These are not stuck down, but I wanted to share anyway because I’m really happy with them! I might try out some different background tomorrow with more roses I plan to stamp, but I’ll share again if I change them up a lot. (I won’t be taking points until I actually get them done). I tried out all my random embossing folders for background today with surprisingly good results. End of February cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I’m on a mission to really USE the stamps I have, so I am trying lots of different ideas with the stamps I have. These were stamped on Ella & Viv patterned paper and pieced (just the leaves stamped on a different paper) like Jennifer McGuire showed in a recent video. I’ve stamped in this watercolor-wash paper before I haven’t cut and pieced like this. Here’s a close up. I love the effect. No coloring needed!! End of February cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr I forgot to share this extra version of the Mom die cut card I shared earlier. I did 3 different colors for the inlay - deep purple and light and dark green, and added the Nuvo drops right into the card - first time ever - feeling brave! Lol. I really like the colors of this version. Another February Mom card by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Here are the two pages I started yesterday (spritzing) and finished this morning. This guy has difficulty with focus, but he got right into assembling cards for his classmates. Each card had a greeting, two bandaids (thanks, joblackford for the idea!), and two hearts. He was VERY serious about "getting the job done" and could not even smile for his display photo! He wrote the To: and From: on the backs of them after he went home. Stick with ME, Valentine! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I used letter stickers as masks for the background, so this fits DawnMcD 's 29-4-29 Day 7 challenge (Letters), and lots of different fonts, so it picks up the Twist points, too. POINTS: two pages created and shared (4). 29-4-29 plus twist (5). #7 2-page (1), #10 hearts (2) + bonus (2). #11 blues (2), #14 torn edges (2), #17 mists (2), #19 thickers (1), #22 valentines card making (2), #23 keeping current (2), #24 old BG (2), #27 love my dgk (2), #32 stripes and hearts on each page (4), #37 2 patterns each page (4), #42 2020 photos (2), #44<24 words (1), #50 X'x and 0's on both pages (2), #57 & 58 (4). Total: 46.

Leaving some love for projects on page 2 of this thread! patin 'I'm On Cloud Wine' Such a great double-pager! I love the mix of classic (colour scheme, ephemera style) and fun (the superposition + angle at which the bottom row photos were placed). Great idea to document the dishes so carefully. The business card is a wonderful finishing touch to anchor the memory. Lovely job! 'Sorrento Coffee' I cracked up when reading the birth stone sentiment. I love the design decision to keep the background dark to let the photos do the talking. The red mats complement the yellow hues in the pics wonderfully. Great flatlay on the terrace table, by the way. 'Tivoli Coffee' The wood veneer pops add such a lovely touch of dimension to this LO. I love that you documented the weather of the memory scrapped in such a fun manner. I am now craving a cappuccino and pastries! gmcwife1 'Birthday Cards' I really like these simple but effective cards. That white background gives it such a fresh touch. I love all the geometric play you have going here between the rectangle, banner, oval/circle. 'Love You Cards' Aww, what an adorable panda pattern paper. Love the messy circle die-cuts you've used to layer under the sentiments here. The black mat works so well to help the eye focus on the cute animals. 'Love You Mom Cards' Oh my, you've been such a busy bee! Those are huge stacks. I'm impressed. Beautiful floral papers here. The gold addition for the first design is so pretty. I love the diagonal striped paper for the second design because it adds visual movement to the banner element. Kudos to you for being so productive! joblackford 'Friendship Cards' Oh my, these are adorable! I adore the black stamping vs soft pastel backgrounds. That heightened contrast works beautifully here. Kind of in love with these stamps, by the way. I love that you took a risk on the last card and made a galaxy sky-looking frame. Gives that card a different kind of dreamy vibe. grammadee 'Happy Valentine's Day Card' Love the vintage vibe with the scalloped heart, it reminded me of old Valentine's Day postcards. Those drops in the scalloped edge are like tiny pearls, how adorable. Great addition of the silver metallic to give it a fresh, contemporary twist. 'Hello You Cards' Oh, the adorableness of these! I adore the origami effect of these foxes. Such a great idea to superpose these over hearts: it looks as though they're leaping out of them. The chevron embossing adds a fun touch that complements the geometric origami style greatly and gives it some texture à la fox fur.

sleepingbooty, I am amazed at your memory planner. I love the tiny photos and write ups on your adventures. Do you do all this digitally? This has to be such a feeling of accomplishment at the end of each year. What a great way to look back and remember when and how you did something. Fabulous job! I am in awe!

Commenting on the rest of the projects on page 2. I've been feeling so inspired watching what everyone's been up to this month. It's really made me itch to make some cards and maybe even some LOs again next month! nylene 'Star Spangled Girl' Oh my goodness, before I even start with the LO, look at this adorable girl! Such a cutie... I love what you did with the LO here: the block of pictures, the red as main colour to balance out all the navy in her outfit, the beautiful banner (with sewing elements!) to evoke the festive theme, the die-cut stars, the ribbon strip with bow that mirrors her hair bow. It's perfectly balanced, chic yet fun. Very inspiring! 'The Little Mermaid' The placement of different elements, superposed and at an angle, reminds me of the flow of bubbles bursting to the surface so kudos to you for nailing the water element of the theme! I love that you included ephemera like the sheet music and school programme! The hidden journaling peeking out is adorable, too. 'Funny Face' You couldn't have made a better paper selection! The cardstock and floral paper are perfect companions to this perfect picture. I adore the die-cut doily-style elements you used to anchor the photo. Very pretty yet modern! The tab with stamped date is such a lovely, quirky touch. I think that picking a dark background floral was a brilliant idea: it gives some weight and framing to the LO but it's still fresh and spunky. 'Happy Birthday Card' So pretty and delicate! You did an amazing job building the flower composition: it's beautiful and full of dimension. I particularly love that you embossed the circle element with a wood veneer print. It gives the card such a vibrant outdoorsy theme. 'Donut Card' Oh, this one's just so punny and super kawaii. I love the "floating" effect to the donut and the attention to detail here: the popped up sprinkles, the heart embossing, the pink mat. I bet this made its recipient smile real wide! 'Little Swimmer' I know I've said it before but you are such a great scenery builder. I love that you recreated a sea environment to match Swayzee's cute swimsuit. You did an amazing job mixing the die-cut bubbles with the mixed media splatter: it really gives the whole scene more depth and a touch of extra whimsy. Your eye for colour selection is top notch, by the way. 'Chile' So much to "eep" about in this LO, nylene! The tiny heart on the small globe just where Chile is, the wood floor pattern paper to evoke the woods, the torn grounding strip of blue cardstock to mimic the snowy mountains, the plane die-cut to remember the travel part, my oh my. I'm loving all the attention to detail... Just wonderful! joblackford 'MIL's Birthday Card' This one is delicate and oh-so pretty! I absolutely love the two purple-toned papers you selected to complement the white: dreamy (they remind me of Pink Paislee). This is simplicity executed to perfection. I think your MIL will love this (if she doesn't, she's cuckoo ). Have you thought of using this die to create zen/stay calm cards ("Om")? angel97701 'Memories Of The Sea Room 3526' This is a fun double-pager! How awesome of you to build a paper cruise ship to include... I love the pattern paper strips on the bottom half of the project: they're the perfect graphic representation of the ocean waves. The wood veneer wheel is such a clever touch to "anchor" the extra photos and room key! 'DH's Valentine's Day Card' Oh my, it's cuteness galore inside! The 3D fold-out element with the banner and hearts is incredible. I love the adorable little hedgehogs. What a smart choice to pick that striped pattern paper: the long vertical stripes are such a fun contrast to the horizontal fold-out element. I love your colour selection for this project: soft hues of greige and light peach versus the bold black (dark grey?) and red. 'DS#2's Valentine's Day Card' Ah, look at these cute monsters! I'm in love with the all the mixed media work here. The heart background is striking: playful and modern. I can't get over how great these monsters look, though. They're stealing the limelight! The googly eyes must be a lot of fun IRL. I bet your son loved this. 'DS#1 Valentine's Day Card' This is very pretty. I love the geo slice effect and the watercolour(y?) pink tones with the gold outline. So soft and delicate. The slightly distressed effect of the gold paint on the sentiment die-cut is the perfect finishing touch. 'DSD's Valentine's Day Card' The repeated 'XO' on the embossed background is such a winner here! The offset 'XOXO' in the foreground brings a boost of energy. Again, the softer colour palette on top of the bold red works so well, kudos to you. And I love how you literally tied everything together with some pretty twine... gramma 'School Days' Aww, this is such a cute double-pager... I had to giggle at your mention that the kit is probably older than the kid. I love a slightly vintage vibe for school LOs so this is a total winner. I love that you used black for the background: it helps to make the photos and large kit elements pop but it's also super reminiscent of the good ol' blackboard. Great job creating visual interest by contrasting the lined pattern paper with dotted elements like the balloons, enamel dots and Nuvo (I think?) around the title. 'You Are My Superstar Cards' These are a lot fun! I love how different each one looks according to the paper and colour selection you made. The inside strip of pattern paper is a genius idea, by the way. It really makes the stars pop. 'Happy Father's Day Cards' You've been so busy! I'm super impressed with this big stack of cards... This shirt and tie design is wonderful. I adore the enamel dots as collar buttons. I love all the different types of dads you have represented through your paper selections. I think the lucky recipients of these will love your work! KikiPea 'Selfie Booth' This one is super fun! You made this intimidating pattern paper work, let me tell you... I love the mise en abyme effect of the booth pic with the frame framed by the great layering + mate which seems framed by the rainbow colour burst as well. It keeps the eye travelling and the mind thinking. You do clusters so beautifully and, once again, show off your skills on this project. I love that you used plant and floral elements for these clusters to represent how love grows, by the way. The heart dangling from the banner is one of the cutest scrap LO details I've ever seen! Amazing job on this...

This has to be such a feeling of accomplishment at the end of each year. What a great way to look back and remember when and how you did something. Fabulous job! I am in awe! Thank you... It's nowhere near as pretty and detailed as what everyone's been up to in here over the month but I do love this project (it's an amazing book of the year to look back into: it holds everything from political news to family events and guilty pleasures). To answer your question: it's a hybrid project. I type out the text on my computer (I made some templates), print them out directly on my Happy Planner sheets and then add my photos, do some stamping and adhere a few phrase stickers.

Thanks for answering my questions. grammadee , is there a bonus for finishing all 29 challenges. I looked but couldn't find it mentioned on the rules page. Thanks. There is a 50 point BONUS for completing ALL 29-4-29 challenges (with or without the twists) by end of day (MST) Friday, March 6th. All points for 29-4-29 challenges completed in March will be added to your MARCH team points. What you can add to your February total for projects completed in March are those for the 29-4-29 challenges themselves (1 for the challenge, or 5 for challenge + twist) AND the 50 point bonus if you complete them all in time. I am going to ask the team leaders, kitbop and joyfulnana to give me the names of all the people who claimed the 50 point bonus so I know who qualifies for the completers' prize.

Flickr isn’t letting me share my sympathy cards from today. Boo! I’ll try to add them later. I finished 2 painted rose cards with sympathy/thinking of you sentiments. Here’s an Instagram link instead. Not as clear a photo but you get the idea. Same sentiment on both. http://instagram.com/p/B9LB_8Pphev And I forgot to take a photo of the card I sent my 10 yo nephew - he swam in his state championships so I sent him a card that said WOW but it was just the MOM die cut letters upside down. He totally noticed. He said he’s going to save it and give it to his mother and he turned it upside to show her why. LOL It had a background with lots of celebratory words and an orange cardstock layer and said “so very proud of you” inside.

My very last two cards that I made last night after work. I found a stack of 6x6 papers all mixed up and these papers went together enough for me to start working through this misc stack Of course they are another sheet load, just not mass produced. The 3x4 is old basic grey and I have no idea what brand the peach layer is.

Oh, oh. joblackford, those are gorgeous roses. Did you offstamp to get the more faded lines in the 2nd/3rd image? and gmcwife1 - the combination of colours and papers are SO different and stunning! It feels like an image is a drawing of outerspace, it's beautiful. This is my last February layout, done with AussieMeg 's final sketch challenge. layout Katie and her british mini me by kirstendrew, on Flickr That color scheme is gorgeous! I love the torn edge at the bottom and the little half circles peeking out. Such pretty papers that work beautifully with your photos. The painted rose stamp is really neat, isn’t it - I love big and bold, and Joann’s had a glitch in the pricing a while back so I was able to get it for about 75% off (shhhhh). The light was catching the heat embossed outline in the photo I shared so I’m not sure if that’s tricking the eye - they’re all black double-stamped and clear embossed. Then I spritzed the paper with water before I stamped with distress oxide and moved the red around with a water brush. The pale one is tattered rose distress oxide on wet paper - I left that one alone. I painted the pale one’s leaves with a water brush and a tiny bit of regular distress, but the red one I stamped with twisted citron directly. The layering stamps in this set are deliberately messy and I spritzed a bit of water onto the stamp after I added the oxide ink. ETA here’s the proper Flickr photo, it’s finally working properly February cards - painted rose sympathy by jo.blackford, on Flickr

KikiPea, your page is wonderful. I love the green ink blowing background for a page about terrariums. Your clusters are gorgeous as usual. This is such a fun page. gmcwife1, your cards are beautiful. You make them look so professional. I wish I could put patterned papers together like that. Yours never clash and look like they were meant to be together. Two more great cards. I agree with joblackford that you are a card making machine.
