Ummmm, I think I must be doing it wrong too I have a dedicated mop bucket and use it with soap to wash all the floors. Are you saying you go over the soap with plain water to like rinse the floors? No - I've always had 1 mop bucket with clean water + soap. And then a second bucket to wring out the yucky water. (I realize now I worded it weird in my comment earlier). My SIL had one bucket with soap and water in it. She would mop and then wring the nasty water into the bucket that already had soap in it. Then use it again on the floor. So she is mopping with dirty water after she wrings out the mop the first time. That's exactly how I mop the floor.

I don't love cleaning but I love living in a clean home, dirt and mess spark anxiety. I can't think of any job that I hate enough to get someone else to do it. I don't even mind dusting, it gives me a chance to rearrange and move things around, I like that.

Do those of you that hate cleaning the shower have a hand held shower head in there? Once I had one of those, cleaning the shower became a breeze! Yes. But it's not the rinsing part that's hard for me, it's the physical scrubbing.

Window washing. I have 35 windows, plus doors. Each window has a storm window on the outside also, so you have to take those out to wash (two windows, plus a screen) and then the regular window they cover - so it doubles the amount to be washed. Most of those have 3 small panes on the top have and a big window on the bottom half.
It takes a week to get them all done - not to mention the top floor ones need a telehandler to get me up there. Too high up for a ladder. I used to them in the spring and fall. Now I do them... occasionally. LOL I hate looking out dirty windows!
I'd pay any price to have them done. I just can't find anyone that does it.

I've never heard of this before either. But it makes since. I always had to change the water + soap mix for each room because it would be nasty.
Now I use a steam mop and I still change the pad per room, but so much easier.

As to cleaning, I hate all forms of cleaning, but I don't mind organizing things. Now if I could get the family on board with the organization and putting things back. If they did, I might not mind the cleaning part so much.
But the one chore would be windows and mirrors. I make DH do them as I refuse. However, I like clean windows and would hire it out if I could so they would be done at least once a month instead of once a year.

Do you use a steam mop on wood floors? If so, do you add some kind of cleaner to the water? Is there a steam mop that you would recommend? The cleaning job I detest is washing the floors! I’m another one who needs to live in a zen and clean environment to be happy, but that doesn’t mean that I enjoy the actual cleaning. In my mind, the constant and endless cycle of cleaning is proof that there is no god.

I would gladly do everyone's laundry to have someone do my floors and shower.

I’ve been watching Angela Brown on YouTube. She’s a professional house cleaner and has figured out the best way to clean EVERYTHING. I hate doing it but I hate it less when I am doing it the best way possible.

Floors. This job bothers my back.
I love to do laundry. It was always my escape from my ex and children because my laundry room is in the basement.

Windows for sure. I have 46 windows in my house and most of them have small separated panes. (Yes, you read that right.... 46.) My house is a 100 year old bungalow that has a sunporch across the front, a converted to an office sunporch in back and a walk-out basement level room in back that has the same sun-porch style windows. Plus all the regular windows and 4 windowed doors. Yes, please, I need someone to do windows for me!

My husband and I split the housework. Of the few actual cleaning jobs I have (since I cook and do laundry), I would say dusting. I haven't ever cleaned a bathroom toilet or shower, but I think that would be on my list if I had.

No, I don't have wood floors at the new to us house. I use the Bona system for wood floors, except I add in a swiffer sweeper before the bona cleaner. Then the bona polish every 6 months or year depending upon the floor and my laziness. I'm a huge fan of the Bona Hardwood system and have used it for years.

Scrubbing our back bathroom. It really needs to be remodeled. The shower door doesn't even close all the way. When we bought the house the shower was not in great shape and now it's just BAD. So, I'd hire someone to scrub the shower. Dh does it, but it's almost pointless. Yes, a new shower is about to be ordered.
