I like it. I turn it on and listen in the background while I put my own stuff away. I don't really watch so much as listen and it gives me a designated time to work on tidying up my space. It's looking really good this week.

Also has she shown her space. Not yet but she says she will, that she needs to clean it up (which I can relate to) I hope her daughter knows how much she loves her because she seems to be the center of her world.

It's the same for me...I use it much like listening to an audiobook. I don't feel like I need to watch these videos, but I turn them on to listen to while I'm cooking dinner or doing something else...just the scrappy chat. At first I thought what?!?!?! but then I wanted just some general chat with nothing I was actually concerned about watching and now I am through two of the three videos.
So far I've been pleased with the amount of content. I figure if I watch one video a month it's worth the $1 and I get more out of it than that. I do credit her with inspiring me to organize a lot of my supplies and to think about them in new ways.

I do agree that it's worth the $1. I like that even though she's been scrapbooking a long time she still get excited about stuff, all my friends I started scrapbooking with years ago don't even do it any more.

Well, I had issues with her on another private board (which she hair-flipped out of), so I don't watch any of her videos. I think I remember reading something about her deleting all of her stuff from a group or message board. Am I thinking of the same thing you're talking about? Can you tell us what happened? I actually deleted my post. I don't want to start drama here. I shouldn't have posted it in the first place. It was a momentary lack of good judgment, and I apologize. That isn't the person I want to be.

Yes, in her FB videos she had lots of videos where she put stuff away and commented on it as she did this.
I have said before that I think Janet fills a large niche for some people. She is informative, calm, sweet, and chatty. There are a lot of people who really try to avoid the snark and unkindness that happens on FB and other social media outlets. Many people like her for her organizational ideas and others really appreciate her easy to follow page ideas. She gives people a lot of ideas where to go for free stuff and people just seem to gravitate to her. I'm all for her doing well and living her best life whether it is on Patreon or YT. I love that so many people feel like she is their friend. I haven't joined Patreon but think that the $1 she charges goes right along with her message of that she's just doing it because she loves it. If she makes some money out of it, good for her. She definitely puts in a ton of hours.

She definitely puts in a ton of hours. I was tempted to subscribe until I realized there isn't a simple app to allow me to watch away from my computer AND that I can't FF on their platform, either. There are some creators that I love but their speech is just way too slow (and content sometimes way too long) to watch in real time. Janet is one of them. Not her fault, but if Patreon wants to pull people away from youtube, then they need to offer some of the perks that people who frequently watch youtube have grown accustomed to.

I find it weird that viewers send stuff to content creators (not just Janet, I’ve watched others that mention it). I know Janet is on a freeze, but sh’s always said it’s not for financial reasons, it’s to use stuff up.

I don’t ever plan to be in the position to have fans, but I would not be encouraging and would actively discourage that practice. I’m uncomfortable when it comes up in videos and I’m not involved in the transaction at all.

I think the gift giving is odd, too but there could be a lot of reasons for it. It could be as simple as people feeling like they know the person from watching their videos and wanting to do something nice. If you watch a lot of videos, you can definitely get a sense of someone’s style, likes/dislikes etc. or, I really like this collection, but I don’t know how to use it and I would like to see Janet or another you tuber create with it? Or maybe they’re looking for recognition/ acknowledgement of sending the gift? Or some other reason that hasn’t occurred to me?

I will admit that Tracie Claiborne colors my view of accepting gifts from your “fans”.

She just seems to have so much stuff and then viewers send her more. She also stores a lot of older stuff. I feel like it’s a scrapbooking museum.

People really seem to connect with her, more so than other youtubers. Maybe because she is so chatty and it can feel like you have someone to "talk" scrapbooking with. She seems to really resonate with a lot of people.

I also see viewers send her gift cards to use a giveaways. Her viewers are just really kind for no matter the reason.

She still puts her videos on You Tube so I dropped her Patreon. They must be unlisted, though, right? I've noticed every couple of months she'll post a video on yt explaining something she's doing on Patreon but I don't see all of her videos on yt.

I found myself rarely watching her videos any more so I still am dropping her Patreon. I do like her base page ideas and those videos are still on You Tube. To be honest most of the time I don't like the layouts she makes, but I do like some of her formulas.
