One of the 15 mom cards I made this morning. I’m loving the sheet load cards! This card was made from two sheets of patterned paper from a Michaels hot buy stack. I got the stack on sale for $4 or $5 last week. These two pp sheets were a large circle of flowers that ended up working perfectly for cards!

I haven’t made any in a while. I hope to find some time to make a bunch more soon! I’m tempted to go buy some pretty new paper but I need to use up what I have first. I need to start on Mother’s Day cards soon too. I love that you were able to make use of those big floral pages.

grammadee I love the bright orange and blue in your pages. The grey star paper works really well with the photos too. And your great birthday card. That made me laugh. I love the embossed number background.

Layout for Day #1 Beautiful sisters 15 points. How lovely! I love the photos of the (definitely beautiful) sisters and the way the two photo angles feel like a natural shift because of how you placed the photos together in that diagonal line.

For the LO I started with AussieMeg 's second sketch in yesterday's 29-4-29 challenge. My repeated shape is the circle. Great LO!! When I was choosing the sketches I was conscious of the fact that you (and others) prefer to do double page LOs, and I wondered whether you would turn it into a two-pager. You've done a great job with it, it flows really well.

I am working hard to get through some of my stash, but I need to stop replenishing it! I went into Michaels Friday and they had three Christmas stacks taped together for $4. I only bought 1 bundle, but still!

jeremysgirl 'Beautiful Sisters' I love your clean look approach here with all the white. The repetition of lined graphics is such a fun and fresh twist to play up the circles and squares. You've done great in finding the right balance with the colourful elements to complement but not overwhelm the black and white photos. Such a fresh and neat design! joblackford 'Wild For You' This MFT stamp set is stinkin' cute but you did an even stinkin'-cuter job with it! Clean and fun and oh so refreshing with all those shades of green. I love the way you tucked in those leafy elements: it brings in the jungle but still looks super clean. I'm just wild for this card. 'You're Stuck With Me' Absolutely adorable! What a great choice of colour scheme. Vert-de-gris/verdigris is always such a winner but especially paired with that soft pinky lilac. I love the contrast between the rectangular shapes all over the card and the bold round ones in the corner. gmcwife1 'I Love You Mom' So soft and pretty. Beautiful dusty shades of peach, grey and blue here. I love the colour edging work you did to bring in just a bit of contrast and framing to the card. The flower pattern paper is to die for. grammadee 'Jiu-Jitsu' I love your very smart colour extraction work here! What a neat idea to pick up on the colour of the mat to turn the whole LO into one large mat area. It really gives such a great sense of action and immersion. Great use of shape work to bring the liveliness of the sport to this double-pager as well. Congrats! 'Never Grow Old' Cuteness on the front panel, party on the inside! I love the young girl-to-aging-lady progression, so cheeky. Great sense of humour here. I really like how you favoured a white background design to keep the focus on the narrative. 'Home For Christmas' Oh, this green is one of my favourite shades so I may be a little biased... Love how you brought the outside in for this "home" LO: the winter forest wood veneer is such a great detail! As always, you do mirror elements beautifully: the three hearts on the left page echoing the three rows of photos on the right page, the semi-circle elements to hold the word elements, pattern paper as torn edges vs solid block. You've done a great job at making a LO with a softer colour palette feel dynamic! The fun energy of your brother's family is definitely reflected in your work here.

lynnek 'Love' Such a soft and sunset-dreamy colour scheme happening here, I love it! Great work pulling together vertical strips and circles for a bold, energetic graphic. The pale robin egg blue touches complement the warm orange hues superbly. AussieMeg 'Stevie & Ella' What a beautiful take on the rainbow challenge (and talk about finding the *perfect* pic for it)! I love how you extracted the purple from the photo as your recurring colour element to ground this project. Amazing layering work to make the the kiss picture burst from the rainbow. My eyes can't stop travelling all over this page. Kudos to you!

I like your MOAR! KikiPea It’s just the right amount of embellishment so the photos are still the focus.I like the balance of space on this page. Somehow it doesn’t even look 12x12. It’s just the right amount of stuff to balance with the parts that don’t have stuff. (my very technical analysis! Lol)

I am finally getting over to see this thread. This month got away from me when my cold/flu decided to return. I hope it’s gone for good now. I have posted a few layouts in the 29-4-29 threads, but I guess I need to post them here too. jeremysgirl , I love your Day l page. Those girls are so pretty and I love the cluster in the left upper corner. Great pops of color. gmcwife1 , your card is gorgeous. I love the large flowers. My large florals always go to waste because I don’t know how to use them. What a great idea to cut them into card fronts. I love this. lynnek , I love your LOVE page. Your background paper is just perfect. Such clear, beautiful photos. I love the way you used the circles. That looks like a wonderful place for a birthday! KikiPea , your Hawaii page is beautiful. I love the bright colors and the way you used grammadee ’s design for inspiration. You do such beautiful layering and clusters. Your pages are always beautiful. joblackford , grammadee , and AussieMeg , I left love for you in the gallery.

I snuck in a wee bit of crafty time to finish a card today. More Helen Dardik x Waffle Flower stamps (I have several sets of them) and Brusho black pigments frame but larger, a different blue patterned paper scrap ink blended slightly with purple for the background. It had a lot of extra space so I added butterflies in the sky. February card by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Hi Ladies- I have a couple from Rome tonight. Hope you don't get tired of Italy- I have lots to do. But first some love... AussieMeg - Santa Baby- wow you guys are having a fun time.you really captured the joy with this LO. It is so weird to me to see y'all in summer clothes. I have to remind myself that Christmas for you is in the middle of summer. joblackford - I really enjoy seeing your cards. you are very professional & polished ! The sloth(?) card is very understated & artsy but there really is a lot of elements to look at on your card. jeremysgirl - good take on the sketch. I love how the white space draws your eye to the photo & then all the colors pop. @gmcwife- beautiful flowers & stitching on your MD cards. lynnek - Do you live in southern CO also? The background paper reminded me of the wallpaper at the Broadmoor even before I really looked at what you were scrapping. (We were just there for NY with some friends.) I would like to leave Love on Flickr for any of you that are posting there, however, I seem to be Flickr challenged. I had to open a new account & haven't been able to access the 2 peas account or any of you that I have asked to follow. Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks. Back to Rome..... Have you tried PMing admin to ask for permission to join the 2Peas Gallery? I think she suggested putting in the request on Flickr AND contacting her through the board. (Instructions are in THIS thread) PS I just tried to send you an invitation and it said you had already received one? If you haven't, I will try again with a different Flickr alias (you have a few)

I finished a sketch from AussieMeg for this one - turned the sketch sideways to accomodate the photo - and I'm really really happy with the outcome! The paper is 2013, Front Porch Pebbles; the chipboard is Craft Market - how old is that stuff? I don't even know! Used a stencil and paste too for texture. layout statuesque by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Yeah, the Broadmoor is always a very fun treat! I bet New Year's would be very nice there!
