I was just curious what websites irritate you when you use them.
I get irritated by Instacart for Food Lion. The search feature sucks sometimes, it's always asking me to rate the shopper, and right now it's not letting me add anything to an existing order. I wonder if it's better shopping with other stores, but that's all I got around here.
Kohl's also drives me bonkers. I think their filter feature sucks. I hate searching through pants for instance and Junior pants and maternity pants keep getting in the mix. I really don't understand why NFL gear is a big market for them, but I scroll by that.
So there's my petty irritations for Friday. Do you have any?

If Kohl’s is bad (and it is) then JoAnn’s is worse. And their filters are equally annoying. I can never find what I’m looking for even after scrolling through a dozen pages of stuff.

Not a particular site, but I HATE, HATE, HATE the stories that drag out with putting a "next" between dozens of paragraphs or sentences of the story. So, I never get to the actual information I wanted.

British Airways. Yes I know we’re not using it much at the mo but we have just had a trip cancelled for the second time and we were looking to see about re-booking in the late autumn. Anyway - if you do a search it brings up a list of possibilities but when you’ve clicked on one to look at more info then try to go back, more often than not you have to fill in the search criteria again 😠

I once commented on Emily Henderson's blog that it had such excellent content but that it was difficult to access it because of all the monetization from pop-up ads--an unusually frustrating experience. A hand-slapper criticized me for not realizing that bloggers need to make a living yadda yadda. There are other blogs out there that are monetized to the hilt and they manage to do this in a less obtrusive and annoying way.
Another website is Better Homes & Gardens. Oy! Navigating that place is too much work.

I hate blogs that have recipes but you have to scroll thru so much unimportant stuff just to get to the recipe.

Recipe blogs. I don’t need to know your whole life story, and the history of the recipe and all of its ingredients with 5,000 photos before actually giving me the recipe. It takes longer to scroll through all of that crap than it does making the meal!

Kohl's and Joann's drive me nuts. I hate using their mobile sites. Unless I know exactly what I'm looking for on Joann's site, I'd rather just go to the store and see what they have on hand.
I hate recipe blogs. So many stupid stories, ad after ad, links to other recipes before I even get to the recipe. If I can print it out without the blog, I will just to get away from the constant flashing and videos. I miss the old days of simple blogs.
My bank's mobile site sucks and their app has not been updated to work with certain phones.

All websites that offer reviews, but conduct no product testing and are basically just a compilation of the top selling items on Amazon.

I hate blogs that have recipes but you have to scroll thru so much unimportant stuff just to get to the recipe. YES!!! I don't want to see a dozen or more close ups of the meal from every possible angle. I also am not particularly interested in the backstory of the recipe. Good thing most recipe blogs now have a link that lets you jump to the recipe instead of scrolling forever.

Any blogs that are just bombarded with ads and a pop up immediately asking you to enter your email to subscribe. I came here for one recipe or activity ... if I like your stuff I will subscribe. If you have too many bulky video ads, that's a no!! Same with recipe posts that are too wordy before the recipe. They say they do this for Google algorithms but man. I just want to toddler activity or recipe please.

I need the information. A caveat is for helpful videos, like how to remove the door from your oven without breaking your foot, or something like that. But for a normal story, I want to read it. Not listen to it.

I will immediately click out of any website that pops up a discount offer, where you must choose to either sign up and save, or "no thanks, I like paying full price" (or any other condescending version of that). I stopped shopping the Loft online entirely because of that damn popup.

I follow "GOD" on Facebook, but whenever I click on one of his links, I get so irritated by the ridiculous amount of ads. The content doesn't seem to load until all of the ads are displayed. Yes, I know even "GOD" has to make a living, but there are so many ads and video ads on his page that I don't even read the articles anymore. Instead, I read the comments on his FB page.

Amazon and their ratings. I was looking for something the other day and every one of them had reviews for lots of other items that company sells mixed in. So the 70% rating does not mean a damn thing if it's for 6 different things. Just means I won't order from that company. That sucks.

Fox News. Not because of their views, but because their website has so many moving parts it drives me crazy. I go there once in awhile to read what they are talking about, but every article has a video that plays automatically, and some you can’t stop early or you can’t even turn off the sound. There are pop ups and the page is always moving. Drives me and my computer nuts just trying to read an article.

Home Depot. For some reason they need to know my location every time I click to a new page.
I also hate sites that have so many buttons I can’t see the actual content, and they’re positioned horribly. For example, the Chat button in the middle-right side of the screen and social media buttons on the middle-left side, in addition to the ads and such at the top and bottom.

Sometimes I have to look up what aisle an item is located in while I'm inside Home Depot and their mobile website stinks...
Amazon when I only want to see Prime items and I click the box, and every time I look at something else the Prime box unclicks itself. The same for seeing reviews by date and not most popular and that using Amazon Smile is not the default.

I think Amazon's search feature pulls up way too many other items than what I’m requesting. If I’ve put in a specific brand of something, I want to see those items, not twelve other brands of a similar item.

Kohl's is the absolute worst. I would order from them more often if not for that.
I had to use Sears for something the other day. First time I ever used their website and it wasn't that great.
Our grocery store site is pretty good but the search feature doesn't narrow down the selection as much as I'd like. Chicken breasts gets me all results with chicken. No, I only want results for CHICKEN BREASTS. Not dog food with chicken.

Last time I tried to use it, JCPenney's website was so slow and hard to navigate that I gave up. Maybe it's better now? But I gave up searching there after having one to many bad experiences trying to use it. I've been getting ads for Maurice's on FB and liked a couple of things, so I clicked through. But then I found that when you click on something like Loungewear, it displays the results as outfits/collections, rather than just showing me all the tops, all the bottoms, etc. I'm not a fan of this. I hate websites where you think it's finished loading, you click a link, but it's apparently still loading and then you end up at the wrong link.

I hate blogs that have recipes but you have to scroll thru so much unimportant stuff just to get to the recipe. Yes, especially if you're looking up a recipe on your phone. I like ones that put "jump to recipe" for those of us who don't need 97 photos of a bowl of chopped onions and a video on how it was done.

Oh gosh, I was literally just swearing out loud at a website the other day and I can’t remember which one it was! It will come to me.
I agree that Kohl’s is awful. Old Navy can be glitchy, as well.

I'm tired of websites that don't understand math.
AMAZON. If I selected the $25 and under filter, I don't want to see a $35 item.
And ETSY. If I sort by lowest price to highest price, I may as well not even bother because every third line of results is sponsored/ad products that are priced well above what's around them.

Running adblock & noscript means most of these aren't visible.
You could try one/both of those or others.

Ulta, it logs me out constantly. I don’t know if the issue is their website or my iPad but after being logged out every time I click on something on their site, I leave and go to Sephora’s website where I never have any problems and am always logged in.
