Elise has a new book kit out today. Books as a theme has been done to death, but as its by IACB of course its a lovely kit! I'm not affiliated in any way, I just know that usually IACB kits sell out fast and if anyone is interested I didn't want you to miss out. I bought one and if I decide I don't need it, may sell on FB. I like that it comes with die cuts and multi - coloured puffy stickers in a simple clean font. shop.feedyourcraft.com/

I saw that and normally jump at every FYC kit but I'm over the book theme unfortunately (especially since I don't have a spare minute to get into a book right now anyway).

I ordered it first thing this morning, and STILL missed out on the extra diecuts! I love making TNs about my fav books, so I tend to buy anything book related.... it can be a bit repetitive, but I'm ok with that

Love it and bought it. I can't resist reading themes.
For those of you who know FYC, is this the monthly kit release? Or is it a specialty kit? I'm on the hunt for a monthly PL kit, but these seems VERY themed.

Its a lovely kit. I only bought one of the stamp sets. Of all the bookish stamp sets I own I don’t have a single one with the words “started” & “finished” which I need for my book planner.

I also have a ton of book pictures to scrap. The joy of having littles in my life who love to read as much as I do. We have a really great kid bookstore here with lots of events we like to attend, so this kit will be perfect. I love the colors in this kit too.

I snagged it up too. I love it and can't resist book themes either.

I really like the ephemera. Not sure about the cards. How many times can a person have a bibliophile sentiment in their documenting? Also, as always, not a fan of primary colours that scream elementary school (but I loved my elementary years!).
A reluctant pass. I read a solid 70-ish/year so I'm probably part of the target audience. I wish someone would make a kit or collection about "consuming culture" (music, series, movies, books, newspapers/magazines) that is a little more on trend with the current colour schemes, innovative with the sentiments and, most importantly, technology-friendly. Most of the stuff I read for pleasure these days is on my e-reader. It'd be nice to embrace these not-so-new consumption habits in scrapbooking products as well. There's nothing to be ashamed of.

Love it so much and I missed out on IACB first "Book Bound," physical kit last year and still regret not having it. So, I felt this was worth pulling from my annual budget to grab as I will use it all since it's about reading and I have started to document my reviews to keep in an album on my bookshelves so that I can pass it all along one day to some booklover--hopefully one of my children.
I have 3 book related stamps and I don't think I will purchase another after this kit. I do plan to re-color the digitals/add-take away text, etc to re-use them over time. Getting the kit in digital form is a winner for me!

I love it. It’s similar to but an extension of the digital kit Geralyn has had in her shop for about a year, which I already have. That book girl holding her stack (or something very similar) is already on one of my pages. I have zero use for the physical die cuts but I was tempted anyway. I’ll almost certainly pick it up as a digital kit. I read mostly on a kindle so I don’t have photos of pretty stacks of books unless I make fake ones at the bookstore or library - which I have been known to do. Given that I work at a library and most of my friends are librarians this theme is always a good one for me. Also, I read a lot and attend a book group every month. But I keep my book reviews in Goodreads and haven’t found much use for the book related cards and stamps I’ve bought in the past. At least with digital I don’t feel that I’m wasting anything if I don’t actually use what I buy.

sleepingbooty I think designers need your help to come up with themes that have not been done/need to be covered from a different angle. I think that's the big decider for me these days and is one of the big reasons I'm still sad that KP is discontinuing her shop. I didn't buy from her every month but I definitely enjoy how versatile her products are and her snarky twist. I don't see anyone filling that gap and its depressing. We need more indie designers.

I really like it and I'll probably buy the digital version. I've only bought one set of reading stamps, so this will be a nice addition.

I saw a handful of people comment sad they missed it on the instagram post so fingers crossed an email works. Also setting up a filter for release emails to go into my personal email and not just my craft email I only check in the afternoon. Not the first kit I've missed, but the first one I'm sad to have missed. I also picked up one of the new stamp sets anyway.

I'm on the hunt for a monthly PL kit, but these seems VERY themed. It’s the monthly release — FYC releases every 15th. However, most kits are less thematic, and Geralyn’s designs are only roughly every other month or so. What’s cool is that FYC isn’t membership based, so you can buy a kit or not buy a kit every month, depending on your liking!

I got a reply to my email. The kit is for sure sold out. but the stamp will most likely be restocked. Now to decide if I'll actually use the digital kit. I'd use the journaling cards, but $12 for some cards is pricey

I looked at this earlier today but didn't buy. I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy just the cards since I'm leaning heavily on digital side of hybrid for 2020. I guess now that's my plan.

If she keeps using IACB for kits, she'll need to really evaluate whether she needs to increase kit quantities because Geralyn's aesthetic is the closest to KP's and now that KP is closing her store, there is certainly an open space in the market. I'm kicking myself for not jumping on it when I saw it earlier. Oh well. I'll use the other 6 book stamp sets I have.

The kits were sold out, which was totally ok. I got a couple of stamps (plus another one was on sale) I got some of the library cards, the TN inserts, the foam letter stickers, and a gold foil number set. Never to soon to start thinking about December!!
I do want to do a TN with a book kit I have. The stamps will be fun to use as part of that kit. I also got my ds a kraft TN insert. He’s getting into drawing and likes to have books that are more his size.

The All Digital Stamp is ebook, podcast and audiobook theme. I lot of it would work for with tv shows too. I just wish it was digital stamp. Despite the name it is only a physical stamp.

I looked, added to cart then figured out with the shipping and exchange it would cost me almost $60 and I just couldn't do it for that price.

If only I were a graphic designer... I'm going to miss Kelly's snark as well. I didn't care for some decisions she'd made with her products recently such as the decrease of 4x6 cards, the typos - OH THE TYPOS!, the customer service issues that had been ongoing for around 4 years but dang it, there's no one to fill her shoes. No one to make trendy pop culture references like she did.

Since we have quite a few fanatic readers in here, I've been thinking about this thread today. Has there ever been a Scrappy Book Club? A place for us to meet weekly (Sundays, maybe?), discuss what we read that week, share how we documented the book in our PL/book review album. We could maybe manage to even vote on a book to all read the same week/month once in a while? Am I just being too optimistic with this? Who knows. Let's cast the dice anyway and see where they fall. Anyone interested?
