Orange - bleck, ack - hate it. Put it with green?
It worked. I'll be using this color wheel over and over to push me out of my black, white, red layouts.
ok - this layout REALLY tells a story - i just love it, gramma!!

I don't think I could make the switch. The scrapbooking industry is barely hanging on and SC is the only option right now. Remember when Stacy Julian had different colors for her categories? Now it's impossible to find some colors in the more popular 12x12. I've been scrapping since 1995 and exclusively did 8.5x11. I switched to 12x12 albums a few years ago for family albums only. I use divided sheet protectors, so it's still scrapping in small areas. My life is boring and random, so this solution works for me. I don't want to take the time to make an entire page about most things anymore. good point. i considered the state of the scrapbooking industry too, when thinking this over. i decided that if i make the change, i'm going to order in bulk so i am set for several years. i'm not a highly prolific scrapper as i still keep classic, photo safe, photo albums for the large bulk of my photos. so should the 9x12 albums disappear entirely, i'll still be ok .

Another question. For those of you who love and have been using the 9x12, can you give me an idea of about how many PPs fit in one album? ( anniefb , QueSeraSera , Skellinton and everyone else!!) I tend to have moderately "flat" pages - some embellishments but not a ton.

I’m on my second year of project life in a 9x12. It was an adjustment from 12x12 as you need to be a bit more selective with photos, but size wise I love the look of it and find it much less cumbersome. (As a side note- I have started printing small softcover photobooks for events, otherwise I wouldn’t get a year in my album. I love how they turn out though and I can use all my photos). I’ve just emailed WRMK asking too. I’m in Australia and it’s really expensive to get SC album and protectors shipped here. Oh and if you have a fuse, trim down BH design A on the left side (so you cut the holes off) but leave enough to make a new hole section. Then you can punch 4 holes and not have 3 already there. thanks for the advice on modifying the BH Design A

So I gave in on 6:14pm on 2/5 and ordered the stamp set with a $5 code + the 2 chipboard sets that are new. I received my kit TODAY at noon. They have to be slow AF in the shipping department for me to get it that quick. is the $5 code only for the stamp, mom?

i agree - the aesthetic is pleasing . (but - i see that spidery, disjointed script on the stamp...)

this is exactly what we need...like Skellinton said: how do we get the attention of another company to get this to happen? I emailed WRMK and actually got a nice response in just about an hour. They said they are always looking for new products their customers are interested in. Maybe pea power can make them see the light? It doesn’t hurt to try! I just told them that it was a great size that was more manageable then 12x12 and I regularly bought them from SC, but would like more options and to be able to buy them in person from a big box store or my local craft stores that already carry other WRMK products. this is just fabulous!!! let us know the email you used - i will certainly contact them, as well!

i know i'll never do 12x12 again; it has never worked for me other than when i did traditional scrap layouts; and even then - it was getting to be too much. i love 6x8 for DD and theme albums, but really, really want more 9x12 options. thanks for all the feedback, everyone!

Bottom line someone besides Studio Calico needs to make some 9x12 albums and protectors with 3 rings!!! this is exactly what we need...like Skellinton said: how do we get the attention of another company to get this to happen?

how many pages typically fit in the SC 9x12? i do moderately flat scrapping - not too bulky. Skellinton I understand what you're saying about AE; my thing is that she's the person who gets most of my online business and somehow manages to provide better CS, even under the inked brand. but i'd love to see AC/WRMK or any good quality company start making these ongoing! eta: how often do SC page protectors go on sale? i've never noticed because i've never bought PP from them.

i have never used a 9x12 album, but i feel like it seems like the right size for me. however, i'd love to hear any and all feedback on this before i make the switch. first and foremost - is SC the only place to buy them? what is the quality of theirs? if you've used this size, what are your thoughts - pros and cons? (i would love to see AE carry this size, katiejaeger.) i guess i'm interested in ALL feedback about the 9x12 .

I would TOTALLY BUY a square cornered kit of Currently. I actually just relocated my hoard of PL branded round cornered products to one place. I had previously kept them in 2 spots. 1 on top of my Kallax and the other in a cubby tucked away under my scrappy desk. I finally got a 2 step ladder for dirt cheap (walked right past it at WinCo because who would think you'd find a ladder at a grocery store...my husband was the one who pointed it out...the ones I had looked at that had the higher weight limit were in the $40+ range and this one was $13.37) after looking periodically for years and now I can organize the hard to reach stuff! Yay! I have 20 core kits, 6 or 7 mini kits and at least 10 value kits (they are not currently in my line of sight). I sure do hope that my kids have some fun creative projects to do in school in the next 16 years so I can put a dent in some of it. Sheesh! exactly my thought. if her cards/kits had been square cornered years ago, i think it would have helped her business a lot. i'd buy every single liz tamanaha PL kit that ever has or will come out IF there were square corners...which she has finally switched to. she asked for input for what customers want on her IG story about michael's. i posted this about liz and square corners after listening. but is it too little, too late?

Yes - the peroxide. Oh my goodness. Again, I feel embarrassed for her. She simply doesn't seem to grasp that her customers are well-informed, intelligent people, for the most part. I mean, seriously - I work in medicine, too - but I sure don't need that degree to get out a bloodstain.

Thanks, ladies, for the feedback. You see, I have a Silhouette that I bought in 2012 and have never plugged it in. I just am not tech skilled and it overwhelms me. But it's also a good question by streetscrapper - do I want to start investing in dies? This is why I'm unsure what to do. Maybe I won't use die cuts at all if I've gone this many years without using any.

I have a Big Shot just purchased from the Tuesday Morning sale. But now that I have it, I'm really wondering if I'll use it. It seems to me it's more for traditional scrapping, card making, etc. Please tell me your thoughts on this. Maybe there are lots of ways to use die cuts in Pocket Scrapping and I'm stuck in the box .

Becky posted about this again, she finally got the box together to send them and has an instagram post (not story) about the package she's sending. She's sending the book she made, some wrapping paper, notebooks and all about me kits for each of their kids. when i saw that IG post last night, i felt physically uncomfortable - it is so inappropriate. i assumed she had healthier boundaries - this is violating both personal and professional boundaries. the content of her post was similar to what you'd read on the IG of a struggling adolescent.

Is the SBTM kit supposed to come in the AE plastic envelope? I received mine last month in just paper and cellophane bags - and now the same again this month. However - there was one empty AE plastic pouch included. I thought this month's kit would be in the plastic pouch with an extra one for last month? Can anybody clarify for me?

Anybody else notice how large some of them are? I mean, height. I guess because they're shorter words and could still fit in the pocket? I have December, January, February, March, April, June, and July. June is HUGE while December is a little less than half the height. but you're not looking to sell any of yours, correct, dawnnikol ?

Out of all the phrases listed, the only one I don’t use (either in real life, scrapbooking, or both) is rad. But I know quite a few twenty-somethings that do use rad. I’m in Michigan, I don’t know if it’s regional or not. I know I say ‘totally’ a lot, and regularly type for the win/FTW. I use the word ‘super’ a stupid amount. Progress not perfection is frequently used among people who workout and for goal setting/assessment. I do a monthly currently layout, and can think of several layouts I’ve done that used ‘around here’. I think ‘stories matter’ is versatile enough to be used in any page with journaling, and it would be very appropriate on a “why I scrapbook’ page. Not saying that those who don’t use those terms don’t have a totally valid point, because they should absolutely have their voices heard, too. But I bet it’s difficult to try to come up with phrases and products that are universal enough to please people across different regions in the US and the world, and people that can have very different lifestyles. i (very respectfully) disagree on this, in that there are many, many phrases on ali's stamps, cards, etc, that are very universal. it's the ones that you and i both mentioned (rad, super love, for the win, etc) that i believe are quite specific to a personality and/or an age demographic. those are the phrases i would like to see a lot less of.

I'm obviously new to her kits so I don't know her usual phrases. My only issue is that her "theme phrase" isn't really just a theme. It is on almost every single piece of the kit so that makes it harder to use. But I know others make it work for them so it is probably just not for me. (and who knows -maybe it was just this particular kit that didn't resonate with me) I do really like the idea of having her videos along with the kit though. I think that's what helped me complete my DD. Her prompts help me out when I get bored. PS- Wanted to add: I was shocked at how much thicker her cards are compared to my PL cards. Way better quality! @sunny116 - if you are referring to the class videos - they are wonderful! i believe the videos people are referring to are the kit/product videos that tend to be in place of “listing” the complete and accurate contents of her kits.

there was a WRMK 3x4 punch, which i own. it’s two pieces - you place your paper/photo on the bottom half and then attach the top - it’s magnetic. it’s just ok. i wouldn’t buy it again. heavy tool, sometimes hard to line up top and bottom, and leaves holes in the area outside the 3x4 punched material.

I know it has been mentioned several times that Ali uses a fair amount of sayings or phrases that seem "her style" vs being more universal. I agree with this sentiment. If anyone is interested in offering constructive feedback, I think it would be good to list some of those phrases here. I'll start my list and please feel free to add your thoughts. I'll tag katiejaeger as I know you keep track of feedback, Katie. Phrases that seem "Ali specific" to me 1) "Bring on the ______" 2) Anything including "totally" ie: "You can totally do this" 3) Phrases including "super” ie: "Super love this story" 4) "For the win" 5) Anything including the word "Rad" I want to be clear that I am a longtime, satisfied AE customer. I am currently subbed to two of her monthly kits. I just want to provide helpful feedback; knowing that others will have differing opinions. But it's a start, right?!

I'm torn on the single sided cards--I didn't like having to choose one side over the other, but there are times I don't like a side so I was happy to be done with it...now I'll have more to store & more to decide what to do with because I'm not sure I'll ever use it because of color/saying/design. Maybe I'll just set aside ones I know I am very unlikely to use and stamp on the plain white side... i understand what you're saying. for me, i love plain white cards that don't have a grid or lines on them. i can use them with a simple embellishment and it looks so clean and minimalist. in fact, a few weeks back, i was telling my sister that i wish someone would sell plain white journal card sets in the 3x4 size, especially.
