea how. I make them over the course of a year, so I guess my memory is just not what it used to be. Well, I found the cards this morning when I got out the Christmas dishes. There they were right in the china cupboard. Now I do have a dedicated scrap room so I’m really not at all sure why I would think a china cupboard would be the appropriate place to store cards. So I guess I’ve got a start on next year’s cards. 😔

I just wanted to say again how very much I loved all of the cards I received after I bowed out of the group due to my DH's job loss right before Thanksgiving. I was shocked at how every day I'd go to the mailbox and there'd be more and more cards. It was as if it didn't matter to all of the Peas in the swap that I couldn't send cards out this year-I got cards anyway. How special is that? I felt so loved and cared about as I opened each very special card. I got cards from as far away as Ireland, New Zealand, and Austrailia many with hopes for the future written in them. All in all I think I received about 80 cards! You all were so generous and I want you to know how very thankful I am.
Your wishes must have worked...DH had an interview recently and got a job offer! He's going to be working in the I.T. department as a contractor (he usually does this) for the F.A.A. in Washington DC. He'll even be making more money than his last job so that's an added plus. His start date is January 6th. He'll have to commute from Annapolis to DC but he's done that before. He's very relieved and so am I.
So, thank you so much again for making our Christmas extra special and bright. Next year I will definatly still be in the Christmas card swap. I already have my design and the cardstock needed. I think this time I'll start buying the stamps throughout the year so I'll be all ready when November rolls around.

Woops, I meant DH is going to be working for the F.F.A,-the Federal Flight Admistration. Got mixed up on the initials above. He's a programmer.
Thanks so much for all of your well wishes and hopes for a better year next year. They mean so much.
Update: Too much wine for me on Christmas-I was right the first time. It is the FAA. Federal Aviation Administration.

Peas do stick together and I love so much how we support each other during the good and bad. This is an amazing group of women who I've been lucky to be a part of for the past 12, 13 or more years. It's been a long time (I truly can't remember how long) but our group seems to be getting better and better.

Thank you all who sent cards to me. They were all so wonderful and creative. I now understand why one could not send to everyone. There has to be a great expense in making all those fancy cards along with cost of postage. It has been fun and I've started thinking of what type of creative thing I can do for next year as I'm not a scrapper, so my artsy is limited. Thanks again for the Christmas Cheer!
