I was there! The employees were wonderful and most of the customers were too. One customer lost her mind but the employees handled it very well.

We had to replace one of our cars and we got the Hyundai Kona. I love that car! Great gas mileage and lots of zip.

Bless you. I didn’t go through what you’re going through but my little grandsons are. Their father, who is my son, is an alcoholic and doesn’t see them for months at a time. It kills me. But no amount of talking, offering help etc. makes any difference yet.
I have a great relationship with his former wife and see my grandsons as often as I can. (I live on the west coast and they live on the east coast)
I wish you all the best in your search.
Hugs

Sunscreens that aren’t reef safe will be banned in Hawaii in the next year or so. I was just there. These brands all had labels that said reef safe. So, either the abc store is being sneaky or you’re incorrect. Unless these brands have changed drastically they are simply changing the labels. We’ve talked at length with the staff at our hotel and most of the mainstream sunscreens are not reef safe.

I was just there and if you go into the ABC store they have some and it's only $10ish per bottle. They had neutrogena, coppertone, and other well known brands. Neutrogena, Coppertone and other well known brands are not reef safe. Brands like Raw Elements, Badger and more are reef safe and while they are definitely more expensive, they are safe for coral and better for people too.

I really like Divine Chocolate, like some of the above it’s fair trade, organic and lots of flavors!

A few years ago they made Hershey's Kisses that were filled with the chocolate covered cherries filling (minus the cherry). I loved those things! I've never seen them again. That reminds me, I need to pick up a box of Chocolate Covered Cherries. My dad always bought me a box every year when I was little and it's been a tradition since then. I love those because they remind me of my mom. Target carries them if you have access to one!

We just put vinyl plank in our kitchen and family room and we love it! We have 3 small dogs and it holds up beautifully to them. We used CoreTec vinyl planks.

I live very close to San Francisco and this picture is what it’s been like here for about a week. It is horrible. I can’t imagine what it’s like in the area of the fires.
This is worse than the fires in Santa Rosa/Napa fires last year and those fires were much closer to us.
What a a nightmare for everyone in this area and in Southern California too.

Our son was diagnosed around that age. I had been asking teachers and doctors for years and everyone thought I was ridiculous for even thinking about it. He’s not hyperactive but quite inattentive and that’s why he fell through the cracks.
It was a huge relief when he was diagnosed. He took concerta for a couple of years and the difference was astounding. After a couple of years he decided he didn’t want to continue taking it so he stopped. He’s 28 now and struggling to figure out life. We suspect strongly that he’s dealing with more, possibly depression or bipolar. He refuses to acknowledge anything going on but he’s self medicating with excessive drinking which has now cost him his marriage and hurts his ability to be a good father to his 2 little boys. We are heartbroken.
He doesn’t want to get help or take medication for the ADD and is beyond stubborn about it.

Once many years ago we were sailing in the Caribbean and a pod of dolphins swam along with us, one of my favorite memories ever!
Thank you for sharing this!

I'm struggling today too because my 5 year old grandson started kindergarten today and my son wasn't there for that. He and his wife are divorced now and he rarely sees his two darling little boys even though they live in the same community. My son is too busy working and drinking and partying to be much of a dad at all and that kills me. We have a very good relationship with our daughter in law and I'm so thankful for that. But my son breaks our heart.

Ferry! Our favorite way to go to the ballpark. You can catch it in Larkspur in Marin County and park right there. It takes you directly to the park.

Maui! My favorite place ever! There's so much to see and do there. If you stay in West Maui you can see two other islands, Molokai and Lanai. The snorkeling is great there, many places to hike and fabulous restaurants and shops. We go for a family reunion each summer and never get tired of it.
I've been to Oahu and love that Island too, but Maui is truly my favorite.

We have a Bosch with the 3rd rack and love it. It doesn't seem to take space away from the shelf below it. We had two dishwashers from GE before that and we will never go back to that again.
