OH MY, THOSE SNEAKS! pancakes Can I post these photos in the DD 2020 thread that's about to start? Sorry I didn’t see this, but of course...you don’t have to ask! They’re not sitting on my servers, ha.

The sneaks are marvelous! Very excited about the IACB Christmas peek (and I’m not a crazy Christmas person!).
There are no sneaks or hints of the August release though? Maybe I missed it.

I was very happy to get the sneaks email for the holiday release in July. Having that much notice is really helpful for budgeting. Good thinking and thoughtful on Elise’s part. I love the IACB Christmas sneaks.

I just received my IACB More Please kit and damn, I'm disappointed with the quality of the ephemera. I understand that the ephemera is only a small part but by the time I pay international shipping and then customs, they aren't quite $2.50 any more. The print quality and the cutting just sucks - my 'Food Coma' piece is one of many that's just going in the trash. It looks like it was printed on a home printer, and cut out by hand. Infact, I ordered two sets and I actually think it has been cut out by hand as looking at the same piece in another set, you can see the yellow guideline where the machine would have cut it - if it was cut by machine. What the heck. I am going to drop Elise an email as it's really, really poor. If I wanted this quality, I'd buy digitals and cut it out myself and save myself the ££ on shipping and customs.

Girl, what happened there? FYC is a premium kit. Colour me shocked. I literally have no idea. I've sent a polite email but I'm not going to lie - I'm a more than a little raging. This kit isn't cheap and by the time I pay shipping and fees its like a £50 kit for a stamp and some bits of printed cardstock. I can only assume that due to COVID-19, something has happened in production, and Elise and some family members have had to sit and cut them out by hand to get them out to customers on time.

I just had a response from Elise and she refunded me the cost of one of the packs of ephemera.
She pushed back and said that they have been manufactured in the US and are not 'cut by hand' but I don't know about that. They've been cut poorly, however they were done.
I tried to level with her and said it wasn't the quality I was used to from FYC and hoped to be reassured that I wouldn't have these issues in the future but was told to purchase digitals instead to avoid disappointment.
Sigh. you can't win 'em all. Happy with the stamps and the cards, though and will think twice before ordering again.

I would have expected at the minimum a refund of both packs and frankly seeing who the kit is from I would have thought she would offered to send you replacements as well. Telling you to purchase digitals to avoid disappointment? What N April response. I actually didn’t take mine out of the bag yet, but I will today so I can see what mine look like. It looks like a poor scan and cut job. I wonder if she sources them out, if so she should be handling it with who ever produces them. That is not ok.

peachiceteas That sounds like a bit of a chilly response from Elise. That die-cut looks really poorly cut. Weird to tell your customers (especially loyal ones like you) to buy digital and DIY to "avoid disappointment" in the future.

Weird to tell your customers (especially loyal ones like you) to buy digital and DIY to "avoid disappointment" in the future. Yes I felt the chill too. I have typed several responses back but just deleted before sending because I can’t be bothered. I feel like I’m letting my emotions get in the way. It’s just not good enough. Her excuse was that the ‘larger’ die cuts packs (ie. the Tourist Mode) die cuts are produced in China (and assumably on a larger scale) but to include small packs of die cuts, she has them done in the US. I just don’t understand why she wouldn’t try and make them of the same quality. It’s damaging to her brand. I imagine it doesn’t matter what I think because her kits fly off the shelves like hot cakes. It’s a real shame. I would urge anyone who got the kit to have another look at their die cuts and check they’re happy with the quality of the cutting. They honestly look like they’ve been cut with scissors and I could have done a better job at home. I hope I’ll be able to tidy some of them up myself.

I asked her not to send me replacements as I don’t think it will solve the issue. I suppose I would have liked more than $2.50 refunded, and a less icy response. I would have like to have felt genuinely heard and reassured. Instead, it sounds like she has no intention of improving the locally made die cuts.

Yes I felt the chill too. I have typed several responses back but just deleted before sending because I can’t be bothered. I feel like I’m letting my emotions get in the way. She could've apologised and offered a $5 to the shop on top since you've bought plenty from her in the past. Or refund shipping. KP's dodgy CS replies are way nicer and more agreeable than this exchange with Elise. In the end, like you said, you'll think twice before placing an order. It would've been way easier and more profitable to express more sympathy on her side of things. It's far easier to keep a client than to gain one.

sleepingbooty Skellinton Thank you ladies for your support. Means a lot, and reassures me I am not being unreasonable! I will just make sure when I purchase from her again that they look tip-top in the photos. Looking at them again you can tell from the photo they’re not quite the same as what she has had before.

I'm sorry that was the response you got. Thanks for the heads up to check the die cuts. Mine look ok, but that the blade could've been sharper. I compared these die cuts to the Tourist Mode ones. Those were clearly printed on a different printer and paper — the paper is matte, not the satin look the cards are printed on. Those def look super professionally cut, too. The

Sometimes when I’m typing, I hit the shift instead of the “a” and end up with a capitalized letter instead of the word I wanted to type. Maybe that’s what happened?

Mine look ok but I am confused about what she told peachiceteas. Elise has stated multiple times that she isn't willing to sell digitals of the die cuts so how were you supposed to get those?

I really liked her, too. No excuse, but I wonder how many emails she's getting about this? Still no excuse. I like Elise. Correction... I love Elise. I think her designs, and those who she works with, are awesome and a breath of fresh scrapbooking air. But I don't love her journal cards. Love the designs, not the paper she uses. And yeah, I could get digitals, but my set up is too wonky to rely on that. I haven't gotten anything in months anyway since my scrappy desire vanished, without a trace. Anyway, I'm sorry to hijack. She was wrong! I'm sorry that happened.
