What is one cleaning job you would hire out if you could?
I don't mind cleaning - I find it really relaxing and I love a clean home. But if I could hire out one job, it would be someone to clean the showers. I HATE cleaning showers (and can you guess what I am having to do today?). Our Master Bath shower stays pretty clean. But man, DH has a shower off of the back garage for when he is filthy from working in his shop and as a result, the shower is filthy. Granted, it wouldn't be so bad if I cleaned it more regularly but I dont think about this shower often since DH is the only one who uses it.
So whats your one chore that you would gladly hire out?

Washing floors. But it would need to be done my way. Hands andneeds, fresh water bucket and a rinse pail . I now use wet swifter pads , because I can thrown those away.

I don’t know if it counts as cleaning, but, I loathe laundry. I would happily do everything else if I could farm out laundry.

I learned over Christmas that not everyone uses a fresh water bucket. I thought it was something everyone did until I was at my SIL and she just used one bucket. I asked where her clean water was and she acted like I had a third eye. I told DH after we left that its a good thing I didnt realize she used dirty water to mop or our kids would never have been allowed to learn to walk over there! (Im only kidding...kinda!)

I'd hire out the showers and tubs, too. And if I was stinking rich, I'd have one person whose job was to keep hair off my bathroom floor -- that's my nemesis cleaning job. I love doing laundry, tenacious. Too bad we can't trade off.

Ummmm, I think I must be doing it wrong too I have a dedicated mop bucket and use it with soap to wash all the floors. Are you saying you go over the soap with plain water to like rinse the floors?

No - I've always had 1 mop bucket with clean water + soap. And then a second bucket to wring out the yucky water. (I realize now I worded it weird in my comment earlier). My SIL had one bucket with soap and water in it. She would mop and then wring the nasty water into the bucket that already had soap in it. Then use it again on the floor. So she is mopping with dirty water after she wrings out the mop the first time.

Floors, due to my back issues. I get pretty sore after mopping. Actually, most cleaning can make me sore if I do it for too long.

I agree, I hate cleaning showers and tubs! But if I had to choose I would hire someone to come wash my windows. I never minded it in my old house but this house has so many windows that are tall it's just a huge pain with ladders and a squee gee on a long pole to do them. So I hate doing them and never do them and they really need to be done!

Dusting. No one with dust allergies should step foot in my house. My house looks like Miss Havisham's (From Great Expectations) abode right now. I try to keep up with the vacuuming but it does bother my back after a day of cleaning. Whine..Whine..Whine, woe is me. Does anyone want to contribute to my GO FUND ME account so that I can afford a cleaning lady?

Hard to come up with just one! I kinda like cleaning, the problem is my hip and back hate it. Hubby does the dusting which I would not mind doing. He also does the vacuuming unless I want it done right. Then when younger daughter comes (about twice a month) she does the bathroom. I cannot do the bathroom as my back and hip would put me in the recliner for a week on pain meds. So, I don't have to do much now days. But back before the family stepped in to help, the cleaning really wasn't an issue. I love, love a clean home. The thing I am most reluctant to do is the laundry. There is only my clothes to do as hubby does his own. Yet, I find it hard to make myself do it. I'll go two weeks if possible and wear every single pair of pants I have before I'll start my laundry.
ETA: about that mopping business. I too only use one bucket. But you are supposed to change the water when it gets dirty. I would mop until the mop water would not get dirty. That meant going over certain parts of the floor several times and changing the mop water several times. If I wiped something off the floor, like a spill, then the cloth I used should not get dirty from dirt - just from the item spilled. I kept my floors CLEAN and never considered using more than one mop bucket.

The kitchen floor. I sweep often and spot clean, but I think a good clean is hands and knees with a brush, a grout brush, towels and Yes! clean water for rinsing.
BTW - I love, love, love to vacuum.

I wish I had the money to hire someone once a year to do a thorough spring cleaning of the whole house... then I would just keep up with dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms and mopping a few times a month.
I hate spring cleaning!!!! But it always looks and smells so nice and fresh when I'm done!

Every single one of them. I swear, cleaning just fills me with existential dread. Scrubbing floors and cleaning the same shit over and over leaves me cursing the banality and futility of life. I should stop cleaning while wearing a beret, chain smoking and listening to The Cure.😜
Things like organizing and cooking don't bother me as much, because somehow it still feels like I am creating or making sense of something. It's the daily machinery of cleaning that often leaves me screaming "why am I still doing this? When does it end!!?"
But if I had to pick one, it is washing the floors. 😁

Definitely cleaning the kitchen floor. I hate doing it, which means that it doesn't get done as often as it should and then it is worse than it would be if I did it more often. Ugh. I need to do it this weekend. I don't want to.

The entire bathroom. I can’t stand to clean them but I hate to have them dirty. Maybe that’s my problem, I feel like I’m cleaning them all the time.

Windows would be my first choice. Master bath or at least the shower would be second.

I can't pick just one. As a pp said, all of them. I think from cleaning all these years, I just got burnt on cleaning. It takes moments for it to become unclean. lol Dust, and then 5 minutes later, walk by the tv and it already has dust collecting on it. Ugg! My mom was a stay at home mom and she used a toothbrush to clean ever nook and cranny. I worked, but I too used a toothbrush and q-tips on my antiques that had lots of grooves, woodwork, blinds, etc. Oiled the wood often to keep it from cracking. I was always trying to make sure my house stood up to my mother's standards. I finally threw that expectation away and said so be it. It is clean, but you might find dust bunnies from time to time and maybe I forgot to vacuum/clean the blades on the ceiling fan, but I don't take it so serious in my elder years.

Laundry or bathrooms. I guess I can’t complain about laundry since my husband and boys do most of it now.
The thing that bothers me the most are all the little tings that constantly break and need fixing in an old house
