My brother is still here and I think my two grandsons will be here for dinner tonight. I'm making sausage and knephla, sautéed broccolini and i just made oatmeal Craisin cookies for dessert. What are you cooking today?

Chicken noodle & veggie soup made with the leftover chicken stock (there's already more brewing in the crockpot ... gotta keep this stuff moving!) and roasted chicken. Plus these cheddar bay biscuits that I think someone here posted. ETA I bought half a flat of beautiful strawberries the other day, so we'll have strawberry something for dessert.

We're lame. It's a Sunday that the boys are going back to their Dad's so dinner is often something quick and easy and usually frozen or canned Tonight it will likely be soup with biscuits.

I've just put Indian butter chicken in the crockpot. I'm hoping this will be a successful crockpot recipe (I've still to fall in love with it). I'll serve it will garlic naan and sauteed kale.

I'm going to try making Chicken in Caper Cream Sauce. I have mashed potatoes to with it, but I also just remembered I have an acorn squash so maybe I will make that, too. And some corn.

For the third night in a row, left over casserole. I did't want to waste the food, so I have been doctoring it a bit each night. I am so sick of that flipping casserole that if I hadn't finished it tonight, I would have thrown it out, waste or no waste.
*gag*

We're having crispy chicken drumsticks, mashed potatoes w/buttermilk & chives, and steamed fresh peas & carrots. Should be ready within the next 30 minutes, and I'm hungry!

I bought a Groupon for a Lebanese restaurant and it expires today so I am having bouillabaisse and chicken farrouj. I will taste the chicken and just have them box it up for lunch. I am driving and don't have even one drink when I am behind the wheel so to get my monies worth two entrees it is!

Hubby got back from Las Vegas today so I had Korean bibimbap ready. For those of you that don't know what it is, here's a picture: I was going to try and make sausage and peppers but the recipe said 4 hours! I want to try it next weekend because I bought some chicken jalapeño sausages from Costco that I think will work well. That looks like this: The recipe is here: www.food.com/recipe/dublin-coddle-irish-sausage-bacon-onion-and-potato-hotpot-288885

I think most use those synonymously but I think shepherd's pie is typically made with lamb while cottage pie is made with beef. I have a really good cottage pie recipe I inherited from an English co-worker. It does take a long time, especially if you're making the mashed potatoes from scratch. I make it about 3-4 times a year and it's always a hit. lucyg - If linda doesn't share her recipe, let me know if you're interested in mine and I'll post it but it may not be until next weekend.
