I have Prime but not sure how the book thing works. Can you explain how to get the free book? Do you get to keep the book or is it borrowed?

I took "Once Night Falls". I seem to be on a Nazi-era book binge lately.

I can’t decide between Nine Elms and In the Dark. Do I go with strong female lead, or a seemingly more twisted bad guy? Thank you for including our link 🙂 Sure! I never knew where to find it before, and I couldn’t find first reads in general on Amazon this time so I googled it and the blog had all 3, perfecto!

I went with If You Tell. Sounds disturbing, but I do love true crime.

Try to decide between light and fun (Holly Banks) or true crime (If You Tell). I wish this was one of those fun months where we could pick two.

Nine Elms for me. Anyone start it yet? I finally pulled the trigger and chose this one late last night/early this morning. Bad idea, I was really into it and finally had to put it down because my eyelids wouldn’t stay open. After a bathroom break I checked to see if he had any other books so I could put them on my wish list. Turns out he has a detective series I started when they were published on Kindle in 2016, featuring Detective Erika Foster. I got the first two read and liked them so much I created a collection on my Kindle for the series, but obviously got distracted because I did not realize there have been 4 more released. I know what I’m reading next! So, short story long, a definite recommend from me though I haven’t finished the book yet.

That is the one I picked too, the author has pretty great reviews on Goodreads. Glad to hear so far you like it. I am going to start it as soon as I finish the Shirley Jackson book I am reading.

I went with If You Tell, but I'm also interested in Nine Elms. I will keep an eye out for it at the library or pick it up later.

Ok, I’m feeling quite stupid! We have amazon prime so I thought I would download one of the books but it states “this app does not support purchases”. I’m in the Amazon app. I don’t have the kindle app so I thought it meant that so I downloaded it and tried to purchase that way, but that didn’t work either. So how the heck do I get one of the free books?!
